Embarrassed at the fact that Sycamore had pulled her down, Mari tentatively accepted the hand offered to her, rubbing dirt off her face as she stood up and allowing Sycamore to rest. Somehow it was better if the insect marionette was not on taut strings at this moment in time. Apparently, the swordsman had blocked Sycamore's unintended attack, quite an impressive feat considering the kind of power the puppet was designed to have.
"Thank you," Mari said to Mirra, "and I'm sorry about that. Sycamore can be a bit energetic at times." Mari bowed apologetically towards the swordsman, Mahogani taking the opportunity to lock amber eyes with the man who also used a wooden sword. At Mirra's gesture, Mari joined the bounty hunter and swordsman. Apparently, the thief Mirra was chasing after went by the name of 'Maru the Panda'. Panda?
"I saw a panda, earlier on," Mari piped up, having found herself entangled in yet another puzzle that needed solving, "he was playing chess with a middle-aged gentleman!" True, Mari had spied a panda shortly after arriving here on Amino Island, she remembered catching a glimpse of said animal and then being unable to find it again. At first she had thought it was just her mind playing tricks on her, but now that this revelation had struck, she was more sure of herself.
"Oh, my name is Mari, pleased to meet you," the puppeteer responded after Mirra had asked for their names, "this is Mahogani," Mari turned slightly to show the swordswoman marionette on her back, who's amber eyes remained transfixed with the swordsman, "and that one is Sycamore." Mari gestured towards her insect puppet, whose head was currently resting between the wooden sickles of his forearms. Mari awaited the swordsman's introduction before speaking again.
"Mirra," Mari began, recognising the look of protectiveness in Mirra's eyes after her previous comment, "Mahogani, Sycamore and I are more than capable of defending ourselves..." Mari's voice trailed off a little, Mahogani catching her eye. The redwood marionette's intent was clear, but Mari was unsure of herself. Was a puppet, even one such as Mahogani, capable of rivalling a real swordsman?
