A few ideas, a few possible crews.

Ok. I'm chock full of useless ideas I want to throw out there. I need too, cause I can't bottle this crap up without going stir crazy.

I have two character's I'd like to make, each different and possibly more solo/group orientated than the other.


The first is Shelbi Bracks, a cyborg slaver who specializes in taking down DF user's, breaking their spirits and selling them to the highest bidder. She is infamous for her successful apprehensions of victims, constant rotation of stock and the perfect health each specimen is delivered with. She does not loot, steal, rape or pillage. Slaving is her only trade and she takes a sickening pride in it.



The Black Egg, a masked wo/man(?) of no discernible species who hides their past and features under a mask and cloak. Proficient in firearms of almost any make or model, the Black Egg is a Revolutionary for reasons that have yet to be revealed. Always taking on the most difficult missions possible and always choosing assassination over any and all fieldwork, the Black Egg is an extremely important piece for the Revolutionaries and is always ready to do wetwork.

--A little more OOC information, the Black Egg will eventually be revealed as a half-mink (goat) half-human female. This will explain some things like incredible jumping ability, clinging to narrow shelves with just feet and the rather odd night vision and range of vision in general.


I need partners and stuff for the future when I get these two going.

Hey, we already spoke a bit about this on the Chatbox. But I've been ruminating on an idea of a broker/trader that specializes in trafficking, and has found that flesh is the most lucrative commodity. I have the look, race, and temperament down, just haven't really ironed out his combat niche and modes of operation yet. But I'm down with this idea, think it'll be a good asset to a crew such as that cause he can be a financial front man, and also will be a "Historian" for the traditional crew obligations. 

As a side note I've thought of two distinct ways of combat. One I'm leaning towards is a spiritual base, using Dials. Something like what a Shaman would look like, but instead of abstract things like magic or other things that we're unsure of Canon-wise, he utilizes Dials that would look or seem like the character using magic for those who aren't in the know.

I think that'd be absolutely amazing. I also like the idea of using a fighting style that's obscure from precursory inspection and turns out to be utterly logical once you get the gist of it.

Your historian background could also play the part of knowing the average statistical data like Islands census, culture and generic outlining of the people there.


I'd also like to keep the crew as a set of small specialists. No NPC fodder pirates, no throwaway characters among the crew either. The entirety of the crew should be specialized in some way even if it's not outright combat and should be able to cover each other's weaknesses.

These all sound like really cool ideas. I was hoping to do something related to the slave trade/darker parts of the story but was a little intimidated with being an E Rank. Is that where you guys will be starting?

Yea I might start my guy off now and build him from the ground up, if you have an idea of the character you want, you can always get them approved now and work towards the goals you have set. It's just gonna take a lot of dedication to achieve it. This idea is still fledgeling though, and all of the pieces should be specialized in some form.

For example, Shaamal's character would be a tech specialist equipped with many gadgets for apprehension of targets, while mine is gonna be more centered around Illusion/support. Every group member adds a certain aspect to the team for balance.

I was originally considering starting Shelbi at C-Rank so she could really go hardcore from the get go. But I might be willing to start her off now and make adjustments to her character basis on how we all interact and how missions go, you know?
