Eden laid strung over his hammock with his crimson irises barely revealed from the small slits of vision he had pointed towards the floor of the ship. Wood creaking with the more upbeat waves the remnants of the storm had dished out. His mind raced with flashes of the events that had taken place, the grey clouds that bloated the sun giving the room a gloomy visage. Even through this Eden could tell it had been daytime, It'd been at least 14 hours since the events that plagued his mind had transpired. His face twisted up anguish at the thought of how he allowed his friend to be carried away, someone who he silently vowed to always protect no matter what. He snarled lightly in the darkness with his fist gripped tightly enough to make etching sounds as if rope was being pulled together. Releasing the animosity that consumed him as he felt the moister in his eyes began to build. Without a motion or thought he sat there, a small smile creeping onto his face while a chuckle rung from his throat. Throwing himself from the hammock and walk out of the door, making his way up towards the deck.
The salty air licking each and everyone of his senses, strong winds fluttering his hair to one side. The strong salted smell entering his nostrils as he walk forth onto the deck. Taking note of his small raccoon friend who he had almost completely forgot about through his silent anger. Lifting his towards her as she dropped the walnut she had been fumbling with to scale his arm instantaneously, taking her place coiled around his neck like a scarf. Eden rubbing his head against her warm body for a moment before a voice spoke out.
"That navy ship is going, to Illusia. I already changed our coarse if you didn't notice"
Eden startled by the voice before looking upwards, a woman in a tan cloak sat just at the hull of the ship. A violent cracking sound coming from her, though Eden only had vision of her back. A shell tossed backwards bounce against the floor boards, landing just at Edens feet. It'd been a walnut shell and also explained how Rosebud got into the walnuts. Walking over towards the hull where the woman had been sitting as he saw a figure in the distance, the foggy morning dew making exactly what it had been hard to decode, but if he had to guess it was an island. Tilting his head over slightly attempting to make somewhat of eye contact with the girl, though she noticeably refused too.
"I'm E-"
She raised her hand against his face before he could utter another word. Throwing the contents of the shell into her mouth allowing a loud succession of crunches ring out. Allowing herself to finish his snack in it's entirety with her hand still in Eden's face before speaking.
"I don't plan on being around for long, save the names."
She didn't miss a beat, her emotionless voice seemed to suck what little bliss there was straight from the air. She had such a grim atmosphere around her, it'd actually been quite impressive. She turned her body before hoping off the side of the ship and towards the steering wheel. They'd been quite close to the island now, close enough for Eden to make out details even through the fog. Looking upwards towards the sky as he could now make out were exactly were the sun had been. His eyes tilted upwards to the side of his head as he began to count on his fingers, coming to the conclusion that it'd been between 9 or 10'o clock. A massive creek sounded as the ship docked just before the town. Footsteps suddenly rung out behind him, slightly surprised as the girl had been running full speed and jumped off the ship towards the tiles of the town. Her cloak blasting in the wind as she soared into the air. Eden's eyes suddenly widened as he noticed something that caused him the spring into action without a second thought.
On her hip was a sack at which they kept the rest of there gold, the woman had been stealing from them the whole time. Eden flipped over the deck, landing onto the tile and racing behind the woman.
