Auron sat in the middle of the raft, swaying as he rocked from side to side. The waves mercilessly swished his small raft up and over. The sun was out, but the waves were amazingly rough for such a day. "The Heartdrinker" Auron, as he was called, sat in the middle of the raft, refusing to budge an inch and held on to the cracks between the logs with the full knowledge that his life depended on it.
============
Auron hung to the raft with the fatigue gnawing at his bones. The strong waves washed his nose with the scent of salt and fish. The smell almost convinced him to regret traveling out to sea as soon as he got out of town. If not for the reappearing image of his demented sister in his mind spurring him on, Auron might have turned back.
He couldn't wait. He couldn't let her get away. He had to follow her before she slipped from his grasp completely and made it impossible for him to ever catch her again. It was his one chance and he had to take it, no matter what he had to endure. The current began to shift the raft even harder, even as he thought this.
Rage and anger overwhelmed his heart and mind, filling him with the strength to continue holding closely to the raft on his stomach, even as the waves buffeted him from all sides and caused him to bounce on top and land on his stomach.
- "I...Will..NEVER...LET..GO!!" Auron yelled out loud while the relentless waves continued to shake him to nearly passing out.
Several more minutes passed, with no sign that the waves were getting any better. As Auron laid on the verge of unconsciousness, a silihoutte in the distance caught his eye. Auron's eyes opened wide, and as his vision began to focus more, he could see the sails and large hull.
Auron's eyes widened
= "A ship.." Auron smiled faintly as he thought to himself before he was shook again by another wave.
