"So you'll tell me if you hear anyone asking about them?"
He waited, mismatched eyes peered over the bar towards the bartender on the other side. The man stood frozen in space, glass still in hand. Bartender stared directly at the outline of the barrel of a gun pressed into the trench coat of the man confronting him. "Of course. Of course. Now just put the-" The barrel of the gun shifted as the man across from the bartender put a single finger to his own mouth silencing the man. A crooked smile looked back to the bartender and began to laugh heartily. "Thanks a lot, you'll be a great help."
The barrel of the pistol disappeared from the outline of the trench coat, beneath it an arm shifted holstering it. "Now I'd like a cola please. A big one!" The giddy grin from the man who'd just been holding him at gunpoint was making the bartender extremely nervous. His hands shook as he shakily poured out a drink for the amazingly, paying customer. In return for the drink the man paid him at least twice the price that he'd been quoted.
Well why not, he was doing a favor for him. That was the fifth bar he'd been to today in this Barbada town. Each bartender has weirdly given him the same reaction, fear and confusion. Strange when he was just asking for some help. Grabbing the glass of cola in one hand he paused a light coming on in his eyes. "You can find me with this." The man pulled out a small piece of paper on good stock, it had a name printed on top.SETH ANAT
He forced it on the bartender before turning around to look at the crowd of this bar. The bartender was still too scrambled to respond. Or to make comment on that there was no way he'd be able to find Seth with just this piece of paper. It didn't have any information about where the man was staying or how one might contact him.
The man in question, hummed to himself happily. He'd come to Illusia on a hunch, the only issue was Illusia was way too large for him to search. But if his friend were to be anywhere in Illusia. It'd be here at Barbada Town. Full of travelers, pirates, bounty hunters, and the like, it was one of the wealthier market towns in the West Blue. It was the starting point of one of the legends of the West Blue. That alone could have driven his friend here. And now, he'd heard of a crew, with a leader, one who might have the pull needed. He'd have to find them, but without his own network of informants, he needed to find those who were in the know.
Seth scanned the room, his pair of eyes, yelloe and green looking over the rowdy folk who clamored about the place. All the while he downed the glass of cola chugging it ounce by ounce down his gullet. Finally slamming the glass down on the counter Seth turned. "Hopefully I'll see you again soon." He said with a smile on his face before walking away and out the door.
"Hopefully not ..."
He didn't hear that last comment by the bartender because Seth was already outside and on the street. Where to next, where to next? Another bar was never a bad idea. But maybe he should check out the a news board. There was likely to be bounties listed there. He was certain the crew he was looking for, their captain had one of those. There he would find folk searching for that crew, and more importantly more information.
