“Where to?! Where do you think?! AFTER THEM!” Anyone who remained amongst their enemies was fleeing or on the ground amidst the severely damaged club behind them. Octavia was out for blood though.
A note on Octopi: Don’t try to escape one through tight quarters.
Salt believed that he had genuinely escaped. It was unfortunate, the loss of so many including the Hammerhead. Then again. They were all expendable. It was the way of things in an organization like theirs. The pyramid was a vast network and even the agent with Batter on his shoulders was little more than a peon. Not for long though! He had a plan to take over this faction. One he’d been working on his entire life. And nothing would stop him! He couldn’t get caught up fighting these fools.
“Where are you going?!” A voice came from behind. Batter turned to look over his shoulder as he ran down a labyrinthian maze of alleyways as they came closer to the docks. His confident self-reflection was shattered at the sight of a massive beast, all tentacles and terror as it tore its way toward him.
”SALT! Movemovemovemove!” Batter began jabbing Salt in the back of the head sharply as she shouted. In those tight quarters, it was easy for Octavia to move quickly despite her size. She could squeeze herself into pretty small spaces, and her eight limbs gave her no end of grips and purchases with which to pull herself closer and closer to her target.
”DESIST CHILD!” Salt shouted back, picking up his pace in a display of agility and parkour equally impressive as the Merwomans own maneuvers. He lunged over crates, jumped off window sills, and darted back and forth from alley to alley in an attempt to lose the monster closing in.
”DON’T RUN! YOU STARTED THIS!” Octavia shouted ahead of her, laughing as she skidded into a building as Salt made a sharp turn down a poorly used road, nearly taking the whole wall down with her. “I’M COMING FOR YOOOOUUUU....” She taunted. He couldn’t know her strategy, to push him, scare him, force him into a position where he believed going straight for back up was the only option. She couldn’t lose him, and he wasn’t making that easy either. If Dagon and Mizuki caught onto her plan and joined in, so be it, for the moment she couldn’t afford to take her eyes off of Salt and Batter as they tried to escape.
