Mission #38:Caught between the Desert and Ice Caps

Jack was displeased as he walked through the baking streets of Alabasta with the throngs of civilians donning colorful draping robes to protect them from the sun. The ruffian of a man also sported this wear over what his usual attire was. The hood that was drawn over his head protected from the anger wrath of the sun which continued to mercilessly circle overhead bombarding those below with his boisterous presence. He reminded himself to go back to where the small scantily dressed woman whom he had spent the night with after paying good money for when he was done with this job. No matter what the reward was for helping the King of Alabasta improve the area, the mission involved too much suffering on his end for him to forgive her for sending him out on such a perilous quest.

“That b*tch is so dead…” he muttered angrily as he shoved yet another tarrying citizen out of his way drawing suspicious looks from those that observed his rude behavior, but he didn’t care. In fact he needed to release some tension so a fight would be most welcomed by his opinion. Finally reaching the steps to the castle, Jack found himself barred by three zealous citizens bent on protecting their king.

“Grr…” Jack growled and leapt towards the men without mercy. He struck the first one with a back-fist that sent the man spiraling into one of the adobe walls two doors down [Uraate]. He then proceeded to head butt the man that jumped at him directly sending the man crumpling to the floor and lastly Jack waylaid the unprepared man coming from his right with a powerful left roundhouse kick. Dusting his hands off he marched up the stairs already in a foul mood after the small skirmish down below when the guards’ spears crossed in front of him barring his way to the castle. His patience was thinning at this point,

“You think yer a bada*s?” Jack questioned the men without looking either of them in eye instead staring only straight ahead. Just as he was about to attack a commanding voice shouted,

“STOP! Let that man pass!”

Jack snorted haughtily at the guards as a smile appeared on his face and as he passed the two frustrated warriors he left them with a small detail for them to ruminate upon until they next saw him,

“Yer king just saved both yer a*sses. Next time I hope he’s around to wipe yer a*ses when ya crap yourselves” he said with a mean undertone. The men tensed up angrily in response to Jack’s words much to his delight, but they responded no further to his provocation choosing instead to follow their King’s orders and stare straight ahead.

Once inside the main parlor Jack was seated with the king across from him at the very long dining table. The two men eyed each other cautiously for they both had reputations that preceded them; King Cobra was quite devoted to his people and would die before he allowed any harm to them while Jack was a notorious criminal whom the government was quite eager to get a hold of. Several moments of silence passed before the King finally coughed and explained the silence,

“We are simply waiting for the others to join us at the table”

Great.. Jack thought miserably.

The next person to enter didn't have much trouble doing so. Though he didn't know his way around the capital city of Alabasta, Sudou Tatsuya didn't have trouble finding the palace. The place stands out pretty compared to a lot of the other buildings but was more curious to the Lunatic with the unhealthy obsession with fire was the nice little trail of chaos that littered the path to the front gates. Tatsuya himself was wearing a long black coat and black slacks with shoes. The temperature being too hot in the desert for the rest of his usual attire.

Sticking his tongue out and fanning himself a bit from the heat he then continued onward, licking his lips to moisten them more than anything else.
He was actually invited to see the king as oddly as that was something, about transporting ice from Drum. Not that it mattered to him really, but the Voices had bid him come and he always listened to the Voices. Sudou seemed to dodge his way through the crowd and for the most part seemed a lot less violent then his predecessor, but this was because the wild look in Sudou's eye, the lack of the other was was left uncovered and and the wicked smirk on his face seemed to discourage anyone from getting too close to him.

Normally the first thing people noticed on the platium blond haired man was his eye... or rather lack of and it had become entertaining to see how others reacted to it. He had been very self conscious about it for but after the Voices told him it was part of his "awakening" he had no qualms about showing it off proudly to the people around him. Such ignorant people as they were... He would show them the true path once the prophecies were full filled.

The Guard stagged at his sight, their eyes clearly on his missing eye, before looking at the rest of him. Though that didn't help their opinion much, but Sudou wasn't here to hear the opinions of the palace staff on his appearance. "Stand aside!" He barked in a shrill voice that suggested that what sanity he had was few and far between. "I've been invited." He said far more calmly as if he hadn't been yelling angrily a mere second ago. He then pushed the guards aside and walked in as if he owned the place, it was only a stern look from the king that held the guards at their post. "Your Majesty, Nefertiti Cobra I presume?" Sudou said with a bow, but looked at the king, never loosing eye contact. The pyromaniac then took his seat near his predecessor, not paying the other man any mind save for a brief glance and a grin.

Syphalia crossed through the streets of Alubarna, the scent of the land around her was oddly familiar. The town, the smells, the sounds everything was very much like deja vu (if you read her profile you'll understand why). Her black hair was hidden under a cloak she had specifically purchased for this mission. The cloak was light enough so that it didn't heat up nor did it allow her hair to take in much heat. Her body was oddly tolerant to the heat of Alabasta, the dry land didn't seem to affect her as much. She wondered why quietly as she strolled through the streets of Alubarna.

(Just in case your too lazy to read her profile) Syph was unaware of her past, she was in truth the daughter of a pair of (now dead) nobles that had originated from this very city. In some ways she was the exact replica of her mother, just younger. Having lost her memory after a fatal pirate attack in which the lives of her mother and father were killed, the only reason she survived being that she had fallen off the ship onto a small raft and floated to safety. Now she worked as a blacksmith, though she did take up other missions every now and then when her work went sour. Finally Syph neared the part of town closer to where she had lived.

As she continued walking she heard a large gasp. Followed by a yell "Lisanna!!" a man had walked up to her, he seemed like he worked for nobles. Staring straight at her he suddenly hugged her "I thought you were dead!! Your ship was supposedly destroyed by the pirates! What happened? Where are your parents?"

Syphalia stepped out of the hug "I'm sorry I think you've mistaken me for someone, my name is Syphalia Minalion." The man looked on with a confused face. He commented "No, you are definitely Lisanna, I should know i watched over you when you were young. You look just as beautiful as your mother did." His eyes were soft and Syph noticed tears welling up in his eyes. She thought to herself The name is oddly deja-vu like, but I don't remember him or my mother. Maybe . . . no its impossible, there is no way I was ever someone similar to his class . . . or was I?

The man continued to shed tears he continued "I must tell the others, one of the nobles daughters has returned, Lisanna-hime!" Syph (or Lisanna ) put out her hand to stop him. She slowly said "Even if I am this Lisanna you speak of you must not speak of this meeting. If a noble i was, it makes no difference. I am no longer one now, nor would I wish to become one. I am sorry, but this 'Lisanna-hime' is not coming back. I wish you well, whoever you are." Kissing his head she nodded to him and walked off. The man reached at her but she dodged away, suddenly within a realization he turned to her and spoke "Long Live Lisanna!" Bowing to her he walked off, tears were still rolling off his face.

She showed little emotion on the outside but she was so confused on the inside. She thought to herself Maybe i truly am the Lisanna that he speaks of. A noble, to think I am of that quality of blood, anyways a noble i no longer am. Simply a commoner, I guess this secret is mine to keep to myself. I hope there are no more disturbances of such . . . my name is . . . Syp- . . . . Lisanna? Bringing herself back to the real world she found herself in the Central City Square. Around her people bustled endlessly, turning around she found herself standing before her final destination, the Alubarna Palace.

Walking toward the entrance she was stopped by a pair of guards. They asked her reason for coming, though they probably expected this already. Reaching for her satchel she pulled out the mission request she had received weeks earlier. After showing it to the guards they let her through with little more trouble. She walked past them with a new strut in her step, maybe deep inside her flowed the blood of a noble. Syph/Lisanna placed her hand on the doors and pushed them open.

(OOC: I'm going to start referring to her as Lisanna as it is her true name)

Lisanna passed through the doors into the atrium of the palace. Before her lay a dining table at which three men stood. One King Cobra, and two other men of much lesser esteem (actually she had no clue who they are, btw jack im going with before though tell me if u want otherwise). Greeting the king without even a look at the other two she started "My king, I believe you called me my name is Lisan- . . . . I mean Syphalia Minalion," taking out her papers she showed them to the king. "I am glad I could be of service to you." with that she ended. Turning to the other two at the table she said "I'm Syphalia, but you can call me Syph, nice to be working with both of you." She walked over to a seat on the other side of the table and sat down.

((Sorry for the wait, school and stuff kept me busy. My posts will hopefully be more frequent!))

The three who were now sitting in the magnificent palace of Alabasta, had arrived after making the arduous trek to the sun-scorched land. One rough looking man seemed to be unsure why he had accepted the mission, another with a missing eye had apparently followed the instructions of voices in his head, and the last woman to arrive had a mysterious and painful past with Alabsta. It was almost a story waiting to be written, with three people all very much different but each with a story of their own that anyone would be eager to hear. However, there was a fourth person in the room (besides King Cobra) that did not quite fit into the mold. He was a wrench in the promising tale's prose, demonstrating this as he broke the regal atmosphere of the palace with a series of loud snores. In a chair not too far from the large dining able where the three whom had taken up the mission of glacier-delivery, sat Gavin Amadeus D'Arras, sprawled out with his head dangling limply to the side. His ability to find himself in sleeping in the most strangest of places was uncanny; as to how he had been able to gain entry into the palace was as of now, unexplainable. It was especially unexplainable to the young musician himself. He was not there with any motive or with any past; Alabasta was just another stop in his meandering journey across the world.

The king, and presumably the others as well, had not taken notice of the sleeping troubadour until he had made the crude noises in his sleep. However, Gavin had now made everyone else painfully aware of his presence, and so King Cobra turned his attention to the snoozing guitarist.

“Why don't you join us, young man?” he said in a low, authoritative tone that was certainly quick to the point.

Gavin was usually an abnormally heavy sleeper, but apparently the king's tone had cut right through the warm blanket of his lazy nap. His eyes opened slowly, dark circles evident below them as the young musician looked to the older man with sleepy eyes. Gavin's jade orbs listed lazily to the other three. He honestly had no idea where he was, and he did not recognize any of the people sitting before him. There was a moment of silence, before the wandering musician arose from the chair at a painfully slow pace, before stretching out his limbs to their full length, accompanying this with a loud yawn. While attempting the rub the sleep from his eyes, Gavin responded.

“Yea, sure, man...” Gavin muttered, not taking any care to address the king formally. He was still half asleep, and thus was compliant to the king's wishes. He lazily trudged to a seat, his slouched posture, dangling arms, and dragging feet hardly appropriate behavior for being in the presence of royalty. King Cobra, however, merely watched the odd young man as he made his way to a chair, nearly collapsing in a seat next to Syphalia... or Lisanna? Something. With a dopey grin and sleepy eyes, Gavin looked over the woman who was sitting next to him. “Hey, man,” he said to her. This was Gavin's half-asleep, and halfhearted attempt, at introducing himself.

King Cobra did not remember inviting more than three people to the meeting, but with all of his kingly duties to worry about, it was possible that it simply slipped his mind. Gavin was obviously not from Alabasta and in this mission, it would not be logical to turn away further aid. Besides, in accepting Gavin into the mission, it allowed the issue of how the odd musician had found himself into the palace in the first place to be placed in the back of the king's mind. After all, if he had not been given an invitation to come to the palace, how else had he gained entry?

With the group apparently all assembled, the king cleared his throat and spoke.

“Well, now that everyone is here, we can continue.”

“I am glad that you could all come, my guests. You are most welcome in the kingdom of Alabasta” the king loquaciously began his introduction and Jack had to stifle the impulse to hold the bearded man at sword point to get him to the point. He hated long winded politicians and to him that’s what kings were, politicians,

“Here in our fine kingdom as you can tell we suffer from immense dryness and the rain comes far too erratically for our people to logically depend upon as you may have noticed” he explained while wringing his hands at the head of the table,

“…now I have come upon a excellent agreement with the leaders of Drum Island to transfer some of the immense ice caps to this country since those are fresh water sources that would survive the journey as well as provide us with reserve water for a long time should we suffer from a drought ever again” he finished with a slight heave of breathe. Jack’s eyes cruised from the king to the other sordid individuals that had been gathered here apparently for the purpose of being convoys for the benefit of the country. Before the king could continue on his proposition Jack slammed his hand loud enough upon the table to draw everyone’s attention and then he threw his feet up onto the table which they were sitting at,

“Listen you royal HIGHNESS. I ain’t got time to be playin’ taxi for some damn ice caps” he bluntly stated. Counting off on his fingers he gave three reasons why he refused to do what was going to be asked here,

“Number one maybe its my bad ears, but I ain’t heard you comin’ out yer pockets with any type of reward fer this little job yer proposin’” he began,

“Second, where the hell do we get ship to f*ckin’ carry these d*mn caps? You got ships that damn big?” he snorted as his anger began to build; this king’s ignorance was just like that of every other pissant he had met in his life. Always assuming that they had accounted for everything just because it was for a good cause,

“Lastly,” he came to his closing arguments,

“…it wouldn’t be a stretch to say that we’re all pirates here. There are gonna be people who want our a*ses on a stick. Not to mention the Government, how are ya gonna protect us?” he said as he leaned back into his chair with his feet still on the table. He wondered if any of the other freaks that had shown up would open up their mouths and say what they were thinking. Truthfully he would have rather had simply just cut the b*stards to pieces and done things his way for the right price.

Sudou gave a brief look to the snoring guy then to the new girl that seemed to be unsure of who she was. That was a pretty sad thing, not being sure of who you were... everyone should at least know that much, he thought with a slight bit of pity. She then introduced herself to them. "Sudou Tatsuya, follower of the order of In-Laqetti." He replied back to her simply before the sleeping guy woke up and "joined the party". The king didn't seemed to mind the guy sleeping through this little "chat" anyway. The way the king talked was long winded and reminded Sudou of his dad.

The pyromaniac heaved a sigh of utter boredom and was about to start making mocking "hand talking" gestures when the guy that he first noticed, the entertaining one, kicked his feet on to the table and started to put an end to the boredom for him.His grin widened as the guy spoke. "I gotta say, this guy's got a point... speaking of points get to it! What's in it for us?!" Sudou snapped in annoyance. "I assume you got a ship prepared for this, but you better have a reward and have our backs at least!" He added with a bit more calm but still irritated. He started to twitch a little but folded his arms behind his head to calm himself. The voice didn't want him to roast this guy... at least not yet.

Lisanna watched as the men made their protests to the king. The need for rewards and transportation were right on their mind (though surprisingly food was not an issue it seemed). Crossing her legs on the table, the cloak slid off her bare legs (except for a pair of cotton short shorts). Her bare feet had shoes on them this once, she had thought in the presence of a king it might be better to have shoes on than be barefoot.

Her feet, because of her short height, barely made it over the top of the table. She agreed with them in silence, rewards and transportation should be provided by the king, with his fortune he should easily be able to scrounge up enough for a ship for four (plus ice) and a reward for the job. Unknowingly she had left her hood on her head, so they had yet to actually see her face. Noticing she slowly removed the hood pulling her hair out of the cloak. Her long hair draped over the back of the cloak and the hood. Her black hair burned hot because of the heat outside, but slowly it began to cool as it sat in the cold air of the palace.

(OOC: I dunno i didn't really have anything to post here, nothing of interest to me yet, i'm stumped on this one srry)

After everyone had arrived, the king began his long-winded welcome and explained the purpose to why they had been gathered together. It seemed it was a delivery of sorts, but considering it was a whole glacier, it was certainly a delivery of grand proportions. While King Cobra’s situation certainly was one worth attention, it was not worth Gavin Amadeus D’Arras’ attention. Very few subjects were, after all. As the king explained his proposal, Gavin was simply looking around the large dining room with a spacey look on his face. Whatever sounds that were coming out of King Cobra’s mouth only served as a muffled, incoherent background noise for the sleepy musician. However, Gavin was suddenly snapped out of his stupor when the rather rough looking individual of the group, loudly slammed his hand onto the table and rudely interrupted the king.

“Listen, your royal HIGHNESS.”

The wandering musician looked to the man, blinking a few times as he listened to the ruffian loudly ran his mouth, with various obscenities scattered throughout the rant. Although the questions were certainly relevant the way in which Jack presented them was… less than charming.

It seemed the loud and foul-mouthed was nearly the exact opposite of Gavin; while Gavin avoided conflict whenever necessary, it seemed Jack sought it out whenever possible. The groggy troubadour hardly was in the right state of mind to make such observations himself, and he merely looked to Jack sleepily, but curiously. With his three concerns made perfectly clear, Jack leaned back casually. The king seemed at a loss for words for a moment, and before he could make any assurances to the 40 billion beri man, the other man with the mask spoke up as well.

"I gotta say, this guy's got a point.”

Sudou seemed to echo the sentiment of Jack, suddenly snapping and talking to the king with thinly-veiled irritation. With the twitches following, the masked man’s grip on his own sanity was certainly in question. The hooded woman on the other hand, did not seem to find importance in the complaints of the other two men, remaining silent and propping her feet on the table. She finally lowered her hood shortly after this, letting her black locks flow freely. And so, with everyone’s opinion known, only one person remained to be heard from: Gavin Amadeus D’Arras.

The young musician seemed to be pondering the issue with serious thought, the furrows in his forehead deep to accompany his hard squint. After tapping his chin for a few more seconds, Gavin finally spoke up.

“Hey, man, I’m not a pirate,” he said plainly, rubbing his chin and nodding wisely after the statement. Choosing to forego the route of commenting on one of the important, useful points Jack brought up, Gavin chose to voice his opinion about Jack’s earlier claim that it “wouldn’t be a stretch to say that we’re all pirates here.” Although it was true that Gavin was not a pirate, it was hardly a relevant point. However, Gavin was as carefree as always, choosing to simply ignore the dangerous prospects posed by the mission. As the dopey guitarist used a pinky to clean his ear, Gavin’s role as a useful asset in the glacier-delivery mission was surely under some serious debate.

Jack heard several responses, but it didn’t matter to him since the king himself still seemed taken aback by the directness of Jack’s statements. Even this reaction irritated Jack whose temples swelled angrily as the moments passed before the king finally spoke,

“But of course. I would never ask you fine ladies and gentlemen to risk your lives on such a journey with nothing in return. Furthermore…” he said as his eyes slid over to the arrogant Jack Dancer,

“…I have worked with pirates before. In fact, they have become quite famous you see. I’m sure you have heard of the Mugiwaras. The are great ally to Alabasta and is the reason we hold no contempt for the most part towards pirates, you see” he explained. Being that Jack was never fully aware of the political standings of the world and who had become well known so he had no idea who the King was referring to, but he assumed that they were important,

“Look gramps…I don’t give a rat’s a*s who ya know. As long as you have everything figured out and we have a navigator along with a ship…” he prattled on as he rose from his seat,

“along with a reward I don’t care about anything else. Not even about this sweaty a*s country. With that being said give us the directions and we should be on our way” he said as he extended his hand while his body was already turned to walk out the door. The guards were visibly becoming agitated with his arrogance towards the king and they were not particularly fond of the attitudes of the other members at the table, but at the King’s signal they maintained their posts,

“Hohoho!” laughed Cobra,

“You’re all interesting people after all. Of course I will entrust the coordinates to you and one of our kingdom’s finest navigators awaits you at the east dock. Please be very careful” the old King beckoned.

“Hmph…” Jack tutted as he snatched the paper away from the king. He couldn’t read maps or any piece of literary work for that matter, but he would just give it to someone who could when the time came. Looking to the other members of the table he issued a single question,

“Are ya gonna get off yer a*ses or what?”

Jack was clearly not a politician, but Sudou was the son of one and he understood the important of keeping tabs on the media. Not to mention that the information supplied by the king could get him in a lot of trouble if the World Government knew about it. The old man really was desperate if he was letting Jack talk down to him and trusting them with such information as befriending one of the Supernovas. It looked like the Voices had steered him here for good reason after all.
The lunatic stood up ignoring the comment made to him by jack. He had a much better "reward" in mind for his co-operation. A reward that would also aid in his goals. "Shower these guys with all the money you want, but I ain't bought on that crap!" He snapped out. "I bring you your little glacier, I want A Temple of In-Laqetti built here in for kingdom." He demanded, his one remaining eye focused seriously on the king who seemed to be taken aback by the request, but smiled as agreed.
It seemed the king wasn't too familiar with his cult, but no matter. Tatsuya was sure that he could convert these heretics into proper followers of the Voices upon his return. Satisfied that he was doing his religious duty, he turned his attention to the others and followed after Jack to get to the ship. The sooner they got this done the sooner he could establish his religion on Alabasta and branch out from there.

Lisanna listened to the qualities of the ride they'd be taking. And all about what they would be doing generally. Important information for an important job, the information outlined would most likely be crucial in the job they were undertaking. Well not that the job was not extremely crucial to her, but the extra money would be nice. She dropped her legs down to sit upright again. It seemed they would be on the move again . . . to the docks!!! A hunt for icebergs, just how hard could this be anyways. All they had to do was go to Drum Island and come back right?

Another man made a move, he was requesting the creation of a temple for some unknown cult. What a weird idea, it'd probably never become popular. And taking a good look at the man, it seemed the only ones who would join were absolutely insane. Or at the least this guy was insane. Not that any of the others were probably any more sane than this guy.

She sighed, why did she always get stuck with the weird people. Lisanna pushed herself out of the chair and turned to leave. She curtly nodded to the king and dismissed herself from the table.

From there she headed out in the direction of the docks, the adventure was just about to begin.

[Terminally Chill]

The arrogant ruffian continued to be obnoxious, speaking loudly and rudely to the king with the usual obscenities. It seemed King Cobra had no intention of allowing any of Jack's concerns to become a reality, perfectly prepared to make the rag-tag group's journey as comfortable as possible. Reassured by Cobra but hardly grateful to him, Jack stood up from his casual sitting position and held out an outstretched palm. With not even a “please,” Jack was demanding the king hand over the coordinates. The king seemed taken back once more by the man's arrogance. The guards present were hardly impressed as well with the group, and looked as if they were going to take a step forward. Raising a hand, King Cobra ceased any movement, and the guards returned to their previously statuesque posture. It seemed Nefertiti Cobra had dealt with such thugs in his time as King of Alabasta, and, keeping his composure, merely let out a lighthearted laugh in reply to Jack's antics before handing over the coordinates to the 40 million beri man.

With a snort, Jack turned away from the king, passing by he table where the three were still sitting in silence, before turning to speak to them.

“Are ya gonna get off yer a*ses or what?”

Gavin blinked a few times at the man who was a bit... rough around the edges, so to speak. He merely shrugged at Jack's remark, not exactly sure what was even going on at this point. The masked man who had snapped earlier stood up from his chair, making his disinterest in money made known to the king. It seemed he was interested in a higher purpose than earthly riches, demanding that King Cobra build a temple in honor of a mysterious religion Gavin had never heard of in Alabasta as payment for his services. With the king in agreement, Shou turned to follow Jack to their ship. Lisanna followed suit, sighing before rising from her seat and politely bidding farewell to King Cobra.

Gavin thought for a few seconds about what he should do at this point, before getting out of his seat as well. While the young musician really had no idea what this mission was about, it seemed that the king was talking to him as if he were a part of the group. So, it seemed it was in Gavin's best interest to follow these people. After all, it wasn't as if the wandering guitarist had anything else to do. And, so, just as he was the last to join them at the table, Gavin was the last to leave. Lazily walking in the same direction as the other three, Gavin gave the king a dopey smile and a wave.

“Later, old dude, man,” the troubadour said to the king, including “man” in the sentence even though it made it sound grammatically ridiculous. That's dedication! The king was taken aback for a moment, before returning the wave and a confused smile. And so, with that, Gavin joined the rest of his temporary comrades as they assembled at the docks.

Soon Jack found himself along with the other strangers who had been at the table at the docks under the surveillance of many of the country’s Royal Guard; his desire to fight made his fingers twitch slightly as his arms hung limply at his sides. Eying a few of the stoic, muscled men Jack flashed a menacing smile disconcerting a few of them. With visible disdain for the young man that now moved amidst their ranks the guided the suspicious group of individuals whom the king had decided to rest their country’s hopes upon; a thought Jack was sure didn’t sit too well with them.

“The navigator is aboard the ship sir” indicated a young man with a bowed head and extended arm of invitation towards the ship.

The man seemed to be about Jack’s age, but they were worlds apart. It seemed that they could have easily been opposite sides of the same being and for a brief moment he peered at this boy without an ounce of expression upon his face. When the instance passed Jack simply walked away without saying anything to the young man who now stared at him with a questioning look upon his face. Meanwhile Jack made a mental note to kill that kid if he ever met him anywhere else in the world. The ship was an elaborate vessel built easily for an entire 8 man crew with several masts and sails fluttering in the wind. Its color a magnificent golden yellow that seemed to bask in the sunlight that rained down from the skies,

“At least people will know we’re comin’” grumbled Jack as he attempted to veil his amazement at how grand the ship was. He hadn’t expected that the King would have provided them with such a capable vessel. Just then an old man stepped out from a pair of double doors apparently made out for the person, who was going to captain this mission,

“Hello there young people” the old man joyously waved. With narrowed eyes, the gruff looking young man examined the navigator and could immediately tell that this was a highly trained military man no matter his appearance. Physically the old man’s body was ripe with muscles that glistened in the sun and his height was comparable to that of a half giant. Surely not someone to be taken lightly,

“Just call me Stronghammer” the old man introduced himself as one of his massive hands fell down to a large hammer that rested in a crook in his belt.

Interestin’ Jack thought evilly as a dark grin took hold of his facial features.

Sudou paid no mind the the man that seemed so unlike Jack that announced the navigator was on board. There wasn't much left to do now but wait until they got to drum Island. It mattered little that the fate of this country was on his shoulders. He had the Voices on his side so such problems seemed little to the lunatic. Thus it was with an aire of confidence that he walked aboard the fine vessel the king of Alabasta provided them. He was a little hungry though and thought about going inside the ship to search for a snack to help pass the time.

The Ship was not small, in fact it was rather grand and extravagant as Jack muttered about people noticing them. Tatsuya was impressed but less so, he had seen and been on sure vessel's before. Such was the life of a son of a politician, you got to enjoy such things but miss out of other things that most families took for granted, like any sort of loving or caring parent as he sure as hell didn't have one of those growing up.

His private grumbling on about his Daddy issues came to and end as a large but old man came out to greet them. The platinum blond figured this must have been their navigator, and though he was ok at navigating, he doubted anyone else here could do it as well as this guy. He had the feel of a Military man about him and as he introduced himself, Sudou wondered just how well "Stronghammer" could fight with that hammer? At any rate the navigator didn't look like he's be useless if they ran into problems.

Lisanna (Syph maybe i'll switch back) walked forward to board the ship. Taking a second to admire the ship, she noticed the beautiful designs and furnishings. Normally she wasn't much for this, but it was a royal vessel, maybe it was worth taking note of. It definitely would stand out no matter where they went. They truly were travelling in style!

She proceeded to board the ship, she knew that on this kind of vessel there would definitely be different quarters so she took a quick sigh of relief. It could have been a small shitty ship in which she would get stuck with the males, which would have been horrible. She turned to take notice of the navigator. He was old, but from the look she could tell he wasn't one to mess with. His burly body was humongous, not to mention all the rippling muscle. And as to top it off he had of all things a giant hammer. It fitted him well, the hammer made perfect sense with the body. Even more so since his name was "Stronghammer".

She nodded to him "Well in that case, I'm in your care, now I think I'll go search out my lodgings." Walking away from the man, she went down below deck to find a room to stay in.
