Last Chance For Glory: The Beginning [Striderxan]

Tenshi slowly let the door swing back in place as he walked away from the only life he knew. His mother and father were proud of him, but Tenshi couldn’t shake the dread he felt in his gut every time he thought of leaving them. They had raised him, cared for him, and nurtured him into the man he was today. In the back of his mind he knew that this was the right decision; this was the only way he could make a name for himself. Closing his eyes, he said goodbye then turned and walked away.

With each step he took leading him away from home he grew more and more determined. His determination swelled up inside building the fire that was growing. From that moment on, there was no turning back; no backing down. It was all or nothing from here on out. Tenshi headed for the nearest local tavern in the capital Alubarna. Tenshi’s hands slipped down behind his back where he grasped the handles of his two blunderbusses that were tucked in to the back of his pants, hid underneath his purple cloak.

With those guns and the power of the Chain Chain fruit, Tenshi had no doubts he had what it took to bring even the most infamous of pirates to their knees. There were a few minor details had still had to work out, such as finding a ship, bounty stations, possibly even a crew. But, those were just minor kinks in the plan that would soon fall into place. Stirring Tenshi from his thoughts was the sound of just what he had come to find: the tavern. He stepped inside weaving his way in between the crowds of people until he found a secluded table in the back of the tavern where he took his seat.

Havoc sat glancing at the bounty poster held in his fingers; it wasa particular bounty, which deserved a particular glance. Havoc had been looking at the image above the statement of 'wanted dead or alive' all morning, his eyes studying every minute detail from before the rays of the sun ascended from the horizon to study the surface of the world. Typically, Havoc could have committed the face and name to memory by now and taken a much more hands-on approach to hunting the man down, but the stakes were much much more severe than ever before.
Havoc was scrunched up at the side of a market stall using it wide girth for shade, marvelling at the epiphet and bounty of the man he was studying. No bounty from memory came so close. This was the bounty of a man that had endured the seas of the Grandline to make his mark he, in the presence of Alabasta. Havoc had found it easy to prey on those who had already been weakened and wounded by the trials of this perilous sea and before coming here, he only had to deal with pirates. But the seas made marks of simple pirates, able to act in all stretches of the grandline, ableto plunder ships, bounty and souls at a maginitude and ease Havoc couldn't even dream to match. The only mean that were left were... survivors. Those that could stand in the face of the sea and prove themselves a step beyond the average pirate. They were big leaguers, prime time talent; the kind that could wipe him out in a bat of the hand. It was only naturall that Havoc take a little more time in preparation and forethought before making his play against such a man.

Once he had settled his nerves, Havoc decided to gather his intel, to delve of rumour and hearsay. The shop owner noticed Havoc dropping the bounty and beginning to stare into space.

"He has a fear-enducing aura does he not, brother?" began the store owner, mistaking Havoc's intensity for awe. Havoc looked up with a false small of innocence and disgenuous glee.

"Is he? I was just marvelling at all the numbers that folowed the beli sign. I just started to think to myself: wow. What did he do to make the marine that mad?" humoured Havoc. The shopkeeper leaned back aghast.

"You really don't know?" he inquired. Havoc should his head and shrugged his shoulders.

"Tell me about him," asked Havoc.

Tenshi sat silently at his secluded table, gathering what he could and absorbing all the information he could hold. He placed his right leg on top of the table, crossing his left over that; next he threw his hands behind his head where he interlaced his fingers for support as he leaned back on the back legs of the chair with a grin. Tenshi had never had to gather information before and to be honest, was expecting a task like this to be much harder. So far, from the constant murmur and chatter that bubbled from every corner of the tavern, Tenshi knew there was a bounty coming this way. Even though rumors spread across the room like wildfire, a name never was mentioned.

This may not have been the bounty Tenshi was looking for though. Men recalled events and feats that this man had accomplished at sea, but they didn’t even revere him as a man. As Tenshi took in the details from all these rumors he knew that this man was considered to be more than a mere pirate. This was what it meant to be revered and infamous; this was the very epitome of infamous. A grin spread from Tenshi’s mouth, easing its way up the right side of his face as one of his rare half smile’s took form on his perfect features.

'Now this, this is what I’ve been waiting for,' Tenshi thought to himself. 'Getting a reputation might just be easier than I thought.'

There was little doubt in Tenshi’s mind, he was a man of self-confidence. For years after first tasting the Devil Fruit, Tenshi tested his new strengths, pushing himself for potential greatness. However, if he was this feared and regarded, it wasn’t going to be an easy bounty to pull off, that was for sure. Still, Tenshi knew that with his fighting style, he was going to be something this man had never witnessed before. There was no way Tenshi was going to pass up this opportunity. A chance for glory was presenting itself before him, unfolding before his very eyes. Destiny, Fate, Luck? It didn’t matter, there it was and Tenshi was ready for the challenge. Without another thought, Tenshi waded his way back through the crowd where he set course for the shore hoping to spot the nameless pirate.
