Personality
Atlas is what you would call a wild child, having fun being a priority and naturally just being bold; not caring about others opinion over it or him. He is very strong willed, confident and notably headstrong, which means people either get along with him and his fun loving ways or can't stand his arrogance. Hell, who else do you know who loves being underestimated? It's all just fuel for the metaphorical fire that burns within him, eager to shut all doubters up.
Despite being brash, Atlas is very trustworthy and won't tell a soul a single thing you say to him, if he even bothers to remember. Though don't think just because he's trustworthy he'll entrust his secrets into you, it'll take some time for that. Especially since he doesn't keep many secrets given most things won't even matter in the long run and what's on his mind has a tendency to slip through his lips. Why harp over stupid thoughts and shit now when you could focus on becoming stronger?
He'd much rather just handle any conflict with a fight, but when it comes to love he's a completely different entity. His standard confidence melting away to the point where he is unable to find the words to approach the object of his affection, and falling victim to deep blushing when on the receiving end of said affection.
The young man is overall someone who is unafraid of being himself and expressing his emotions, be it his typical short tempered anger, his silent sadness, or even his frightful jubilation. He wears his heart on his sleeve and tends to get annoyed by others who repress themselves in order to look cool or mysterious, it's just so lame! If you want to be in his good graces make sure to be yourself, share snacks with him and don't be too sensitive regarding his blunt honesty.
When it comes to his goals, Atlas is concerned with becoming an extremely strong and renowned pirate. He isn't interested in much else besides fighting, becoming strong and his personal freedom. This doesn't mean he wants to be feared, more so admired, but he also simply wants to be powerful because it seems cool. He's fickle like that.
However one thing his peers can all agree on is that he is hard working, determined and clear minded in battle. Sure he can act like an idiot at times when he's just being a goofball, but when he's in a fight he knows the risks. Assessing the strength of opponents with plenty of theories flying around his head about ways to go against the opponent and to trip them up, attempting to give himself and his allies an advantage.
Appearance
With smooth olive skin and an athletic build, Atlas is a fairly fit and stereo-typically attractive male. Sparkling grey irides being one of his many noticeable features with the next being his midnight colored locks. Spiked and messy on any given day and slicked back like freshly spilled oil on a patch of concrete when groomed; much to his own chagrin.
His ears both house several solid steel piercings with three in his left lobe, four in his right lobe, one in his right cartilage and two in his left. Adding his tongue, and nipples to the jewelry holding club his style is very lax with a typically dark color theme. Maroons, black, grays, very 'boring' colors, however his hands are often wrapped in white bandages due to injuries or preemptively protecting his limbs from injuries. A defined muscular tone, and a tall frame with his shirt often unbuttoned and hanging open to show sculpted abdominal fibers.

Fighting Styles
- The Theory of the Owl (フクロウの理論 Fukurō no Riron)
Class:– E
Description:– A martial based fighting style developed and utilized by Atlas Pierce to best use his flexible and athletic build. It's methods are very simple, developed from studying owls and similar to southern dragon kung fu. Inhaling lightens the body for aerial maneuvers, while exhaling drives power into each technique; substituting outright blocking attacks with parries. While doing so his chest will dramatically puff similar to a bird (think quirky anime art). However unlike southern dragon kung fu, the counter attacks are aimed to be far more brutal and precise, the goal being to allow aggressive opponents to tire themselves out. Evasive maneuvers being essential in the defensive aspects of the art.
The Theory Of the Owl attempts to cause both external damage, through decisive jabs and heavy strikes, and internal damage using pressure point and direct muscle attacks. Intended on causing cramping, or dislodging muscles with hooked finger grips, a hand placement utilizing the claw shaped hands of the fighting style. Often referred to as the 'talons', in where the index, middle finger and thumb are held in a hook shape while attacking.
Both graceful and deadly with his moments; tending to overwhelm those without strong defense. Watching this style is like gazing upon an acrobatic dance of death, with a preference of using various aerial flips to add flair; the same reason he chose the name for the high flying art.

Techniques
- Name: Wing Barrage (翼弾幕 Tsubasa danmaku)
Rank:– 2
Description:– This move is often used while dodging, and countering attacks which aim for the Atlas' head. By quickly making his way under the attack into a handstand, he will walk forward while doing a split and spinning simultaneously. In doing it creates a barrage of spinning kicks, capable of disarming opponent if aimed for the wrist or brutally kicking the target. This can be done in aerial and other variations, it's simply a series of fast spinning kicks while in a split. If the user picks up enough speed they can break through solid stone.
[li]Name: Steel Fist (溶融拳 Tekken)[/li] Fighting Style:– The Theory of the Owl (フクロウの理論 Fukurō no Riron)
Rank:– 2
Description:– Perhaps one of the more 'basic' appearing attacks in the fighting style, it does come into play more often than not given the strength it possesses. The user while on the receiving end of a close range strike will quickly react to the blow and use one of their hands to divert the attack, placing their palm on the opponents wrist or ankle (whatever they're attacking with) before quickly stiffening their arm and flowing upward to direct the assault away from their own frame. Stepping forward with their fist reeled back at their hip while quickly shifting on their heel and using the momentum of their step, they will plant their fist into the gut, rib, back, (or other) of the opponent for a heavy strike that can send the target flying back several feet. The strength, precision and target of the technique making it truly devastating when taking a direct hit.
[li]Name: Swooping Strike (急襲 Kyūshū)[/li]Fighting Style:– The Theory of the Owl (フクロウの理論 Fukurō no Riron)
Rank:– 1
Description:– Atlas will first use an upward kick that goes straight up above his and the opponents head to either break an opponents block or disarm them, before bringing the heel of his foot down. Aiming for vital points like the nose, collarbone, or forehead. Following this kick which stuns the opponent, he will already be in a spinning motion to bring his other leg up while his back is to the opponent, over their head and straight down once more in a second axe kick. Often times knocking the opponents face straight to the floor, while knocking them away in a sliding on their face and neck.
[li]Name: Double Claw (無音の拳 Nijū Tsume)[/li]Fighting Style:– The Theory of the Owl (フクロウの理論 Fukurō no Riron)
Rank:– 0
Description:– This technique more so utilizes the claw shaped hands of the fighting style, often referred to as the talons, in where the index, middle finger and thumb are held in a hook shape while attacking. Countering a missed attack using their nails, and pressure from their fingers to claw the opponents eyes in a quick attempt to blind them temporarily. Most people close their eyes and only get a scratch on the eyelid, but it still doesn't feel great.

Armory
- Name: Lamp Dial (灯貝ランプダイアル Ranpu Daiaru)
Rank: 0
Description: Similar to the Flash Dial, capable of storing and releasing light. Unlike the Flash Dial, however, it releases light steadily rather than all at once, hence the name, making it much less useful for combat purposes, but much more useful for domestic purposes.

Background
Atlas Pierce was born to a human merchant and a sky island born woman 18 years ago. His life was undeniably lavish, as his mother had become infatuated with the man from Jaya below her home in Skypiea. The two of them falling for one another and breaking a sort of barrier that existed due to stereotypes their people share, choosing to move to Shandia due to the mans own indigenous Jayan heritage pulling him to reside in such a familiar space... and his wife happily complied.
Conceived in the village floating above the world, Atlas was raised by the loving parents to be the best man he could. They would often play and relax with the child, until he was old enough to take his first steps.
That's where his journey begins.
A ball of intelligent energy, Atlas was constantly learning and adapting to the intriguing world around him. His father seeing this and opting to give the boy an outlet, telling him pirate stories and a teaching him the art of combat. The two of them would recant stories of sea-men and hone their battle senses and skills with basic combat training, his mother loving every minute of it.
As long as Atlas was happy, she was happy and she often participated in his training. But before combat came his studies, and Atlas was to be no slouch if he wanted to continue his extracurricular activities; but getting along with other kids was the real struggle. Some of them were just awful and he retracted into his shell for a year or two, his parents taking notice and explaining to him that others opinions didn't matter.
Bursting out of his shell and beating up any bullies who made fun of him, he had gained a new found confidence in himself and his actions. He declared he would be the strongest pirate the world ever knew and that if anyone got in his way he would decimate them.
At the age of 10, Atlas' father gifted him with an ancestral naginata engraved with the golden kanji for thunderbolt. Their great ancestor had exchanged it with a traveler as a symbol of friendship and power, and this quickly became the object of his young affection. Beginning training with the weapon, informally of course as Atlas wanted to discover his own ties to the weapon and the generations it had been used.
Continuing school and his training was difficult to say the least, but it taught him to multi-task and stay fit but it was also setting the foundation for his future. He was now a confident young man with the strength and focus to go far in this cruel world and those lessons stuck with him.
Atlas at the age of 15 would take a special interest in southern dragon kung fu and wished to travel the lands below to pursue his dreams. Of course his mother thought he was too young but his father saw it as a chance to undergo his vision quest given he was on the brink of adulthood. Convincing his son to just stay and finish schooling until he was 18 so that he would be completely ready.
Naturally he would comply impatiently and focus on his studies while beginning to develop the theory of the owl, his favorite bird being the title inspiration. Naturally limber and acrobatic he would take what he read about the art and turn it into his own form of combat, self taught and determined to make it self mastered.
Eventually the young man would graduate and become a free man to do what he pleased and so packing his things he would hug his parents goodbye. Telling them that when they next saw him he would be a completely different man, but one they would be proud of no doubt. Waving goodbye and setting his sights on getting stronger and what better way than to become a pirate!
