We last left the Hard-Hats in their gradual drifting in the open seas of the East. With a new addition to their crew and many minor disputes and discoveries settled over their new ship. They, with the newly owned Jolly Jericho dock at another of the east blue's island's: Conomi, the home of Arlong park. Since the events of Arlong unfolded upon the island things had taken a turn for the positive as more people began to flock around the less dangerous island, with Arlong park still standing almost as a tourist attraction, and a bustling community to match, Conomi has begun to make a name for itself within the east blue as a common stop for all kinds of people.. The Hard-Hats being no exception. With the intention of Supplying once again, and a preference of a more quiet stay. The Hard-Hat's drop anchor.. As a more eventful stay once again lingers in their arrival.______________________________
'Conomi islaaaaand!~'
Torin was everything but subtle as the Jolly Jericho slowly came to halt at Conomi's small docking area, surprisingly small for a now quite busy island. Walking over to the side of the ship the docking assistants look with some wonder as Torin slammed a lever from one side to another, the bridge off the boat looking almost as if it was building itself as it unfolded. Torin happily skidded down and onto the dock, greeting the assistance as they tied the ship safely to the island. Taro was one to say about being famous, though Torin couldn't help but argue the idea. The Shell island incident was rather enormous, enough to spread at such a speed.. But would it have gotten this far into the East blue? Torin wasn't sure if they were to be greeted as just another ship or with pistols and marines the moment someone caught glimpse of his vibrant outfit. Laying low would have been the better option. 'Yea guys, I really don't think that people would know us around here, I mean would our actions spread that fast?' He turned, motioning to the town as he continued. 'I mean, this place seems pretty relaxed anyway right?'
Torin quickly after almost ate his words, literately, as a piece of paper slapped him in the face, and with it glued to his person from the wind he turned to the rest, a familiar frame resting on the paper as Torin removed his own wanted poster from his face. 'Ah well...' He mumbled to himself, rubbing the back of his head. 'Maybe they wont try to kill us the second they see us, eh?' Once again Torin was horrible with his timing, as a large bearded man came strolling up the docking area, and tapping him on the shoulder. 'You're that Hard-Hat Rookie? Right?' 'He has to be, I mean who else wanders around dressed like that.' Torin scrunched his face, and turned to the two unexpectedly large men, deathly grins across their faces as they placed his poster beside his head to compare. 'What's wrong with my!- Oh, Uhm..' From what was seemingly a beard, slithered as the large man's tentacle chin wobbled from his laughter. 'It is you!' He said happily, Torin cautious of the scary tentacle man as he raised a brow, expecting more of a death-threat than a heartfelt chuckle.
'Nice job at shell island kid! You really kicked their asses!' his much smaller more humanoid accomplice laughed along with him. 'We're in town for a few days, you come by the park and we'll buy you a drink Hard-Hat! And 'ur crew!' Torin didn't really know what to say to all this, he simply laughed nervously expecting to be stabbed and gutted in surprise, though was able to let down this guard as they walked away with a laugh and a wave. Torin quickly turned back to his crew, the same 'I have no idea what just happened' look on his face as he shook his head as if erasing it. 'Well that was.. Really cool~' He happily said with a lifting tone, turning back to the town for the final time and striding off happily. Not only had he been complimented and not killed where he stood, they actually called him Hard-Hat. 'Remember guys! We came here for supplies, as little trouble as possible!' He paused for a moment, a dim cloud resting over his head as he slouched slightly, realising the intense hypocritical demands he had made. 'I'll behave too this time..' He said quietly as he slowly edged away to check out the area. He couldn't help but feel a sinking urge in his stomach.
Something had been long left unchecked..
