((I haven't found anything on the following subject so I am assuming it has not been brought up or discussed.))
So recently I don't know I've been reading a lot more about Devil Fruits on this forum. Like revamping the ban list, which I am totally for. Maybe redefining the parameters of an actual Logia fruit and what makes logia... logia. And maybe what makes some Logia, closer to a paramecia. I think in actuality you should have to earn Logia through an event of some kind. Then a moderator gives you a selection of 3 Logia fruits or some Cold Hard Berry and then you can do a quick RP thread to earn it (if you want it to be quick).
BUT! Thats not what this thread is about! Nothing about that good ole Paramecia or that pain in the ass Logia, its all about the Zoan (quick question, do Zoan's have access to Gears or Auras? If they do then everything after this point is worthless argument). Now this is not a discussion about Mythical or Ancient Zoan but about Awakened Zoans. Some arguments brought up are: they're way to strong and the abilities associated with them could give them the power to god mod. Should we allow them? I say yes, but with a catch. Certain guidelines should be laid out, like what awakening gives you. It should give you as what we have seen in the Impel Arc increased regeneration, increased strength+speed, and lower awareness. Now as we all know things in the series don't always work on a text based roleplaying forum.
In order to prevent God Modding I think we should say that, for regeneration if you're defeated in combat, such as receiving severe wounds and being knocked unconscious it should take a full 6-10 posts for you to get back to normal and in the fight again.
The increased strength+speed should be obvious, it wouldn't be crazy stronger, but stronger than the average normal zoan. Finally the thing that would probably avert most from awakening would be the lower awareness. Now for some they might enjoy playing a super strong but dumbed down character (I see that awakened Zoans as companion/NPC characters would be more fitting), which is fine with me. But what about those who want to have full control with that increased strength or speed, but want the other benefits? My solution to this is to allow half-awakened Zoans. Which means you either remove one of the three benefits of being a fully awakened zoan: Regeneration, Speed, Strength and allow you to retain control of the character. Also for Half-Awakened sense they retain some sort of awareness they should have access to one more power that is not any of the three. I haven't thought out what type of powers could be granted besides the increased three (maybe an increase in a characteristic pertaining to that species of Zoan types?) but we can work this out as we go, if this thread picks up any steam.
