Fiore always takes others into account. He’s very considerate and goes out of his way to make people’s days. He’s highly empathetic and can usually read the emotions in a room. Surprisingly to some, he’s pretty thick skinned. He doesn’t let too much bother him, more worried about how his words and actions impact others than how they impact himself.
Firm Hand
When push comes to shove, Fiore knows how to take charge of a situation without yelling or violence. He remains calm under pressure, swiftly taking steps to resolve the situation. He’s gentle but firm when it comes to getting unruly people to listen. Stress has a way of making people act out of turn, which Fiore never takes personally.
Effeminate Aficionado
Fiore adores traditionally feminine things like make-up, dresses, skirts, the arts, going on dates, and reading romance. He’s very in touch with what he likes and is not afraid to flaunt it proudly to the word. Sometimes, this gets him mistaken for a girl, which is always an awkward moment, but Fiore would never give up the things that he loves because of that.
Conflict Avoidant
While Fiore is not ashamed of who he is or what he likes, Fiore recognizes that the world is not kind. He’ll do what he can to minimize the discomfort or prying gazes of others to avoid unnecessary conflict. He binds his wings and hides them even though it hurts to avoid people calling him a freak like they did when he was in school. He might go along with someone thinking he is a girl if he thinks that he can make a quick exit.
Endless Patience
No matter what happens to him, Fiore is patient, perhaps to a fault. He puts up with people being cruel, obnoxious, and downright vile to him for what appears to be no reason. In truth, Fiore’s empathy leads him to believe that everyone has a reason for acting the way that they do, even if that doesn’t excuse their behavior. At his core, if he can come to understand them, Fiore believes that some sort of peace can be achieved whether that is just allowing them to vent their frustrations on him or being a shoulder to cry on.
Appearance
Fiore has a very pale complexion and light freckles over his entire body. His hair is a very pale pink with red streaks and looks almost white in the light. His eyes are a reddish pink as well. Fiore has a very slender, graceful body, which can make him look pretty effeminate. He has two little wings sprouting out of his back that he usually keeps bound and hidden under his clothes. The wings are white with pink tips. Apparently, he looks like the spitting image of his mother.
Fiore’s favorite color is pink, so he tends to incorporate a lot of pink into his wardrobe. When he’s on duty as a Marine, he wears his nurse uniform, leaving his officer’s coat off as it is impractical to wear in the medical bay. He’ll wear it when outside of the medical bay though. Off duty, Fiore really likes wearing clothes that are more typical for women including skirts and dresses, but also form fitting shorts and almost racy tops.

Fiore’s standard issue flintlock rifle was modified into what amounts to a high power dart gun, capable of administering medicine at range to both ally and enemy. When it comes to dealing with opponents, Fiore attempts to subdue them with sedatives rather than actually harm them.

Having practiced medicine extensively and dealt with all sorts of wiggly veins, Fiore has developed a keen dexterity with his hands. He’s able to perform extremely skillful and difficult tasks. He’s much more capable with his hands than other people and can be trusted with a needle or scalpel near someone’s vital areas.

He works tirelessly for the sake of others, able to push himself beyond the limits of ordinary people to achieve this. He’s still only a person, so he can’t literally go forever, but he’ll be damned if he doesn’t try.

The only combat ability that Fiore really excelled at was marksmanship. His skill at hitting things from a ridiculous distance was the envy of his peers in the academy. Unfortunately for his instructors, he vowed to never actually fire a gun at another person. This accuracy still serves him well with his modified dart rifle, allowing him to administer medicine at incredible distances.

Instead of fighting his opponents directly, Fiore would much rather subdue and sedate them. Fiore has sworn to do no harm to those in his care even if they are his enemy. So, he’d much rather put them to sleep and capture them. The sedatives make opponents slow and drowsy and will eventually put them to sleep unless they do something to ward off the medicine.

By injecting adrenaline into himself or his patients, Fiore can give others a strength boost for a limited time. This bolsters their ability to perform feats of strength like lifting great weights and other such feats. It's also able to jolt someone out of a weakened state. Fiore uses this judiciously as administering it carelessly can harm as much as help.

Pure unadulterated caffeine provides a significant speed boost to anyone who is injected with it. It leads to a crash eventually, but while the caffeine is effective, it bolsters speed and makes the person very difficult to hit or catch while moving around. Too much caffeine can cause heart problems, so Fiore is very careful about administering it.

By numbing and dulling pain, analgesics allow those who are fighting and injured to continue moving. Fiore doesn’t really like administering this except in exceptional circumstances because moving around while injured can and probably will cause further injury. Still, it does allow people to ignore pain and keep going where others might fall.

}Born to the noble Di Mare family as an illegitimate child, Fiore knew the deep love of his father and the hatred of his father’s wife. His father had married Guiliana out of political obligation and had sired twins, a boy and a girl. With an heir secure, Fiore’s father left the day to day management of the house to Guiliana while he handled political matters. Whenever he could, though, his father would dote on Fiore, showering the young boy with gifts.
Guiliana hated Fiore and made it her mission to make his life utterly and completely miserable. She taught her children to bully and torment him. Fiore didn’t understand why he was the target of such senseless cruelty. In truth, Guiliana was simply taking out her anger at her husband’s infidelity on Fiore. Fiore’s mother had died in childbirth, leaving him alone apart from his father in this world.
It wasn’t an unhappy childhood. Despite the bullying, Fiore spent a lot of time with his father, going on trips with him and seeing the world. Eventually, he was sent to a boarding school far away after his father learned of his bullying. His father told him to bind his wings so that he could get along better with his schoolmates. Fiore did so, making lots of friends. An incident in school revealed his wings to a select few. After which, he was labeled a freak and bullied once more. Fiore attempted to put up with it for the sake of the friends that he had made, however.
Frequent visits to the school nurse made Fiore truly appreciate nurses. He volunteered to help out in his spare time and found a lot of joy in helping others. As his sixteenth birthday approached, Fiore learned through some taunting from his half-siblings that Guiliana was planning on enlisting him into the Marines as a chore boy to spare Fiore’s half brother from participating in mandatory military service. Fiore went to his father and asked for him to send him to an officer’s school where he could study nursing. This would fulfill the family responsibility to send a son to the Marines and allow Fiore to follow his passions. His father reluctantly agreed, and Fiore shipped out on the next boat to a Marine Academy.
With lessons learned from boarding school, Fiore was a lot more careful about hiding his wings in the Marine Academy. While the medical staff knew and kept the information confidential, his classmates were none the wiser. Fiore was actually able to make quite a few friends in the academy. He excelled in his studies when it came to nursing and the medical field, but struggled in anything relating to actual combat exercises and leadership. While he was good on paper at tactics and strategy, Fiore lacked the commanding presence to stir troops. This all drastically changed as soon as he was put into a medical situation where he could take command as needed for the wellbeing of the patient. This strange duality left his instructors somewhat frustrated, but the medical bay needed commanders as much as the battlefield.
