The old man was safe from the flames now and everything was going according to plan. Well...almost everything. The remaining pirates went down by the rebels and the town was once again peaceful so they could resume their way to that merchant. Marching footsteps came to ruin this peaceful moment. Where were they coming from? It certainly wasn't the rebels. They were strong but they were not organized like that. “RUN BOY, RUN!!” the old man freaked out as he was looking behind Dean. What was going on?
Turning around to see for himself, Dean couldn't believe his eyes. The Emperor's dogs. Why were they here and in such big numbers? Maybe they were retreating or trying to get off the island. And the docks were close to this village. Well, the reason didn't matter right now. They were now charging the rebel forces which didn't fall back but instead they attacked them with pride and strength. Kuno was a pleasure to watch as he was fighting. Nothing could stop the giant. Even the elite forces would find their end under the black man's boot or between his arms.
It wasn't time to be admiring the view. Dean had to run and accompany the old man to the merchant. This battle wasn't his. All he wanted to do was to get off the island as soon as possible. "Old man, let's make ha..." wait...where was he? He disappeared. The ferryman just vanished. He probably just fled. He was fast after all as Dean saw before. He had to find him now. Looking down the road he couldn't see him anywhere. He must have gone to the end of the town and that's where Dean would head now.
Holding his sword high he started running down the road avoiding any attacks that were made against him and crashing the guards that came in his way to stop him. A few minutes passed and he was finally outside the fight. Panting heavily he looked around him. He was now in the outskirts. Nobody could be seen around and not even the old man.
Dean kept walking along the road inspecting the leftovers of the town. Ruined buildings. Most of them at least. That was the only result war could bring. Death and destruction. Even the most rightful wars couldn't avoid that and even from the so called "good guys".
"Oi! Old man! Are you here?" Dean dared to yell as he stopped next to what appeared to be a, now destroyed, town clock. He had to find him fast and get ready to set sail.
((Just to know, since Haseo is back and I'm gonna help him finish the other thread. This takes place after the events in the citadel))
