'So where am I now...?'
Torin fidgeted as he regained conciousness, his hair attacking uncommon areas of his face. His vision was once again blurred and quite frankly he was getting fed up with waking up in different places while being completely unknowing if it was reality or not. Though his mental disputes were quickly silenced as a head of hair with a familiar colour came with a much more focused face, edging closer to him. 'Just don't move.' The soft and almost angelic voice recommended to him, his response was a half-concious brow raise and head-tilt, a custom to Torin in the rare state of confusion. 'Did you always have ominous music playing around you?' Her response was nothing but a smile, she edged closer as Torin began to feel a little invaded in the situation. 'I said don't move you stupid boy!' That sentence ran nails over a chalk-board, as he was thumped on the head by a rolling pin, his vision focused and he snapped out of blurry land only to realise the woman starring at him was 50 years older than he had expected. 'Stupid boy! Going and dying out on the street! Back in my day we had standards! You would at least die in a gutter somewhere!' The now recognised old hag ranted and raved as she headed out of the now apparent small bedroom, quickly replaced by a much younger looking woman. 'Don't yell at dying people you stupid old woman!' The seemingly innocent girl looked back to Torin with a nervous giggle, before snapping herself out of her embarrassing moment. 'I'm so sorry about her, she's a little..' She looked back to the door, the old woman still ranting through the house as Torin and the girl simply sighed to one another. 'Yea...'
'What my Grandma said was true though.' The small pony-tailed girl reinforced, as she firmly shoved the ever rising Torin back onto the bed. 'Dr. Downing said you weren't supposed to move until later Mister Hard-Hat.' Torin chuckled to himself at the formal yet pirate name addressing of himself, quieting as the girl looked up to him from checking his wound. 'Dr. Downing..' He said curiously as he placed his hands behind his head, a very uncommon thing for him to do seeing as he was always wearing his.. Wait a second. 'Where's my helmet..?' The girl backed away with a nervous giggle as Torin's shrouded face loomed over her. 'It's right here! Right here see!? Nothing to worry about.. Right here..' Torin made a sinister glare before taking the helmet from the bedside, placing it underneath his arm as he snapped back to his happy persona. 'So I guess you know who I am.' The girl nodded, as Torin seemed to have hit a spot of interest with her, as she tumbled underneath the bed and pulled out a collection of posters. 'I know about all the pirates! I have to know them if I am going to fight them some-day!' Torin eyed the girl up and down, barely even passing four feet tall in his opinion, he simply smiled as the girl enthusiastically showed him her collection. 'Uhm.. Mister Hard-Hat?' He raised his brow in curiosity as a picture consumed his face. 'Is Taro with you?' Torin nodded, the girl seemed to almost black-out for a moment, dropping the picture as her arms moved faster than he could fathom. 'He's so cuuuute!~ The way he handled the marines in your attack of shell island! And that guitar!~ I have to meet him, can I meet him!? Ple- Oof!'
The ecstatic child was silenced by a common rolling pin as she tumbled to the floor, the old woman folding her arms and looking over to Torin. 'Though you won't be able to actually move, I thought you should know that the word of 'ur crew attacking the fish men is all over the town.' Torin went to sit up in enthusiasm for her to continue, only for her to slowly move him back down as she readied her weapon of choice in warning. 'They seem to be causing quite a ruckus, but you are not moving and inch young man..' Torin glared, only to be met by an even uglier glare, this wasn't going so well. 'Robin put me in charge 'ya you! and if you do as much as nudge off that bed..' She needn't say no more, though none the less Torin continued to persist. 'But I'm fine! I've got to help my crew Dammit!' He flailed on the bed with a relentless 'Gaah' only to stop suddenly as something occurred to him. 'So where is this Doctor Downing?' He moved to sit up and as he was struck once more he landed a subtle poke to the old woman's arm as she tumbled onto the bed with a unresponsive swing. 'Yea! Who's hitting me with a rolling pin now huh!? Thought so!' He looked to the girl with a blank face as she simply laughed at her grumbling Grandma. 'You 'gotta teach me how to do that!' Torin stumbled past, ruffling her hair as he went. 'Maybe later. Kid' She scrunched her face in response, raising her hands up in glory 'I'm not a kid! I'm ten years old!' She quickly looked back to her fingers in defeat, as she had only presented nine.
The house was quite spacious despite the small room he was confined in, as the small girl helped him hobble along the wooden floors, his helmet swaying from side to side as he limped into the main room, a more realistic version of his saviour seemed to be sitting patiently. 'Doctor Downing, awful nice of you to save me out there.' He said sincerely, straightening out his back as his body began to respond more fluidly. 'She's the best Doctor in town!' The girl said confidently while lightly supporting him. 'I would presume so little miss.' He looked back towards Robin, leaving the girl to giggle to herself. 'So, Doctor Downing.'
'I need to go help my friends.'
