Cherub felt out of place in most of the places he visited. Amongst the giants he knew he was on the smaller weaker side. To most humans, he looked like some weird winged beast when he was fighting. Still, with his style of dress he appreciated some of the finer things even if it was a sort of appropriation. He wore the dress of a fighter, of militant but he was nothing more than an upstart. That's why he was here on this island, there seemed to be a gross display of wealth. Not much power was being abused, or that he could see. If there was, he was here to stoke some flames.
Today though, seemed much too hot for a fire, or for him to start one at the very least. There was enough tension from the summer sun, it melted him inside his jacket. Even his wings were unfurled though most people were too dehydrated to notice. Keeping them stiff and rigid they appeared more like some tacky accessory. "It's way too hot for this...." He grumbled, slumped over. He had only been on the island for four days but his money was already getting low. Everything was so expensive.
Browsing through his wallet a bit of disappointment appeared on his face. If he wanted dinner tonight he'd have to avoid spending too much on lunch. By tomorrow he'd either need to start fishing or find a way to make more money. For now, he would have to cool down to clear his mind. A bar, one with all the bells and whistles would certainly have what he needed. What was hard, was finding one with a door large enough to fit him.
"Drink good sir?" A small jolly man in a striped shirt would say. "Only the finest lemonade, what do ya say?" Well it was no rum, but it was more than enough to hit the spot. "Give me the largest one you got!"
It took half of his coin and meant a smaller dinner but it was worth it. With a drink that was a bucket even for him he couldn't even ponder where he kept such a 0large cup. Each sip was like heaven. The Vendor would tip his straw hat, bidding his farewell. "Pleasure doing business with you good sir!"
With that out of the way, and a clearer mind, it was time to make some cash.
