*Bang!*
"HEEELP!"
*Bang!*
Left and right, men and women in white and blue were struck by bullets. Regardless of wrong answers, each second another bullet came flying from a different direction.
*Bang!*
"I don't want to die yet!"
Wether you were with THOR or with the Fort, didn't matter, at this point even the most staunch soldier freaked out. Even Nadya Orlov and friends cowered down, hoping to evade a fatal shot. Not that it mattered.
*Bang!*
"Won't anybody stop this!?"
The maniacal show host had to precisely place each shot via remote control, probably had little cameras all over the walls on top of many a remotely operated gun; not an easy task to hit a moving target precisely like that. And yet, each and every shot of his fell a target, no bullet was wasted.
"Whooohohoho!"
Tarrant was having the time of his life, sniping those in particular who had decided the best strategy to avoid his bullets was running around like crazy chickens. His eyes behind the glasses were darting in all directions, trying to keep up with his many targets. Nady was crouched to a ball in the middle of the room. To try and find an answer to the question posted would have been a moot endeavor, it was a fact question not a riddle. So she just kept where she was, head hiding between her knees, building up rage to combat the panic. If somebody was here who could just tell her what to do! Without a commander soldiers were hopeless!
"Whooohohoho!"
All of the sudden, it came to her.
No exit!
As quietly as possible, the redhead looked up to the face on the screen. What was the plan here? Set up this giant deathtrap, kill them all and keep them and his entire expensive equipment shut behind that near indestructible steel plate that shut the door? No, surely there had to be another way in. And yet, looking around the room once more, there was nothing but slits and and tiny cavities for the pirate's deadly contraptions to fire out of. The worst one, presumably, was that big hole right above them. Big enough that he could let a boulder fall down on them. Given the man's tendencies, that was likely what it was for....Oooooor it really was the only other way in and out.
The next idea sneaking into Nadya's mind was one that even scared herself a little bit. If she was wrong, the next one shot would be her, guaranteed. Even if she was right and this failed, she would be responsible for far more deaths than the 'Hamster Wheel' right now. All she had to do was hit a fragile spot and half the labyrinth complex could collapse on their heads. On the other hand, if she was right AND succeeded, Tarrant would find a most satisfying end.
"Ryan!" Miss Orlov yelled, fumbling with something on her belt. "Ryan, I'm going to kill him!"
"Nad shut up!"
Hectic nodding from Yrian agreed with his cousin. As fun as it could be, the winged woman's rage couldn't help them anymore.
Whatever.
Without wasting anymore time on the boys, Seawoman Apprentice Nadya Orlov pulled the plug on one of her grenades - then leapt up from her position on the ground, hurling the shell upwards with as much force as she could possibly muster. Up and up it flew, entering the hole above them without making a sound...
1 second...2 seconds...3...
Tarrant's crazed laughter suddenly stopped. Squinting, he was trying to figure out what just happened.
...4...
"IEEK!"
Realising what was going on the pirate squealed like a pig and hopped out of frame. Something had entered his hiding place, and he had to push it back down as quickly as possible, before it would be too late!
...5.
*BOOM!*
The explosion shook even the hall below. Soot and debris was catapulted down the hole, burrying the brave seawoman and her buddies below. The screen went dark, the shooting stopped, the Marines froze on the spot. In the silence, a tiny object plummeted on top of the debris pile, landing on the tip like icing on a cake: A broken pair of worn out blue swimming glasses.
