Name of Devil Fruit: Jushi Jushi no Mi (Resin Resin Fruit)
Type of Devil Fruit: Logia
Devil Fruit Appearance:
This particular devil fruit takes the form of an enlarged fig fruit, rather bulbous in shape. the pointed top of the fruit is accented by the first marker of any devil fruit, sporting a stem that curled noticeably on one end. The other end seemed to droop down, covered in a sort of sticky resin. The fruit itself is covered in this same resin. The skin of the fruit has sickly brownish green hue, marked with the devil fruit spirals.
If you asked him, Adrian described the taste of the fruit as mind-numbingly horrible. The meat of the fruit had tasted like rotten food, that had been sitting out for weeks in rather humid climate. As if that had not been enough, the residue only stuck to his mouth more, leaving the taste there for weeks as well.
Who is it For?: Adrian Loren
Ability Description: The Jushi Jushi no Mi grants the user the ability to become, manipulate, and generate seemingly endless amounts of tree resin. The resin is very viscous, sticking to most materials quite easily. Beyond that, the user can also quickly harden the resin into amber. This state change adds quite a bit of versatility to the power itself. The user is able to create constructs of amber, like certain objects or weapons. this hardening ability can also be used for making quick solid patch repairs.
Ability Potential:With the natural state of the resin, melee attacks or projectile weapons will have little effect against the user in their element state. The said object is far more likely to get stuck in the sticky resin. That does not apply to seastone weapons or attacks infused with Haki, for obvious reasons. Another effective application would be using the resin to trap an opponent. It could be launched or even placed to immobilize them. This could even be taken a step further if the user is also able to harden the resin as well, encasing the trapped person or object in the hardened amber.
Given the nature of the user's element, they are very effective n any type of forest area. This environment effectively gives them control over vast amounts of resin from the surrounding trees, allowing for far more elaborate attacks.
The user could also harden the resin into solid shapes, such as weapons. This adds a bit of versatility as the user can create many different objects as he is hardening the resin. They also lose any control beyond physically using the object, once the amber has fully hardened. This does provide a bit more defence to the user as they could use the amber to shield themselves as well. in that regard the amber is surprisingly resilient, becoming as hard as iron when fully hardened. As the user gains more control over their abilities, the amber can be made harder. Also, at his current ability, Adrian cannot return the amber to resin without time and a good deal of concentration.
As with all logia, the user has the defensive ability of turning into their at element. At his current level, Adrian has to concentrate to be able to use this ability. in that sense, it has little defensive advantages, other than the ones stated earlier.
On a less combative scale, the hardened amber can also be used to fix cracks in a ship or other similar structures.
Starting Techs
Resin Trap
The user will gather a large ball of resin in their hand, compressing it. Once they manage to do so, the ball is then chucked at their target. Upon making contact with the the target, the ball will then fall apart, surrounding the target. The user then hardens the resin into amber, immobilizing an opponent's limbs. If the ball is large enough, it could even be used to completely encase the target in amber.
Amber Shot
The user extends their hand forward, launching small little bits of resin towards their opponent. The resin is quickly hardened into small pellets, acting as small projectiles
Amber Armory
Effectively a blanket term for any time the user constructs a weapon from the amber. Given the imagination and skill of the user, this can be used to craft quite a few types of weapons or tools.
Advanced Techs
Resin Trap: Amber Tomb
This variation of Resin trap is generally only use in forests, where the user is able to quickly draw on vast amounts of resin. By controlling the resin from nearby trees, the user draws as much as they can onto the target before hardening it. If done correctly, the target is encased it a large shell of amber.
"Tar Pit"
Another technique that can be extremely effective in a forest area, the user will leave a large amount of resin on the ground as a trap. Normally this can then be used to trap an opponent by trapping their feet. IT can even be used in a hole to trap them further.
Extinction Event
A personal favourite of Adrian's. This technique requires a great deal of time and concentration. The user will gather as much of their resin as they can before jumping into the air. Once they've hit their limit, they will then quickly harden it and throw it down towards an opponent or target. The resulting impact can cause a devastating amount of damage. unfortunately, the time needed to create an effective amount leaves the user vulnerable. At his current level, Adrian can only manage to get to the size of large boulders.
Another variant technique. This is executed by using a powerful strike or blast to shatter the amber created. This results in the various shards of amber to spread over a wider area. It results in a loss of impact at the advantage of a larger area of effect.[/ul]
Amber Blast Essentially a larger version of the amber shot, the user will create a larger ball of resin before launching it at the target.
Quirks: The Jushi Jushi no Mi has more of a side ability rather than a quirk. Given that its user is resin it is made of, it can be used to put the user in a sort of stasis. This is done by the user encasing themselves in amber. Unfortunately, it takes a mastery over the fruit to be able to break free from within. Any other instance would require outside forces to break open the amber.

Weakness:
- Standard Devil Fruit Weaknesses
- Intense heat can affect the resin, making it unstable and impossible to control. It could even melt it if hot enough. With the amber, it can actually cause the amber to break down back into the resin and so on.
- The user's resin form can be disrupted by any form of small particles, such as dirt or sand. It causes the resin to loses its stickiness, as well as causing the viscous material to stiffen. This leaves the user vulnerable to normal attacks, even while in their intangible form.

The Jushi Jushi no Mi turns the user into a "Tree Resin Human," capable of generating and becoming tree resin, as well as hardening that resin into amber.
