Kirkleche Island, a nice place considered to have an old-styled city that has maintained it's "out there" architecture, with some referring to it as a "dark-themed posh", with most building blocks of the cities leaning towards darker hues. The city often stayed lit with well-placed oil lamps planted across key points, lighting the way to ensure that anyone who was out at night wouldn't be blind or lost. It was... very different to where Gale grew up, but there was a process to the city, one that he came to understand.
His transition to Kirkleche was met with some costs; establishing a reliable travel route for smuggling, keeping a steady line of enforcers and smugglers for distribution and protection, but in the end, he ran a low-level gun smuggling operation to sell guns to the criminal element of Kirkleche. The rise in crime, notably in the cases of shootouts and murders done by gunshot? That could arguably be traced back to him if anyone did their homework, but he deliberately chose Kirkleche for it's lack of marine presence and government security. If he ever felt like it got too much, he'd move right back to Toroa.
The whole reason why he even started doing this is to explore other avenues of making money, being a loan shark worked, but emotions were often high in such an occupation and with the rising underworld of that place, he was sure someone would come after him eventually, guns blazing that would lead to his death. He wanted to explore other profits, and if there's anything that islands like Kirkleche with a weak crime ring needs; it needs more guns, and for him to profit.
He started to get a reputation as the "boss", all though in smuggling operations, discretion was important. Such a reputation had it's benefits however, a sense of dread was given to anyone feeling like a do-gooder and selling him out. It also took up his evening, renting out some tavern by the name of "Towering Rose", with a tall but thin-sized rose logo at the front to represent the name. The table was set with all kinds of luxuries, foods such as fruits, meat, seafood, eggs, grains, and even a side of cake. Drinks consisted of Beer, Wine, Rum, Tea, or just standard water. With him dipping his toes with criminals, he wants to be seen as tough but fair, ruthless but reasonable. The amount of food and drinks might've been too much for two people, but he wanted to raise the point; despite the dent of everything in his finances, he believed it well worth the cost.
He waited for her to arrive, a security guard outside with a gun holstered on his belt would be keeping watch, allowing no one else in but the nominated guest. As soon as they would arrive, they would see Gale standing, slightly leaning into one of the wooden chairs around the sizeable feast. Swept back brown hair, brown eyes, a dark red vest with golden lines running across in spirals across the vest, a black-buttoned undershirt, and to complete the look, smart black pants and dark brown boots. Professional. As soon as she would walk in, he would walk towards her, thousand-beli smile and ready to shake her hand. "Sea Devil." is what he would say.
