Remus Dante of the Xiao Lan clan had watched the marvels of the Hard-Hat Pirates as they escaped from the clutches of justice using some great get-away techniques. These guys were capable of getting out of some tough situations. They seemed to be designed for this kind of thing. Cowardly, yes, but clever and Dante admired that. He studied there moves carefully, watching as they worked as a team and out foxed, out maneuvered and out played the silly marines that chased them, making it all the way back to their ship. It was very admirable Dante had to admit to himself but sooner or later, they will come across a dead-end and that dead-end would be Dante. He would hunt these wannabe's down. But not just yet.
This could turn out to be an interesting game. Dante would keep an eye on these guys, like keeping folding the page of a novel to keep track for they could turn out to be his ticket for fame. After causing such a ruckus, here and there and everywhere they had been, it was about time they got a higher bounty on their heads. He would file one in personally if he had to but these guys need a higher price on their heads. Lets see what they do when not only marine's but bounty hunters are on their trail too. But the game wasn't to let them get caught. The whole idea was to let them get-away. Dante had begun conjuring a whole series of plans with a bright light shining at the end of it. Dante would make sure these guys gained enough infamy so that when Dante eventually take these lot down, he would get a whopping bonus and a boost in his rank. "Have fun whilst you can, Hard-Hat Pirates, for this is just the honey-moon period in your introduction to the world of piracy. I'm about to turn the road ahead a lot rougher for you guys. Let see what you got. But don't you worry, Impel Down has already got three cells with you names printed on them. Its just a matter of time. I mean what would be the point if I couldn't have a bit of fun in this." Dante spoke in a low voice, as if addressing himself, making a mental note of his thoughts, sniggering once he was done.
He casually walked toward a fallen marine who had been hurt by the blast. He looked down toward his comrade and gave him a disrespectful smile whilst tutting, as if to say, he was disappointed. He squatted down besides the dying soldier before placing his right hand into wound of the man, who screamed in further agony as Dante caused him further pain. "Sorry about that but its not exactly my fault you can't even look after your own body. You should first learn to defend yourself before you start thinking about defending others. This is what happens, this is the difference between myself and useless marine's like yourself. Don't mind me borrowing some of this, I need it. I can't be letting it look like I didn't try." Dante informed the fallen marine before smearing the blood all over his face and body. "Since your going to die anyway, I might as well relieve you of your duties and let you die peacefully. What do you say, an act of charity from me to you." The face of the marine changed from agony into shock and fear for he now knew this man wasn't worthy of carrying the navy seal and his life was as good as gone.
Clipping the two revolvers together, Dante slowly refilled them with bullets before pointing the weapon toward the heart of the injured marine. "Give the devil my greetings..." He said, winking at the man whilst giving the marine a goodbye message before taking away his life with a shot to the heart. Nobody alive was around to witness this despicable act as Dante walked away from the scene laughing to himself.
He approached the marine in command and began limping immediately, acting out as if he was seriously hurt and exhausted, falling at the feet of the commander. "I'm sorry sir for having failed you. I managed to wound one of the pirates seriously but he possessed a special technique that allowed him to extract bullets from his body and move so fast, it seemed like he disappeared. I suspect the works of one of those accursed fruits sir."
"Don't worry soldier. You have done well for a sea-man recruit. These lousy higher ranked marine's were useless against them so I couldn't have expected much more from you. Go and get some rest soldier, I'll file in a report to the HQ. It seems these guys might be a real nuisance. Better to have them captured before they go on to becoming a bigger threat to the world government." The marine captain told Dante before Dante took his leave with a fake struggled salute, cobbling on his way to the resting rooms.
