Personality
{Personality}One's the first impression of Absidi is that she is rather quiet. While she responds if spoken to and can definitely be the person to strike up a conversation should it relate to work, she is one to mostly keep to herself. If one were to ask her why, she will simply state that she is not an interesting individual or that she is shy and leave it at that. While these answers are close to the truth, they do not truly represent the type of person that she is.
As she was raised not to draw attention to herself, Absidi simply prefers to remain an unassuming individual. She much rather be underestimated rather than overestimated, seeing as it gives her the element of surprise. Of course, if attention is brought to herself, Absidi knows how to take it in stride, accepting it and moving on. Making mountains out of molehills is unnecessary and irritating, especially when an event already happened. It is far easier to just let things be and roll with what one is given.
For the most part, Absidi is the type to listen, wanting to learn all that she can about other people and the world around her. Keen and observant, she is always aware of her surroundings and all the advantages and disadvantages that it may bring. In addition to this, she pays close attention to people that she interacts with, carefully paying attention in order to try and match their energy should she need to speak with them. One may even say she is a people's pleaser's seeing as she does not seem to try and make herself many enemies, aside from the ones she is obligated from having.
Even if she keeps to herself most of the time, she is not just a pushover. Absidi has individuals that she respects and looks down upon. In most cases, she simply finds it unnecessary to act upon personal grudges, finding it a waste of time. It is easier to ignore those that dislike her and focus at the greater task at hand. If they were to get in her way, however, she is not one to hesitate to take them down, putting one in their place should they ignore the signs that she has no interest in trivial grievances.
Absidi has her own sense of justice that prevails above all else, including the law itself. While she may act according to regulates, it is mostly because it aligns or does not conflict with her own moral code. It is easier to stay unassuming by playing as a servant, although she is more than willing to break the character that she has created in order to uphold her own beliefs, including her desire to protect lives even if it clashes with her orders or even defy them should they directly contradict her justice.
Despite all impressions she may give, Absidi does feel emotions and rather strongly in fact. She simply knows how to conceal them and keep them to herself. She is both sympathetic and empathetic, feeling the pain of others and even considers herself to be considerate as she never goes beyond what may be excessive, and occasionally will even hold back should the situation demand it. While she may strike quick, it is with a gentle hand.

Appearance
{Appearance}
If one word was used to describe Absidi, it would be unique. Her heritage makes her stand out like a sore thumb, even amongst other hybrids. Her brown skin, lack of gills and normal hands distinguish her from her fishmen brethren while the thick scales that scatter across her body and the fin-like ears show that she does not seem fully human either. At least, this is what she hopes other people regard her.
For the most part, Absidi takes great care into keeping her appearance tidy, keeping her long dark brown hair brushed and straight whenever she is awake. Even when she is not on duty, she ties up her hair up in a high ponytail so that the long locks do not brush against her eyes. Her clothes are always tidied and straight, without even a single wrinkle to them.
Outside of her marine uniform, Absidi prefers to wear looser fitting clothes that allow her more range of movements. Generally, she opts for skirts and shorts over pants and wears outfits that covers her torso whilst keeping her arms and shoulders free. She does always wear clothes that obscure her torso or at least her chest, never being scene without such garments. In addition to this, Absidi’s preferred footwear tends to be sandals or other forms of open-toed shoes, otherwise going barefoot if absolutely necessary.
Her darkest secret lies upon her back. Two black nub lies near her shoulder blades. One could even say that feathers lie clinging to these protrusions, occasionally although Absidi does her best to keep them plucked. These are the remnants of her wings, crudely cut off in order to hide her lunarian heritage. She does her best to hide them, never showing anyone her back out of fear of persecution. Yet even though she managed to clip one of these greatest indicators, she is always capable of bringing out the true mark of her lunarian heritage: the flame that burns behind her back. While it remains extinguished to protect her identity, it still remains within her, begging to be one day be freed.

Traits
{Traits}Lunar Flame: Like her full blooded ancestors, Absidi bears the flames of the Lunarians. This ability allows her to utilize the flames of her forebearers, generating and manipulating it at will. Absidi is able to extinguish it and reignite it as she pleases, although she typically keeps it out to better hide her lunarian heritage.
Inhuman Speed: One of her defining features as one of the Devil’s Children was her devastating speed, capable of creating or bridging gaps between individuals in only a few bounds. Whether it was in water or on land, Absidi was also able to launch attacks that almost moved too fast for the human eye to see, all with the intent to end fights before they even began.
Inhuman Stamina: To test whether she was even worth to be trained, Absidi was forced into training from hell which broke her body down and allowed her to come back even stronger when she recovered. As such, she is a lot hardier and resilient to both environments around her and physical attacks than most people. She is capable of taking quite a bit of damage before staying down. Although, if one were to douse her Lunar Flame with water, she would lose such stamina and be vulnerable to attacks.
Frailty of Flame: One of the greatest danger for those that bear the flame is to have it doused out by water. Doing so weakens the body, making Absidi far more vulnerable to harm than she typically is. Even if she manages to douse the flame before it is extinguished, she still becomes vulnerable until she is capable of fully drying herself up.

- Double Trouble: Although seeming to be frail and too light to cause any deep damage, the strength of the Macuahuitl lies in its precision.
- Fire Resistant: Absidi's weapon was uniquely designed with her lunarian heritage in mind, meant to use in tandem with her flame. As such, the Macuahuitl's wood is taken from a tree that does not burn at typical fire temperature and the obsidian glass is reinforced with additional metals to make it so it does not melt as easily.
Techniques
{Techniques}
Name:– First Form: Slither and Weave
Fighting Style:– Dance of the Serpent
Rank:– 2
Description:– In order to become a snake, one must learn how to move like one. The first stance of this fighting style, has Absidi mimic the slithering of a snake, moving with an opponent rather than against them to dodge any attacks that may send towards them. This allows her to predict and react accordingly towards any attacks. It is more effective against close ranged fighters over ranged, seeing as she is able to read their body movements.
Name:– Droplet Bullet
Fighting Style:– Fishman-Karate
Rank:– 1
Description:– With Fishman-Karate, even a couple drops of water can prove to be deadly. With a combination of force and precision, Absidi is able to throw water droplets around as if they were bullets. This allows her to mimic the use of a standard firearm with just water and her own body, although the water used generally scatters after usage and leaves no trace behind, making it ideal for quick and stealthy attacks. Of course, this technique requires the physical presence of water to use. Depriving her of the source makes it impossible to use this technique.
Name:– Water Off the Ducks' Back
Fighting Style:– Fish-Man Karate
Rank:– 1
Description:– To use Fish-Man Karate is to make use of the water in your vicinity, and as such Absidi is able to draw the moisture from the surface of her own skin to help create her own source of water if there is none around. With a series of motions, Absidi is able to move and concentrate the water on her skin to a single location on her body, such as the palm of her hand so that she could use it for other techniques. This does not completely dry her, although it does make her slightly less wet than she was before.

Fighting Styles
{Fighting Style}Name:– Fish-Man Karate
Focus:– Martial Arts, Water Attacks
Class:– E
Description:– Since she was young, Absidi had always been taught to rely on both her body and the water around her to fight. A practitioner of Fish-Man karate is able to turn water, a source that is abundant, into a deadly weapon that can even harm organic beings that are typically resistant to such attacks. For the most part, the specific style that Absidi knows focuses on ranged attacks, using water vapor and shock waves to keep the opponent at bay or to take them down from a distance.
Name:– Dance of the Serpent
Focus:–Macuahuitl, Dance, Flames
Class:– E
Description:– When Absidi was forced to engage in close-ranged combat, This fighting style was meant to utilize swift and quick movements to wear the opponent down enough for her to once again create a gap in between them. It involves the use of a weapon known as a Macuahuitl, utilizing it to gouge deep wounds in the enemy’s body. The fighting style gets its name from the fact that the user's actions are fluid, making it seem as if they are dancing, as they mimic the sudden strikes and movements of a snake. Absidi later made this fighting style her own incorporating her Lunarian flame into the mix.

Background
{Background}She was a child that was never meant to be. The mother, who gave birth to her, was only a story mentioned in passing by the boss. A mythical lady whom she could never dream of meeting. In fact, the last time anyone ever saw her was the day that they left Xochil was left on her family’s boat.
The wings upon her back and the flames that adorned her body were more than enough proof of her heritage. Even the scales that lined her body could not hide the fact that she was part Lunarian, a race thought to have become near extinct due to their mythical status. Yet it was also these same features that proved that she was her father's child.
Tupo, a member of the Acquapazza Family, never thought that his mistakes would catch up to him. He was a notorious womanizer, sleeping with many different ladies regardless of species when his crew docked at an island. The family heavily discouraged such practice, seeing as they wished to control their members, yet Tupo never seemed to reap any consequences. That is until a child appeared on their boat out of nowhere. Despite inheriting more physical features from her mother, she had her father’s face and scales. It was undeniable proof of who she was to him.
The Boss knew that and took advantage of him. He was willing to overlook Tupo’s ways should they bear no consequences, but this was undeniable. Instead, of abandoning her in the town, he ordered Tupo to raise the child himself. Besides, he had heard of the rumored Lunarians and their mythical strength. He was curious to see what he could make out of her. It was the Boss that bestowed her the name Xochil, seeing as her father wanted nothing to do with her.
Growing up, Xochil had a strained relationship with her father. From a young age, it was clear that he was only forced to raise her out of orders. As such, she never called him “father” or any of the synonyms but rather just his name as if they were strangers. He made it clear that their relationship was professional and that was it. Tupo raised her according to Boss’ specifications, trying to test the limits of her unique heritage.
As such, she was placed through training from hell, both to make sure she was fit for the job and to see the extent of a lunarian’s power. To the boss’ pleasure, Xochil was able to continue forth even after being pushed back down. She lived up to her heritage. Eventually, she was fit to be trained along with the boss’s adopted child, Pulizie. There, both Xochil and Pulizie were raised to become the enforcer and cleaner of the family respectively.
For Xochil who had no strong connections growing up, even with her own father, Pulizie was a close friend. She was the only other person that could fully empathize with her, seeing as they were the same age and going through similar training. For the first time in her life, she found someone that she could open up to and trust with the emotions she kept bottled in for nearly her entire life. It was Pulizie that gave her the strength to go forward, to feel as if maybe there was something good and rewarding with being the enforcer for the Acquapazza family. Compared to her, she seemed so dedicated to her role and embraced it, as opposed to the frustration Xochil felt with her life.
The lessons only became harder as she grew up. As they were able to pass their general training with flying colors, they soon began to pivot toward fighting. Both children were schooled in different fighting styles, with Xochil herself learning Fish-Man Karate and trained in the ways of the macuahuitl by her father. When Xochil and Pulizie turned 16 and 13, they were finally deemed ready to begin their position as junior enforcers and cleaners, sent out on missions to do the dirty work that the family did not want to participate in. In most cases, it involved murder. While the thought of taking a person's life was once revolting, Xochil eventually had to grow numb to the idea seeing as she was afraid of what it meant if she didn't. For many years, she couldn't question her lifestyle, just rinsed and repeat. Yet ignoring her problems didn't make them go away. Eventually, she had to reach their tipping point.
The family had ordered both Pulizie and Xochil to deal with witnesses at a nearby island. For the most part, she thought nothing of it, until they approached the last two names on the list. They were both children, far too young to even understand what they even saw. Pulizie was the one that posed the prospect of splitting the killing, each of them killing one child to lessen the impact it had on their psyche. While she managed to carry out her murder, Xochil simply couldn't. It was the straw that broke the camel's back, the one that really opened her eyes to how she hated this life and couldn't take it anymore.
Fortunately, Pulizie accepted the fact she wanted to run away and even offered to help her, but Xochil knew that running away was a cardinal sin of the family. They accepted no traitors. Joining or being born into the family meant you were in it for life. The only way to escape it was to fake her death, but she was smarter than that. The Acquapazzas were smart. It would only be a matter of time before they discovered the truth, especially when she looked so unique. And so, Xochil did the unthinkable. In hopes that it would convince them that she was dead and to protect her own identity as a Lunarian, she cut off her own wings, giving them to Pulizie to bring back, a sign that she was done with the family.
When her wounds finally healed, Xochil decided to enlist in the Marines. It was a decision made at an emotional high point and rashly, but maybe this was the best way she could escape from her past: by joining the enemy to be as distant as possible from the family. She was fully aware of the danger that it presented her, knowing her people's bloody history with the world government and the discrimination that she would face, but when it compared to the iron hold that the family had around her neck and their own threats, Xochil much rather risk her life on her own terms rather than having it held against her.
Beyond her wings, Xochil did the best she could to change her appearance: cutting her hair, returning to the basics of her original fighting style and removing the flames from the ability and ultimately taking up the new identity of Absidi Calypso to truly separate her old self with her new person. She had spent many years looking over her shoulder, trying to see if they would come back, but they didn't make any moves. At least not yet.
As the years passed, Absidi rose up the rankings of the marines. Her time working for the World Government was anything but easy. There were many hardships, seeing as she was discriminated upon her Fish-Man heritage, scorned and treated nothing but a slave at times, but compared to the act of taking a life, she would gladly be stuck doing menial tasks. In fact, she much rather draw attention for that part of her heritage, knowing what the World Government thought of Lunarians. Even though she had no individuals she could call her friends, Absidi was satisfied with the life that she made.
Eventually, Absidi made progress up the ranks of the marine. While taking years to get promoted, her strong work ethic and consistent work did at the very least give her an impression as someone that would get things done. At the very least, she was capable of responsibility even if she was not trusted or well respected. What kept her going despite all the hardships, was the future. She was just glad to have escaped the family and for the first time, she felt like she could be herself rather than just a tool of her family's (unbeknownst to her that she has become the servant of someone far more sinister). Of course, the past still haunted her as the did the looming threat of the future. Both will continue to follow her, eventually coming back to catch her and it was something she had to prepare for. Until then though, Absidi decided to focus on this new opportunity, embracing who she is today rather than focusing on yesterday.
