So my character hasn’t been approved yet, still waiting on word on that but I had some ideas for early stage plots for Revolutionary characters like myself, and even Marines who could fill in some interesting roles as well!
So the basic idea is this.....a Marine Captain has been dealing with the sudden arrival of a so called ‘Revolutionary’ group that behaves like anything but. They call themselves revolutionaries, but they act like pirates. Abusing the smaller islands, looting, pillaging, and promoting anarchy wherever they appear.
And yet they always seem to slip away from the Captain, but not before he can capture a few, usually in a visually spectacular fashion. What is troubling though, is that the captives always manage to escape or be busted out before they can be taken by HQ....and so the Captain continues his vigil.
The truth is that these revolutionaries are anything but. They are essentially some of the worst of the Captains marines, barely more than thugs with a uniform who volunteered to pose as Revolutionaries as part of the Captains two-fold plan. The first part is slandering Revolutionaries in the eyes of the citizenry, making them appear as little more than pirates and helping the Marines overall image without actually taking any significant risks. The second part is personal glory. His constant victories over the so called revolutionaries has earned him some small renown in his blue.
This could lead to bigger things as even the appearance of revolutionary activity in one of the four blues is bad for business. It could call the attention of Cipher Pol, thus engaging the protagonists of this plot with an unbeatable foe to push them on, cause problems, be generally antagonistic, etc....
Obvioulsy I dont have a crew yet. But I do have a lot of story ideas. I like brainstorming and coming up with such plots. I’m also working on a pirate/revolutionary character who might be involved as well, but that is far from ready.
Anyways I’d like to hear peoples thoughts on this plot, ideas, critiques, etc. And definitely I want to hear if you are interested in engaging in this plot either from the perspective of other wannabe revos like me, or young marines who could be under the Captains command, unaware of his schemes.
