A Paramecia (“Superhuman System”) is a class of Devil Fruit that bestows its user with a unique power that cannot otherwise be defined as either a Zoan or a Logia, ranging from stretching like rubber, to producing and shaping candle wax, and even altering their environment.
Paramecia Ability Users vary wildly in what exactly they can do, but can be roughly defined by the concept behind their particular ability. Some grant the user’s body passive changes that they can then manipulate, such as being immune to cutting attacks and controlling any body part cut from them (Buggy’s Bara Bara no Mi). Other Paramecia allow their eater to transform their body into something else, making use of its variable properties, such as consuming their environment and assimilating it into their body (Wapol’s Baku Baku no Mi). Certain Ability Users produce a substance, energy, or similar material from their body which they can then manipulate, such as string (Doflamingo’s Ito Ito no Mi), while yet others instead gain abilities that allow them to alter their surroundings in different ways, like manipulating stone by assimilating it (Pica’s Ishi Ishi no Mi).
Because Paramecia are so difficult to strictly define, they generally fall into a handful of loose types, but can still have massively different powers within those broad strokes. Generally, Paramecia are either those that alter the user’s body specifically, alter the user’s environment or surroundings, or allow the user to generate a substance. However, there is another unique classification of Paramecia, of which there is currently only one canon example, and that is the Special Paramecia (Katakuri’s Mochi Mochi no Mi).
Special Paramecia share a lot of similarities with Logia, but have a few unique differences. First, Special Paramecia are not natural, inorganic substances, but can instead be an organic by-product or man-made substance. Second of all, they’re a little more limited in their ability in that external sources of their material are outside of their control, as opposed to a Logia’s ability to incorporate external sources into their attacks. This helps to strictly define the difference between the two types.
Paramecia abilities require at least one suitable weakness that a would-be opponent can exploit. Even an apparently invincible power has something that can bypass its supreme defence.
The following table shows how much X-Poinz are required to purchase a type of Paramecia, as well as how much Rebate you receive for doing so.

Unique Paramecia Features
After consuming a Paramecia-class Devil Fruit, a character gains a new Trait linked with their abilities (and weaknesses). The primary example would be Luffy who, after consuming the Gomu Gomu no Mi, became a “Rubber Man”. Developing a Paramecia’s abilities is mostly based upon creative use of their powers, though there is currently one exception available to Special Paramecia, which can be found here.
