(OOC: I'll do my best to revive him, but you've gotta do something! Try and open his airways again!)
The shock of his predicament hastened his suffering. Everything was drowned out by pain. The scene before him, the hellish scene of his companions being battered by a single marine Captain, was a silent one. It all seemed distant now. Alek could barely hear the screams coming from both Lyra and Jack. It was as if this fate, this tragic fate, was taking place on a far off world.
Alek opened his mouth, desperate for more air. It would only be minutes until he asphyxiated, until he died. Pounding his chest in despair, the cyborg tried to force his lungs to expand, to breathe. A little puff of air escaped his mouth, indicating his limited success. He pounded again, harder this time, and a little more air, nothing more than a tiny breeze, could be felt coming from his mouth.
His silvery-blue eyes searched around, looking for anything and anyone that might save him. He caught sight of his friends, and cried out for them.
'Jack, Lyra...' it took all of his strength to utter just two words. As the world faded to black, Alek thought of how pathetic it was for a king to die this way. Disappointed in himself, but also accepting that there was nothing he could do about it, the cyborg made one last gesture to the others to come and save him before passing out.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
'Hmph.' Captain Richard J. Paul looked down upon the pathetic group of pirates with disdain. They hadn't been much of a challenge. All it had taken was one, maybe two punches on his part and the main conduit of damage was down. It was ironic really; this man he had killed had brought him to the brink last time. It wasn't as if he was holding back either - both had been giving their all.
Staying taciturn as Coral-boy and mermaid looked more helpless than fish in a barrel, Richard wondered what to do next. They hadn't any bounty, and arresting them would be far too much effort. Tapping his chin in thought, the Captain let a small laugh escape his lips.
