The grunts just did not learn. They foolishly continued their attack with the vain hope that one of them would get lucky enough to land a fatal blow….or a blow at all. Alexander, being the agile swordsman that he was, had very little problem avoiding strikes from the brutes and putting them out of their misery before they knew what hit him. As the number of grunts quickly diminished, the silver armored woman decided to make a move. She dashed forward at Aluco, striking hard and fast. Dammit. Need to take her out before she turns the marine into ground paste. Alexander kicked back the remaining grunts in order to stagger them, pulling out his gun immediately after. He quickly turned around and aimed at the pirate woman, though by that time there was no need. Aluco took the slim window of opportunity and slit the woman’s neck before she could make a second strike. “That works too I guess.” Alexander turned back around and finished with the remaining grunts.
Alexander put the gun away and turned back to Aluco. “And here I thought Marines killed in such a crude fashion. I thought capture and public executions were more the Navy’s style. Don’t get me wrong; I have no problem with what you did. Saved me the trouble of handling her. I was just surprised.” Alexander was about to sheath his sword and leave when he noticed a man in gold standing and watching. Golden coat, blond hair, red eyes, and a sword; the man didn’t look anything like a citizen. He most likely wasn’t a marine, and not a civilian. The former would have joined in the battle to aid them and the latter would not be standing around watching calmly. The final option was that the man was with the pirates. One in silver was just killed, so maybe the one in gold was a rank above her. With the power of the silver pirate, Alexander really didn’t want to know what this one could do.
“Well it looks like we’re just getting started. The silver one just went down so are you ready to go for the gold?” The one in gold could very well be much stronger than the one that was lying in a pool of her own blood. With him watching, the mysterious pirate would probably target Aluco for killing one of his own. Aluco just showed that she was very capable in combat, so that would work to their advantage. He could go in first and give her an opportunity to try something like that again. Gripping his blade, he walked forward towards the man in gold. “You pirates really have ruined my day. I try my best to keep out of trouble and not kill people, and you all come around and force a situation that I can’t just ignore. Based on the color you wear and the fact that you were just standing there watching calmly instead of jumping in…I guess I can assume that you are either highly ranked in this band of idiots or their leader. Either way, after you I can get out of here before more of you show up.”
Alexander then dashed forward, keeping his sword at the ready. He had no idea what kind of person he was engaging, so he had to keep his eyes sharp. If he was correct, he could easily be killed if he wasn’t careful. He would grip his sword with both hands, readying his next move. He had taken no notice of what the marine girl was doing. He could only hope that she followed suit so that if he missed she could follow through with a second attack. Alexander jumped up into the air, performing a circular slash downward in order to try and strike the pirate down.
