It was once again a blazing day in the capital of Zarzara Island. That did not deter the habitants of Waq Waq oasis though. The streets were bustling, the merchants were trying to sell their products to customers, some were of the less pleasant kind but, luckily for the children, those were hidden. Most people were out of the house, either out working, walking to or from the market, playing next to the water or were enjoying a day with the family. One person was not quite enjoying the day. Said person was the main character of our story who was sleeping in his bed which won't be long due to outside forces. Said forces had the height of 5 feet 3 and had a weight of 123 lbs. The force was also carrying a pan in frying pan in its right hand as it was walking upstairs towards the room where our hero was. As it got closer to the room it rolled up its right sleeve. Abruptly opening the door the force puts all its strength in its right arm before throwing the frying pan straight to our hero's direction.
WAKE UP YOU LAZY ASS!!! Our hero's mother yelled at him just as the frying pan hit him straight in the face. Now how did the frying pan hit him while he was laying down? Well when his mother opened his door without any warning, he jolted up thus leaving his face wide open without any guard. The strength that was put in the frying pan jerked his head backwards, which made our hero's head make contact with the wall behind him, the painful kind.
As he was holding his head to soften the pain his mother walked over to his curtains, opens them in one go, turns around and huffs at her son. For God's sake Ray, how long are you going to be asleep? Weren't you setting out today? His mother asked as she crossed her arms. Luin Meredy, now Hershel Meredy, was a petite woman with a skin that showed she works a lot in the sun. Covering her body was a yellow dress with ray patterns on it. Her hair was a light purple and white mix that she kept in a sideway ponytail.
Darnit mom, I thought we talked about this?! Ray yelled right back at her as he was pulling himself out of bed showing that he only wears boxer as sleepwear, but can you blame him? As Ray stood at his full size he completely dwarfed his mother, seeing as he was 6 feet 7. He didn't share her tanned skin but he wasn't pale either. On top of his head Ray had messy black hair that refused to be kept tidy. Ray also seemed to posses some muscles and a six pack. Ray's muscles weren't like the once of a body builder, his were compacter and looked smaller, deceiving all that think he is weak, seemingly it was a trait of his father's side of the family. His eyes were a dark red that possessed a little twinkle.
That we did, but if you weren't planning on waking up then I wasn't planning on keeping my end of the bargain. Now make your bed, dress yourself and come down to eat breakfast. Well I guess you could call it lunch by now. His mother chided him, while shaking her hand at him with her pointing finger out. Walking towards the door Meredy turns around. Before you leave visit your uncle Keele alright? Your sister is with him. With his back turned towards her Ray simply waves to show her he understood. Finishing with his bed Ray walks towards outside his room towards the bathroom while rubbing his head and yawning at the same time.
Finishing his morning, noon would be more fitting at the moment, routine of cleaning himself, Ray dresses himself in a complete black garment consisting of a long cloak with leather straps, a black interior and a chin-high collar. Ray wears no shirt underneath, dark green baggy pants and black combat boots. After putting on his combat gloves, Ray grabs the last item of his attire Ray looks fondly at the straw hat, shaking it slightly to make the chimes create their sound. Placing it on his back Ray walks outside the bathroom and then downstairs to the living room that he needs to pass to enter the kitchen. He didn't expect to see his dad there though.
Oi, dad, don't you need to go to work or something? Looking up from his newspaper Hershel Reid gives his son a smirk as he stands up, standing at an impressive height of 7 feet 6, showing where Ray got his height from. Both seem to posses the same skin color that isn't quite common in Waq Waq, same as with his strange red colored hair. His father seemed to be more muscled than his son, understandably as the man is a carpenter. He was wearing a purple, sleeveless shirt, beige pants and flip flops.
Nope, had to see my own son a last time before he leaves the safe nest don't I? Nodding his head at the explanation Ray walks towards the kitchen table and grabs the bag that was laying there. Nodding to both of his parents once again Ray seems to turn around and walks towards the exit of the house. Before he could get far though he was hugged from behind. Becoming as hard a plank from the surprise Ray sees that it's just his mother, who seemed to be holding back her tears.
Sighing mentally Ray just keeps standing still to allow the woman one last long touch with her son. As she starting to let go off him she gives him a smile before walking to the kitchen. Looking at his dad he sees that the man shakes his head slightly before giving his son a good natured punch in the shoulder. Punching the man back Ray gives him a small smirk that was returned by the man.
Turning around once again Ray walks towards the door of the house puts on his hat to block the sun rays and opens it. Before he closes it though he hears his dad shout to him. Don't forget to visit your sister at Keele's! Nodding his head Ray closes the door spin on his heel and starts walking to say goodbye to the last links to this place before leaving Waq Waq and Zarzara Island.

If there are any changes that need to happen, or if needs to be posted in the 'Open Seas' Thread, I'd appreciate a PM ^^
