The Prince and the Hatter (New Nadima + open)

It was a bright day and for Morcant's taste; waaaaaaaaay to hot. Not a single cloud to make shade was on the sky and even the birds found it too hot to fly around.
Morcant walked down the main street, dragging his feet and trying to stay on the shady side of the road. There weren't many people beside him outside. Everyone who could stayed at home and was waiting for the evening, where the temperature would hopefully drop.

"THIS WEATHER IS TOO HOT!!" he cried out loudly, scaring the people near him. Which of course didn't bother him one bit.

Since he didn't had a goal to begin with, he sat down on the corner of the street, took of his top hat and used it as a fan and watched the people around him.
Mor was already half asleep when a conversation near him, attracted his interest.

"I heard the marines catched a whole bunch of pirates!"
"They were making a ruckus and got caught."
"That young boy is their leader." - "That boy?! Can't be, he doesn't look older than 16." - "But seriously, he does look like his evil."

Morcant hide closer in the shadows, when the marines appeared. He wasn't a searched pirate yet, but he would be one day. He watched as the marines went on their way to the Base, having a bunch of not-in-so-good-shape people with them.
One of them had golden hair and crimson eyes. Something in this eyes told Mor that this person wasn't a mere pirate.

He put his hat on again and followed them. He was not sure what he wanted to do, but right now they looked worthy of his interest.

The bonds were nothing to worry about, his people should have been fine, he would protect them. As for him, he was in a more tougher situation. Due to him being the Prince Leader, he was locked up in a cage. Obviously if he tried to escape, they would pull something on him so he played it smart. He was a wonderous site to see, a handsome young boy, with crimson red eyes. He was sitting with his legs crossed, and his arms folded. His eyes were closed but every now and then he would open them to observe his surroundings. Even in a cage, he had that vibe of importance and power. Something that a cage couldn't hold in.

As he was taken down through the streets, he heard murmurs, taunts, gossip, and many more. Oh how he remembered back in Ramerack, the people were so lively. Now look at what had become of his Kingdom. The damn Cobra Clan would perish by his hands.

After an hour of carrying him to the Marine base, one of the officers had the guts to ask him a question.

"So fella, I'm Lieutenant Heath....... a spark was ignited in Tensai's very soul when he heard that. One of his nakama back in Ramerick had the same of Heath.

"Would you mind answering a few questions like, who are you, what did you want, why do anything so foolish?"

Tensai didn't even budge and his eyes were still closed, not acknowledging this officer very much. "Do not ask me questions....." and that was all he said, before the gates opened and he was plunged into the Marine base.

They just finished to cross the doors of the Marine Base when an amused voice coming from behind interrupted them.
"You're just like a bird in a cage, don't you think so. And yet you don't want to sing. That's bad. Bird who don't sing will be silenced forever. You don't want to be beheaded, do you?"

Without minding that this was a Marine base, he steeped through the door and stopped in front of the Lieutenant that had talked to Tensai. He and the other marines were too perplexed to react to this unexpected situation. Not aware of the state he had left them in, or at least not showing any sign of being aware of it, he started a talk with the Marine.

"Must be hard to have to interrogate such stubborn guys. Makes you wonder why you joined the marines, doesn't it?"
He took of his hat and used it as a fan again. "What did he do?"
And then he turned directly to Tensai. "What's your name brat? You look still wet behind the ears and yet you got yourself into trouble already. Tss.. What an annoying brat."

Finally the marines awakened from their freeze. The lieutenant grabbed Morcants arm.
"I'm sorry sir, but this is a marine base and you can't just walk in. I have to ask you to leave immediately."

She wasn't built for that kind of weather, it was simply just too hot for the likes of her. The small girl known as Skelette was walking through the sweat inducing heat with a tired, almost dog like panting expression. Her feet dragging behind her, digging up the lose dirt beneath her feet. Sometimes she wondered exactly how she ended up in places like Winchester Island, just hours ago she was snug as a bug in a rug, a passenger aboard a pretty decent ship. Now the girl was stuck on a terribly hot island with practically no way off. The supplies on her back were not on her back any more, but were being dragged behind her with one hand. Eventually it became a little too much for the girl, letting go of the bag as she fell face first into the ground, or to be exact, a puddle of water.

Expression changed to surprise and Joy mixed together, she almost rolled around in the water like a pig in mud. It helped take the edge off the heat, for a moment. It didn't take long to find the source of the water, a river next to her. How did she miss that before?. Bag, weapon and slight amounts of clothing were laid on the riverside as she happily jumped into the river for a swim, floating while laid on her back atop the surface of the water, letting out a long sigh. Maybe being stuck on the island wasn't so bad, after all she had a rare chance to kick back and relax, and get some sun in the hard to reach spots. Almost falling asleep she was startled by a noise, splashing around in haste on top the waters surface. She scrambled back onto dry land, grabbing a towel from her almost hiking type backpack, using it to dry off her head. Dressed in a simple bathing suit, nothing suggestible, she stopped and watched as people walked by. Seemingly unaware of her watching them.

Marines, why did they seem to turn up everywhere she went. Like biting insects, always around when she didn't want them to be. Still, she had no reason to worry, Marines never bothered her. No reason to. She had no bounty, hadn't caused any trouble locally, she was in the clear so to speak. So she grabbed her belongings and walked after them. Stopping when she noticed a Marine base before her, and the trouble brewing at the gates. She knew nothing about the man before the Marines, but curiosity was always a weakness of hers. Just couldn't help herself. Casually she walked up to the group, while the man was being, well, Manhandled, smiling sweetly.

"Excuse me, but is there someone who can get me a boat out of here?. I'm Kind of lost". She looked at the man who was talking to the Marines and smiled, nodding at him. "Hiya"

This was an interesting turn, not one but two random happy-goers just happened to walk by, this could serve to be a great distraction, yet there was a problem. He could get out easily himself, his men on the other hand.....only a few would release themselves in time. They would get shot at or beaten...and he would do anything in his power to avoid such brutality towards his people. He decided to take it this way, his sword had been confiscated by the Lieutenant, but the sword was quite heavy, he would have trouble carrying it. Now due to the fact of the Lieutenant being so close to him, Tensai decided to take action like this. His place was light on him, so he coul grab it easily while the marine would struggle with the weight. He could use his Chimera technique to just open the cage up in seconds. The other marines would be bewildered by this sudden turn of events.

Now Tensai usually wasn't one for hostages, but if he took this Lieutenant hostage, then he could order a release on his men. Then they would run until they got a ship, he would drop the Lieutenant in the water before they sailed and would be long gone by the time the Marines had ships ready for a chase.

Now to Tensai displeasure, the Lieutentant passed his sword off to another officer, and his plan was ruined. Ye sTensai didn't say a single word this entire time, yet his mind was buzzing and running like gears. He was thinking and thinking, planning, but his outside appearance showed nothing more but a calm young man who had his eyes closed, and his arms crossed.

This would prove to be a long day.......

Morcant turned to the girl on his side, completely ignoring the Marine Lieutenant that had asked him to go out and who was still holding his arm. "Shut up brat. I don't have a ship myself and I doubt this people," he pointed at the marines, "have a spare one for a little girl like you."
He squinted.
Mor had just noticed that the girl was wearing nothing else than a bathing suit. It wasn't a bad looking one, but...

"Are you part of a sales campaign or are you taking part on a beauty competition? Either way, you're bathing suit doesn't look bad, but you have better chances with a cute bikini."

'Maybe one with frills, no not frills for this girl, something sexy with an asymmetric cut would look good on her,' he thought.
But his fashionable mind was rudely interrupted by the Lieutenant again.
"Both of you! You need to go out of this base, and right now! Or I'll have to arrest you."
His day hadn't been so good this far and the two civilians who just walked into the base as if it were a restaurant, didn't make it better. But he should only just find out how bad this day really was for him.

Morcant had turned around to him again and was now, well.. not exactly angry but very very arrogant.
"How dare a low and unfashionable human like you to touch someone like me! I told you marines over and over again. You're uniform lacks! It lacks style! But did you do anything to change that? No! And now..."
He reached behind his back to his big scissors which he used as a weapon, but didn't found them. In the heath of the day he had put them down somewhere and forgot them. It didn't really bother him.
"And now... Take your filthy hand of me!"
He punched the Lieutenant hard into the face.
