Lilin Post #6 / Tally Post #6
Faster than the eye could follow, Scarlette was on top of her, one strange-looking fist already in her face. Lilin had only the briefest moment to tilt her face upward to protect her glasses before the impact - which launched the devil out to sea. "Starting strong!" Before she plunged into the ocean, her body lost substance, dissolving into black smoke that seemed to splatter just over the mild waves of the harbor. An instant later, the smoke spun itself into a thin stream that rocketed back toward the pier, dodging through the peculiar fungal growths that were beginning to appear.
The smoke hit the ground at the same time as the massive sheathed blade - the sheath broke through the stone of the street in time with Lilin, still in her tall hybrid form, appearing, one hand grasped around the blade's hilt and the other readjusting her strangely bug-like orange-tinted shades. "That all tha've got?" Leaving the sheath standing upright in the stone, the off-puttingly beautiful woman unsheathed the blade within and laid Odaki's naked steel to rest on her shoulder, seemingly oblivious to the little bit of blood dripping from her nose from the punch. "Come and put tha heart into it, kashashasha!""I’ll assume you’re not going to just let us mosey on by."
Tally breathed in and slowly dropped into a fighting stance, all six arms held outward as she sized up the trio in front of her. The fact that the merfolk among them hadn't already bolted for the water was unusual - octopod in nature or not, the average merfolk and fishman was far more capable in water than out, though this one in particular seemed more nervous than anything.
His hands hitting the pier and sending out a massive amount of some substance made it all click into place. Ability user, and a halfway smart one at that. He's the priority, then. Massive fungal growths extended from the sides of the wooden pier, connecting it to the others nearby - and cutting off easy access to the water. She remained still for a second before raising one foot forward, pressing it back down against the surface of the pier.
There were three objectives: Getting out of this "Scarlette" woman's way, ensuring Ophelia's continued safety, and lastly, dealing with the individuals standing in front of her if this was to be a fight. She exhaled and pushed off the balls of her feet, surging toward the strangers at the other end of the dock...
... And stopped suddenly partway through, redirecting her momentum into a trio of simultaneous downward punches. The wood of the pier splintered around her fists, dropping her into the waters below - and as soon as she was submerged, she flipped herself around and sent a straight punch upward, right under where the three she'd been facing down had been standing.{"Umidaiko!"}
A technique that can only be performed underwater. By striking the water in front of her and allowing the force of the impact to travel outward, Tally causes a circular shockwave that can be useful for both assaulting a target indirectly and blocking incoming assaults.
Mere inches under, the surface of the water surged upward in a semi-sphere before blasting upward, with the intent of breaking through the wooden pier under her opponents' feet.
