Just like players, NPCs associated with our characters can earn and accumulate bounties. However, unlike player characters, we use a slightly different system in order to make things a little easier. Luckily, it’s not that complicated, and works in a very similar way to how regular bounties are handled.
The process is simple! If the NPC belongs to one of your characters, then you should apply for that NPC’s bounties in the same thread as you would the character they belong to. If the NPC belongs to a Crew, then the Crew’s Captain will need to make a separate thread in the Bounty Requests board, titled appropriately (e.g. “Straw Hat Pirates NPC Bounty Requests”). Afterwards, any member of the Crew can post bounty requests on the crew’s behalf at a later date.
Please use the below template for Character-specific NPCs:Associated Character:
NPC Name & Link:
Epithet:
Current Bounty:
Current Class:
Graded Threads:
Estimated Bounty:
Committed Crimes:
For Crew NPCs, please use the following template:Associated Crew:
NPC Name & Link:
Epithet:
Current Bounty:
Current Class:
Graded Threads:
Estimated Bounty:
Committed Crimes:
Make sure to include links to character profiles, crews, threads, and posts as relevant. Evidence of the actions and connections are crucial to securing a bounty. If you’re uncertain as to what any of the fields mentioned in the template mean, click Template Key below for more detailed information on what each field means.{Template Key}
Associated Character/Crew: The name and link to the character (updated profile preferable) or Crew that this NPC belongs to.
NPC Name & Link: The name and link (updated profile preferable) to the NPC which you are applying for.
Epithet: The title name by which the NPC is known, such as how Luffy is known as “Straw Hat” by most. If you don’t provide one, the staff will allocate one that they believe is appropriate.
Current Bounty: The bounty currently on the head of the NPC. If a bounty has yet to be issued, you can leave this field blank.
Current Class: The Class the NPC is currently at. For example, D. This is important for determining the bounty.
Graded Threads: Links to the grading of the threads that are influencing the bounty being applied for.
Estimated Bounty: The total bounty you believe the NPC is deserving of. Please refer to the below steps and tables to help you determine the number.
Committed Crimes: The crimes the NPC has committed that you believe will influence an increase in their bounty. Please make sure to summarize the information, and provide links to the specific posts in which these actions occur.
Step 1 — Crime Categories
Each crime that an NPC commits can have a bearing on the bounty they receive. While it’s never easy to assign a specific amount for each crime, the information provided here should help you decide. In short, an NPC’s crimes are placed into one of three categories — Minor, Moderate, and Major Crimes. Each of these categories will influence the growth of a character’s bounty, based on the NPC’s current Class. Most crimes can fall under a range of categories, depending on their severity. The list below organizes these crimes by their average severity.
- Flying a Jolly Roger (Identifying as a Pirate)
Minor- Identifying as a Revolutionary
Minor- Acts of Cruelty
Minor to Moderate- Attacks on Non-Member Nations
Minor to Moderate- Criminal Association
Minor to Moderate- Desertion
Minor to Moderate- Escapee
Minor to Moderate- Inside Information
Minor to Moderate- Conflict with Wanted Criminals
Minor to Major- Conflict with World Government Forces
Minor to Major- Attacks on Civilians (Civilian Casualties)
Moderate to Major- Poneglyph Research
Moderate to Major- Raids on Member Nations
Moderate to Major- Lasting Damage to Member Nations
Moderate to Major- Takeovers of Member Nations
Major
Step 2 — Class & Bounty
An NPC’s bounty is determined by their current Class. The greater their Class, the greater their perceived power, and thus the bigger the boost they will receive. The table below shows the limits for each Class. Please keep in mind that these numbers do not reflect the maximum that an NPC’s bounty can reach based on their Class, but rather the maximum that their current bounty can be increased by.
NPC Class E D C B A S Bounty Cap
(Millions)10 35 75 130 200 300
Step 3 — Crime Modifier
Once you’ve established the category of your NPC’s crimes, the final step on determining the end result is simple enough. The category of the crimes committed will allow the NPC’s bounty to increase by a percentage of the bounty increase listed above, up to a limit. Please refer to the table below to see the maximum percentage modifier you can gain.
Crime Category Percentage Modifier Minor Up to 20% Moderate Up to 50% Major Up to 100%
Reference Chart: Range of Bounty Increases
For ease of use, you can refer to the table presented here to help you determine the amounts an NPC’s bounty will increase by. Simply compare the NPC’s current class to the overall severity of the crimes they’ve committed to find the maximum increase in bounty.

Example
Let’s say an NPC has been involved in a number of crimes while working under a specific crew. The NPC in question has been identified as a pirate under the command of a notorious pirate crew and has been confirmed to have partaken in an attack on the territories of a non-World Government aligned nation. The attack itself wasn’t particularly big, so all of these crimes together fall under the Minor Crimes category.
The NPC already has a bounty of 8,000,000 Beri on his head, issued earlier in his pirating career, and is now a C Class NPC. These factors combined prompt a possible increase of up to 15,000,000 Beri added to the NPC’s current bounty, up to 20% of the C Class bracket’s maximum. This brings them to a total estimated bounty of 23,000,000 Beri.
The Final Decision
Though this system is here for you to use to help determine an NPC’s bounty, the final decision on whether or not the bounty passes is ultimately up to the staff body. Just like with player bounties, we’ll always aim for relatively clean numbers, but may not always award the maximum possible for a category of crime.
