The wind whipped at the small dingy as waves tossed and turned the small wooden boat. However unaware to Mother nature's wrath, was the occupant sleeping within the said water vessel. Snoring loudly as the waves tossed him further towards land, the boss slept soundly. When it came to the phrase "A storm can't wake him". The creator of that phrase probably didn't mean it literally... Whatever the case as the boat rocked to dry land the white haired boy slept- until his boat lurched hitting the cold frozen land of Ice-Nine...
Blinking, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes, the seventeen year old sat up, a yawn formed out of his mouth as he realized he wasn't moving anymore... "Hm?" He started "Man, all that rocking must of made me sleepy..." He spoke in a still tired tone, surveying his surroundings he saw nothing but ice and snow- no doubt he was still in the North Blue. "Hm.. I'd thought I'd made it to the East Blue by now.." The youth muttered before getting up slowly out of the dingy, slate gray eyes shining with curiosity.
Hopping out of his sea-treading vessel, he heard the familiar sound of the snow and ice being crunched under his steel-toed boot. Taking another step he tested the ground seeing if it was safe and not loose or just a big patch of ice. Living in the North taught him to always be aware of your surrounds from an early age. Deciding to walk Abel began his trek to check out the island.
What seemed hours later, Abel found himself at a large lodger Inn, blinking he smelled food and felt warmth practically seeping from the building. Glancing up he stared reading the sign "Ice-Nine" in big bold worn out gold letters. Stomach growling suddenly in need of nourishment the young pirate decided that stopping here would be good for him. He had some Beri on him too so he could hopefully get a decent meal...
Opening the double wooden doors he was greeted by the loudness of the Inn, strong looking men and women sat at the bar and tables drinking and eating their fill. The bar got noticeably quieter but not by much as some pirates glared at the newcomer others whispered in hushed tones. Though Abel was nearly oblivious to it, walking up to a table, he waited for a waitress- a few moments later a heavy set woman with dark brown locks beady eyes and red lipstick on came over with a menu. "So what do you want kid?"
Abel looked at the menu staring at the tasty looking dishes before settling on one- Oooo yeah! That sounded good! "Um- could I have the Seafood platter please?" He asked as some people snickered at his politeness- this kid must be a rookie... The woman quirked a brow, "And to drink?" Abel hmmed for a moment before simply asking for a water. The waitress grunted and then walked off as Abel grinned starving.
Suddenly a large man with a biotic arm, a tubby stomach, and a scar that gashed over his right eye came up a devilish grin on his face, obviously looking for trouble... "Hey kid!" The white haired boy blinked before looking up at the man. "Oh hey~ Can I help you?" Abel asked obliviously. "Yeah.." The man began before grabbing the boy's shoulder hoisting him up and then tossing him. Wide-eyed Abel regained his balance and flipped landing in a crouch.
Blinking surprised he got up and rubbed his head. "Um.. did I do something wrong?" Two other guys probably part of the heavy set guy's posse. "We don't take kind to newbies, and this place isn't a place for kids- so either put em up or get out!" Smirked the man as the three began to circle him, Abel gulped- It looked like he found the wrong place to get a meal... "Hey-Hey can we talk about this?" He pleaded before the sound of the front doors opening loudly got everyone's attention...
Was someone gonna enter the brawl?
Abel certainly hoped so...
