Oh. Oh dear. This wasn't going to work. Now Reese was going to be stoned (literal sense of the word, too,) to save his friend. All right then! Bring it on! He could take it! Hopefully. Ah, who was he kidding? He definitely couldn't make stone work. Think of the bugs and rain! Eugh, it was enough to make his skin crawl. And since his skin was soon to be solid rock, anyhow. So it didn't matter. Stupid god damn manatees. They could have dropped him any other island. It had to be the one with the stoning lady. Typical.
Whoah, talk about dumb luck. A boar just carried off said stoning lady. And the crazy lady who follows the stoning lady left after. Well, did Houdini (I don't know him either,) escape his cabinet in a day? Yes. He did. Oh. Damnit.
Turning back to make a break for it, he met the face of the stonified Tricia. She seemed to be screaming for Reese to go back and help the woman who holds her heart. Gah. How inconvenient. Guilt strikes at the oddest times. Well he'd have to flip for it. Pulling out a coin, he declared Heads=go save Hebihime, and Tails=Run with the guilt giving statue. Flipping the coin, he extended his hand to catch it and then brought it onto his other hand. Let's take a look. Interesting.
Meanwhile
Ran had been loosing arrow after arrow at the attacker. The problem was, she must've been in a terrible stress, because she either only glazed it's hide or missed all together. Meanwhile, the Hebihime herself was in a great deal of stress, too much so to vanquish the boar herself. Was all hope lost? Was the boar going to enjoy a tasty Shichibukai meal? NO! (Insert heroic Indiana Jones-like music here.) A brown blur blew past Ran as she fired, picking her up with a foot and placing her a tree, clearly making the point that she should stay there.
The dashing brown blur then made his (oops, did i give it away?) way to the boar, making it stop just out of curiosity. Flying high up into the air, a human-sized bird-like creature seemed to blot out the sun, and he whispers, "Hundred Sparrow." A hundred bullet-like feathers peppered the boar, their speed and intensity giving them the illusion of appearing as sparrows. The charming, handsome, and full of himself blur then snatched up the Hebihime in his beak, wrapping his talons/legs around her own so she would not fall. "Hold on tight." He flew towards where Ran was sitting.
