Identification:
- Reported to the MarinesW8-MD5 was a World Government superweapon that escaped during a field test of its capabilities. The high ranking Marine scientist that created him sent out a search, but he was presumed lost at the bottom of the sea. Scavengers reported to local Marine authorities about a giant death robot lingering in Funkyard along with an aggressive Fishman. Shortly afterward, said robot and Fishman appeared in Sundance, a heavily Marine controlled island. The robot soared above town briefly before vanishing again. A famous local hunter reported that the robot attacked him to the Marines, but when searches were conducted, no trace of the robot or his companions could be found. On Flat Farm island, Cipher Pol agent Alistair Crow made a report to the Marine authorities that the robot had been sighted, indicating it's intelligence and anti-World Government agenda after a long conversation with it.
Level of Threat:
- LocationWest Blue
- Attacks on CiviliansNumerous reports indicate that W8-MD5 is highly dangerous. It has attacked civilians on several different islands, firing on them with an alleged arm cannon and causing minor casualties. Scavengers in the Funkyard were attacked first, suffering minimal casualties, followed by the group of hunters on Sundance with significantly more serious casualties.
- Threats on WG ForcesWhile Cipher Pol agent Alistair Crow was not injured in his encounter with W8-MD5, the robot did threaten to harm the Cipher Pol agent if he pursued.
- Escapee/DesertingW8-MD5 is a World Government superweapon that went rogue, escaping from a field exercise intended to test its abilities.
- Inside InformationAs part of the program that created W8-MD5, all units were programmed with significant knowledge about Marine and World Government protocols, policies, and some classified operations and projects. W8-MD5 itself is also an information leak that the high ranking Marine scientist got dragged through the mud for allowing to happen.
- Identifying as a PiratePer Alistair Crow's report, W8-MD5 identifies itself as a pirate and spouts an anti-World Government goal.
Perceived Power:
- Physical CapabilitiesDue to it being a World Government project, W8-MD5's physical specifications are well documented. Its chassis is made of Wapometal, which allows it withstand most damage. Additionally, the use of Wapometal allows it an additional form that it can switch into akin to a land warship. It possesses a standard issue cannon in its arm, which it can used to devastating effect. W8-MD5 was also designed with the ability to fly in mind, which it might have demonstrated on Sundance. A fully powered undamaged W8-MD5 is a highly mobile and dangerous force to be reckoned with for any Marines in the West Blue.
- Especially IntelligentAs a robot, W8-MD5 was designed to be able to perform innumerable calculations in a matter of milliseconds. Alistair's report has also indicated that W8-MD5 has become self aware and is capable of adopting ideas of philosophy while putting logic at the forefront.
