I'm wondering if there's anyone in West Blue would be interested in playing with Ransom Belgrave. Either in the long or short term.
He could join up with almost any kind of character or group, and would most likely fill the niche of navigator, although having him "officially" join your crew/group in-character would be something that might take a few threads. I'd like to play out a first thread that's more than just "Ransom meets X in a bar and asks if he can join them." If you're heading toward the New World, that would be enough to persuade him to travel with you just out of convenience, but ideally I'd like to have some Big Damn Adventure that ends with him being roped up with you/your crew.
He probably wouldn't fit well with an actively evil or kill-happy character/crew, but I have no problem with a short term roleplay/alliance if that's the way you happen to lean.
And yes, it does have to be in West Blue, sorry. The character has a lot of concrete ties to it in his backstory that would not only be a pain to remove/rewrite, but would be really fun to incorporate in the first few roleplays. He doesn't have a reason or the means to cross into another Blue right now, so I'm not really comfortable starting off with "Ransom was suddenly in Y Blue just because."
I have had a few people approach me about joining their crews, so if you're one of them, don't worry, no one's ruled out. I'm just hoping to get a little bit more concrete discussion done, either in this thread, through PMs, or Skype (I'm wearefinallycowboys) before I commit to anything.
