It was a tranquil and slightly cool day on Eldoran Island. A soft breeze blew through the Town of Ran and caused a sign or two for bars to swing back and forth. Merry music floated out of many of them and there was laughter and loud stamping noises. Even at this early hour of the day there were men and women alike drinking to their heart's content inside their confines, gulping down large glasses of beer. They hadn't yet drunk enough to be incredibly drunk, to the good times were rolling. However, as the day progressed and fell into night there were bound to be some that had drunk too much and got rowdy with another pirate.
And as the men tried to one up each other, it would generally end up in a massive brawl before the bartender would get someone to throw them all out. After sluggishly making their way to their homes and ships, if they were lucky enough to make it back that far, they would pass out and wake up in the morning not remember that night before so well. Then they would go to the bar and do it all over again.
Kaede had traveled here not really seeking anything from the Island in particular. Her notebook was tucked in her back pant's pocket but she was observing things carefully enough that she would be able to jot down whatever happened later into it's pages.
She stopped in one of one particular bar and debated on whether or not she should go in. Though she wasn't here for any real purpose, she wanted to observe all she could about the entire Island. As an Achaeologist she wanted to make sure there wasn't anything special here as far as ruins were concerned. It didn't seem that way so far though and she had already been to two other areas on the Island, daring even to get close to the Marine base in the center.
Finally deciding to go in, Kaede pushed open the doors and made her way to an empty table. Sitting down, she pulled out her notebook and pencil and began to jot a few things down before ordering a drink. She gazed across the bar calmly from her corner, not standing out in anyway, particularly because she also didn't look like she was a woman. The drunks in the bar were hitting on every other woman in the place while Kaede was free to sip on her beer.
