Olin’s a wanderer, a traveler, and a seeker of hidden knowledge. While on the surface, he appears to be nothing more than your common thug, brutish mercenary, or violent revolutionary that is simply not the case. He is compassionate, caring, to such a ludicrous degree that he has been known to put his own life on the line to protect others. That said, Olin is learned in the ways of a politician, and skilled in diplomacy. A skill that he developed while a member of the Marines, and during his childhood under his father’s tutelage.
He knows that sometimes compassion is not enough, and a firm hand of cruelty and desperate measures is needed on tough times. Despite this understanding of the cruel reality of the world, Olin remains makes a point to be kind and compassionate whenever he can get the chance, but his nice demeanor should not be mistaken for weakness or anything of that manner. Olin is less prone to mercy than what one would expect, after all people don't really change.
Olin often maintains a stern, serious, and bored expression- but his grim disposition can be broken in hilarious or comedic ways when he loses his temper, becomes excited, or when he is shocked. He tends to have a lot on his mind, and for that reason, he constantly spaces out or allows his thoughts to consume him. When this happens, Olin just stares into space, or starts to mumble to himself about random things that only makes sense to himself.
Eventually, in his own words, he will “think too much, until at last, smoke will start to pour out, and his head will start to ache”. To avoid thinking, and well feeling, Olin is often drowned away his sorrows and thoughts in alcohol. He has a pessimistic attitude about him, always thinking the worse about people, and firmly believing that people don’t change. Though, he does not believe himself to be a pessimist, and instead, says that he is firmly a realist.
An odd fellow when it comes to religion and spirituality, Olin firmly believes in the idea of fate and destiny, and views that in the end, no matter his achievements, no matter his strength, the fates will ultimately decide what happens to him. For that reason, he does tend to be a bit reckless with his own life, holding it with little value compared to others. Even going so far as to push his luck in order to test if fate is own his side or not.
