As the small vessel that Kane and Arelya were venturing on came to a stop at port, Kaiser looked up in awe at the city's lights upon the night sky, it was a true sight to behold, even if it wasn't the first time he had seen a big city. Thoughts of Amino Island flushed over his mind again, Ex, his crew, Don Armo, L, not to mention that weird guy from that group of "Horsemen"...He seemed to be really set on getting Kaiser to join, and it looks like he was finally where they set up shop, the Grand Line. The Blonde Fishman tried to get it off his mind, but it would probably stay there all day. Somewhere out there on this stretch of otherworldly sea is a group of intensely powerful people, of which he had only met one person.
As the Fishman tried more and more to shake these thoughts out of his head, he noticed the Captain, Nakamura Kane, jump off the ship before they had even stopped the ship, what was he doing? Maybe he really needed to go to the bathroom? Nah, he's just running along the docks, knocking people into the water and causing problems for himself. He was gonna end up with some local officers on his back if he didn't lay low, i mean, this man was nearly supernova material. Nowhere near the strength of the big ticket offenders like Straw Hat and Captain Kid, but his bounty made the cut...speaking of which, Kaiser hadn't really seen his bounty very recently. Last time he saw he was worth 26 million Beri, which was ok for a pirate of the blues, but he'd have to do better than that to let the marines know that "Maelstrom" Kaiser Spine, was a threat. However, that wasn't his biggest priority at the moment. The Fishman jumped down from the boat onto the deck and looked over to where Kane had run off to...a ship? What could be so special about this one ship? Kaiser thought to himself more as he began to walk over to the vessel that had the "Star Earring" in awe. Kaiser looked over at the boat, it was a large ship, sleek wood and an overall modern design. Atop its tall mast was the flag of the Hoshi Pirates, soaring high into the sky.
So this was Kane's ship? That would explain why he was so happy to see it, as he had probably been away for a while doing god knows what. "So Kane, this is your ship?" Kaiser said as he looked at Kane, who was standing just to his left. "Its a nice one...my last ship couldn't go on...so i had to leave her back in the North Blue." Kaiser laid his head low, regret flooding his mind. However, he popped back up, happy and peppy again. "But that's all in the past! I'm sure things will work out for me, and they will for you too."
Kaiser placed his large blue hand on Kane's ship, it felt like it was brand new, but had the aura of a seasoned veteran, it must have seen a lot in its short time on the seas. Kaiser pulled his hand back, he looked at it and could still feel the sensation of the ships wooden hull on his palms. "So Kane, is this all you came here for?" Kaiser looked towards the man of starlight, curiosity in his large eyes. "I came because i heard this place holds a wealth of information, i'm looking someone i have to...repay. Its nothing big really, just someone from my past." Kaiser scratched at his head, pulling the fish skeleton out of his pocket and looking at it again. "Is there anyone that you know that you've, y'know, got a bone to pick with." Kaiser said as he showed the skeleton to Kane. "Someday i hope to find that guy...Rin Delgado...and give him a reason to never mess with Kaiser Spine or his friends ever again." Kaiser placed the skeleton back into his pocket and took a few steps back, sat on the ground, and began to ponder. "Y'know sometimes i think about why i became a pirate. At first it was because i wanted to have fun...it was something i did with my friends when we were kids...but a series of events caused all of them to be killed...and i still blame myself for it to this day. So when i lose friend and i knew there was a way i could have prevented it, it drives me insane. I've been a Pirate for almost a year now...and i think i finally know what i want to do. I don't care about becoming the pirate king or whatever." Kaiser stood up and placed a hand on Kane's shoulder. "I want to make sure that i can see the smiles of my friends everyday, and i will fight till the day i die to make sure that dream never burns out. Nakamura Kane, were partners, so no matter what happens i will make sure to stand by you in your dreams, that's what friends do."
