Diego Vendrix
Captain of the Miracle Pirates
Vendrix Bakery, Mirrorball Island
On one of the more open streets of Mirrorball Island, a small local bakery closed its down for what could be for the last time. It was the bakery owned by the Vendrix family. Only one person still worked there that was part of the family. The rest were family friends. While they were going to take of the place, it wasn't sure if they would keep it as a bakery or turn it into a cafe or something. Regardless, the young man with his pack filled with stuff exited the building and went off to deliver the keys to the new owner.
This young man was dressed in a red shirt and black tunic. He also wore black pants and special moccasins. He had on glasses and a monk's staff on his back. His name was Diego Vendrix, the man would become the King of the Pirates.
Diego had arrived at the place. It was a nice restaurant. The owners knew him. Diego had come in and wordlessly gave them a smile before dropping off the keys. He then left.
Some of the patrons looked confused. The midde-aged man looked at the kid. "Looks like you are really going, kid. Just remember your moral code and to never give up. I am sure you will do all right," he said. His daughter, a young woman came up to him. "Father, was that Diego? Why did he drop of the keys?" she asked him.
"Diego's leaving Mirrorball Island. He's finally going out and doing it," the man stated while his daughter had a nostalgic smile.
"I imagine that was decided when Mr. Nium visited years ago. Is he really going out?" she asked him.
"Yup, that boy is going to the Grand Line and fight for the title King of the Pirates and the treasure One Piece," the old man said with a smile. He expected good things from that kid.
Diego began going the road as he wondered what was his plan. He wondered whether he should buy a boat or if he could steal one. Maybe he would find someone who had one and would end up being his first mate. He wasn't sure, but it sure was excited.
He began running down as he faced the city in the distance and beyond that, the ports and the infinite sea.
