The resistance the men put on was a lot weaker than Inari expected. It was nearly not there at all. Maybe in a pub brawl they would have stand a chance, but against used fighters like Inari and Natsuki and Ken, even through Ken was more of a walking accident, they were powerless.
Two of them were out very fast and when the third one attacked Inari from behind he hesitated a second. Should he wait and see if Natsuki would help him? It would be interesting to see if she felt obligated to do so, but if she didn't it would probably hurt a bit and he wasn't a friend of pain and suffering.
He spun around and with a quick hand movement he knocked the last one out, before the man even noticed what happened to him.
"Yare Yare. Looks like we overdid it a bit. They were weaker than I expected. Maybe you should have a look at them Doc and see if you can patch them together a bit? The villagers won't like us either way but I think they will be less angry if we make sure their friends aren't too badly hurt."
That was a bit hypocritical he had to admit, since he was the one who probably did the most damage, but what else could he do than asking Ken?
If he liked it or not, they were in the same boat now. The people had seen him coming from the ship and they would not believe that he wasn't part of the crew. Especially since he helped the crew by beating up some of them. Why did he come back! It was one of the stumpiest things he ever did. Nearly as close to stupid as the thing in the town of- ... but that was a long time ago and he was younger back then.
Keeping himself out of serious trouble was one of his top rules and now he broke it. He needed to leave this island and this guys were probably his only option now. Since he had to stick with them, then being friendly around them would be a good choice, he thought.
"What are we going to do now? You're not hurt are you?" he asked Natsuki even though he didn't see her getting hurt and then as if he just remembered it, he took out the chocolate he bought before out of his bag and held it up and in front of her nose.
"I bought some chocolate for you Yayoi-san!" he told her smiling. "I hope you like them!"
