Name of Island: Amino Island
An Entertainment Island
Size of Island: Small; only two main cities
Location of Island: North Blue
Inhabitants: Business people, consumers, and entertainers. Open to pirates as long as they don't cause any trouble.
Town(s)/Village(s)/City or Cities:
Ana Nine: Smaller city that surrounds 3/4ths of Serine in a 'C' shape. This city is full of apartment complexes and other sites for locals to live. There are smaller businesses here, including cafes, pubs, market-stores, etc. Most of the people born and raised on Amino Island live in this area, though many work in Serine. The place is all flat land, but there are a few trees and grasses. However most of eve this place is cemented or bricked over. The structure of the houses is modern and made to save space. Everything is at least 3 stories and most is made of plaster, brick, or cement because of the shortage of trees. Technically it is illegal to chop down any of the islands remaining trees, but the Governor, like the one in Seline is corrupt and allows for logging as long as he's paid off first. The law-enforcement consists of a sort of local police, since Marines very rarely visit the island. Their are many of these police, but they are not very well trained and act more like security guards. Their are seasonal snowfalls, but this city, like the rest of the island keeps an average temperature of 75 degrees, thus being one of the warmest Islands in North Blue.
Serine City: Serine City is where the action is. It is a Entertainment-based city, with casinos, bars, strip clubs and more. It's a city that operates its business at night, though all sorts of criminal acts occur in the daylight hours as well. Crime rate in this city is high, but it also has a better law-enforcement team. The Shields are an elite group of police, trained to take care of the gangsters, bandits, and pirates that like to make trouble in this city. There are not as many as the police in Ana Nine, but their strength makes up for it. It is rumored that a few even have Devil Fruit powers, though so far those are only rumors that have not been proven. They are controlled by the Governor of city, who is corrupt and can be paid off (though for much more than the Gov of Ana Nine). He often uses the Shields to take care of personal vendettas. The buildings here are very packed together, and there is no room for trees or grass. It's all paved and modern. Serine also experienced seasonal snowfall, but the average temp is a high 75 degrees, one of the highest average temperatures in North Blue.
Flora and Fauna: Very little Flora, just a few simple common trees in Ana Nine. There are raccoons and other animals that live in residential areas, along with rats, bugs and mice.
Island History: Amino Island was found around 400 years ago as a small island with common but copious amounts of green vegetation. A cruise liner was what reported the island, after they has steered off course during a storm. One of the passengers Gran Tino Amino, an aspiring manager was very interested in the property, and he quickly sought out rights to the land. He hired carpenters to begin building a studio first, chopping down many of the trees the island had. He was spending a lot of money to have it done, and most people thought he was wasting it, but he continued to build things one by one.
Eventually his instincts were right about the place, and the island turned out to be a great place for entertainment grounds. He convinced a very famous performer to tour to the island, and people flocked to the stadium, the biggest one in North Blue, to hear her sing. Once he got people there it wasn't hard to get them to stay. New jobs, fame opportunities, and the entertainment on the island itself were enough reason to stay.
Now after so long Gran Tino is long gone, but his island of dreams remains, though probably not quite as he remembers it. Nearly all of the trees have been cut down by now, with only a scarce few remaining. Residential places have popped up, but so have casinos and bars. Though the famous Gran Studio still remains, it is much harder to get a contract with them, and performing at the Grant Stadium is an honor only for the best.
This island has the best and worst sides of the entertainment business in North Blue. Though it's were some of the best get their shot, it's also where they can get caught up in the wrong crowd and lose their dream forever. It's definitely someplace you should be careful of, even if it's fun.
