Nesu Nesu no Mi
English Name:–Nest-Nest Fruit
Classification:– Paramecia
Owned By:–Clow Calypso
Appearance:– The Nesu Nesu no Mi looks like an oddly shaped red pair, resembling a nesting doll one might find in a child's toy box. Like every Devil Fruit, it has an unusual pattern across its skin; swirls. A green stem emerges from the evil plant and even it has a swirl!
Ability:– The user of the Nesu Nesu no Mi becomes a Nesting Human, capable of generating smaller versions of themself and inanimate objects, within the original thing. The person and or item can then be split open to evacuate the smaller version.
Once the user has touched something, she can nest it. For example, if she touched a cannonball before it was fired, once it was shot out of that cannon it could split open, releasing another cannonball just slightly smaller. This could continue until there were several different-sized cannonballs, eventually becoming so small that they would be useless.
As far as using the fruit on herself goes, the miniature creations that leave her body are hollow. They cannot think for themselves and are best left to do only simple commands. Despite looking exactly like her, they are unable to act exactly like her. They can speak, but they cannot think. If she gives one of these 'dolls' as she calls them, an order, they will follow that order to a T despite any interferences that may have made that plan invalid.
Weaknesses:–
- Kairoseki ("Sea-Prism Stone") weakens the user greatly and nullifies the power of this devil fruit, rendering it unable to be used.
- Submersion in water is a longtime weakness for those who eat a Devil Fruit. As they cannot swim, they dramatically start to sink and are unable to use their fruit ability when exposed to this element.
- If one of the user's dolls was to be destroyed completely, they would need time to regenerate another.
