After a moment where Arelya hesitated, she looked up at him with her emerald green eyes and asked him where they were going to start if he was so set on helping these people.
With a nod in her direction, Kane quietly set down the board that he had taken from her earlier against the wall. It wouldn't do to take it along and end up with it getting damaged.
"We start by, as much as I hate to say it, helping that Marine," Kane whispered back to her, pointing in the direction of the fight that was turning more and more one sided. Though it made Kane's stomach roll at the thought that he was helping the World Government in the end, he knew that there was more to it than that. Mad Jack and his crew would stop at nothing to take over the entire Island if this base fell.
"Keep your eye out in case the others show up too," the red head warned as he gestured toward Frank and the soldier and broke his hiding spot, darting quickly and keeping low. He was hoping that the green haired woman would follow suit. If they could take out Franky from behind while he wasn't aware of their presence, it would be better than taking him one on one. Since he knew the Dealers would not hesitate to use underhanded methods himself, the ex-pirate Captain did not feel bad about his decision at all.
As he moved, he realized that the mask was obscuring some of his vision on the sides, so he lowered it so that it was hanging around his neck. It seemed that the gas was not in this area, luckily, so he would be alright for now.
"You devil! Even if I fall here today, you and the rest of the pirate scum with you will not win against the World Government's might!" cried the soldier as the latest sword swipe cut him across the chest, and he fell down hard, striking the ground with his knees and looking upward as the older man peered down at him.
Okay, lame speech aside, Kane was still going to help the Marine.
"That may be true, but we're willing to risk it," Frank said sincerely as he raised his sword, ready to deliver the final blow. "I hate to leave your family without a father. I hope you're a single man?"
The Marine scoffed and shook his head. Frank frowned and lowered his head, but not his sword.
"That's too bad," he responded before he began his swing. That was when a kick from out of no where connected with his jaw, causing Frank to recoil and also lose his grip on his weapon, which went sliding in the opposite direction. The leg that had struck him had been burning with a strange golden light, which left a nasty red burn mark on his face.
From his landing spot on the ground, Franky looked up, stunned, painfully gripping his chin, surprised to see a familiar face staring back at him from above.
"You! Then does that mean that... He's here too?" Franky questioned, nerves seizing up as he remembered his defeat at the older gentleman that was part of the Hoshi Pirate Crew; Scruffy. At the time he hadn't even been a member but the calm janitor had defeated him as though it had been nothing. He had been three times his age or more, and still the older man had dispatched Frank of Hearts as if he had been a novice.
Without really answering him just yet, Kane took a step back as the man scrambled to his feet, snatching up his weapon in a hurry before anyone could snatch it from him in his weaker state.
"No, he's not here," the ex-Captain responded, feeling a tinge of guilt for being the reason why. Why had he left his crew? In a situation like this, he needed them. At least he had Arelya though. He felt good that he at least had her with him during this and that they had each other's backs.
Meanwhile, another member of the Dealers made himself known by stepping into the area wielding his giant club that was probably ten times larger than the small, thin man was. John was actually smiling a small smile, as though he were proud of himself for deciding to stick around in the area.
(Franky's a younger man (excuse my mistakes earlier, I fixed the descriptions I think) that is always extremely sincere in anything that he says. He'll even tell you plans on accident and won't ever lie. His only fighting style is with his sword. John, who wields the giant club, is usually really quiet unless you injure him. Then he gets super enraged and will rampage. He also flips out if you hurt his club as well. He likes to use sports references when he attacks, but he'll use the wrong ones for the situation.)
