Boardum is a dangerous thing (Sabre/Ask to join)

Laughter rang throughout the Marine Headquarters of Sabaody Archipelago, followed by numerous of shouts that sounded like 'Lieutenant Sophia!' echoed through the place. Giggling a young green haired woman rounded the corner, her large brown eyes twinkling in childish amusement, as she looked over her shoulder to the scrambling marines that were chasing her.

Now normally this didn't happen, marines didn't chase her unless there was a good reason, much to Sophia's confusion. But of course someone running towards her, burst forth instincts to run, which Sophia didn't ignore and as a result, a chase began, which with her mind set, quickly linked it up to playing a game, one that Sophia started as often as possible with the others whenever she was in the Marine fortress.

To her, things got too boring, too quickly, this made things more entertaining.

Today, she was hungry, so, she headed down to the kitchens, where on sight, several chefs stopped what they were doing and stared, and the head chef, a woman, face-palmed and handed her an apron, which Sophia immediately decided meant that she was cooking too. Well the result was of several explosions, and a few dishes more then a little inedible, until she was chased out of the kitchen so they could fix the damage done before dinner.

Bored, she began walking around HQ, until she ran across some marines, who in response stared at her when she chirped an hello to them before says something about, fixing a problem before Sabby-chan returned and tried to pounce her.

Starting the game that she was currently playing with them now.

After all, the grunts didn't want to get in trouble for a Lieutenant deciding to run around wearing nothing but some white shorts and an apron from the kitchen.

Laughing again, she jumped up and sat her rump on one of the higher window ledges, smiling widely down at them. This game was so much fun!

Thorpe ran a hand through his hair, groaning. The whole day had been filled with nothing but complete and total boredom. While he managed to finish his paperwork quickly and without a single care for it, wandering out of the base and going on patrol of the area had brought about a boredom beyond comprehension. The utter lack of anything even remotely interesting, whether good or bad, had begun to get at him. Whilst normally, of course, he could ignore these problems, continue on his day simply mulling thoughts in his own head without a problem, he'd found himself too agitated to think straight and every few moments a hand would twitch dangerously close to his currently empty pocket. During his patrol, he'd run out of cigarettes. Though the smell of tobacco lingered about his frame, he'd left his wallet back in his office desk, locked in a compartment as he thought he wouldn't need it.

As a result, he'd chosen quickly to rush back to the headquarters and snatch some Beli from his wallet to spend on cigarettes. If he was going to get through this day, he was going to need them. Badly. But even as he came close to the courtyard of the headquarters, he became perplexed by the sight of his men running around like headless chickens, the situation seeming bizarre to him. Sighing, he looked around and caught by the shoulder the nearest Marine, turning the man to face him as he gave his subordinate a look of absolute seriousness with only a hint of an ill-temper. He'd begun getting impatient without his cigarettes. "Marine, you will answer me now and explain what the hell my men are doing running around like it's nobody's business" he spoke clearly and concisely. Suddenly a loud bang reached his ears, causing his gaze to dart away from the man, trying to spot where it came from, only to see some smoke leaving the kitchen window.

"... Again, what the HELL is going on?!" he remarked, turning back to the Marine. The man seemed to stutter for a few moments, unable to make a coherent response before hearing a very familiar laugh. Slowly, Thorpe's gaze rose upwards and upwards, eventually catching sight of a beautiful, buxom woman sitting on the ledge of a windowsill, laughing so carefree as though she were a child. Yet at the same time, what caught his attention most was not that, but the fact she appeared to be wearing only a pair of white shorts and an apron. His eyebrow twitched violently. "... Ah, yes, of course. Why ELSE would I agree to leave this damn place for something as boring as patrol?" he wondered aloud irritably, realizing he now had to deal with Sophia without his cigarettes.

Sophia. Without. Tobacco.

This was already a horrible, horrible day.

”Lieutenant! Please get down!” One Marine shouted, and practically face planted when all he was met with for his request was laughter. It was stressful trying to deal with the lieutenant like her, she was an absolute child, it was hard to believe that someone like her had the power of a Lieutenant, either the whoever gave her the position is senile, or was distracted by her....assets, which he himself actually had no problem admiring, he was a man after all. But given the fact that she was a lieutenant under Sabre...well...she had to be strong then. Sabre was if not a little...intimating...

Giggling Sophia watched from her perch, before, the metaphoric dog ears perked on top of her head, and she turned to look straight towards her captain. Her eyes shined happily as she got up from her seating position and jumped from her perch straight towards him. “SABBY-CHAN~!” She sang happily and in her happy mode, landed on top of the poor marine that Sabre was interrogating earlier, causing the man to fall to the ground from her sudden weight. Laughing happily, she wrapped her arms around Sabre's torso and nuzzled his chest like a content kitten, even on the verge of purring.

It was actions like this that usually called Sophia's relationship with Sabre into question. She seemed to be the only person that could do that and get away with it, and Sabre...he tolerated it for a lack of a better term. Though he was usually less then impressed with her lack of clothing, which made some of the marines even more suspicious. Sophia had a beautiful body, many would like to have her pressed against them daily as she seems to do with Sabre, but he barely bats an eyelash. Either he has seen everything Sophia has, or he was gay was the popular story amongst them.

Blinking, Sophia lifted her head from Sabre's chest and blinked at it in a rather perplexed manner. Frowning she patted at his chest with puzzlement, “Sabby-chan...smells weird.” She mumbled. He didn't smell as strongly of his brand of cigarettes, which confused her, Sabre always smelled like cigarettes, it practically WAS his scent, but the scent was...lighter then she ever remember it before.

Did that mean...that Sabre...was dying...?

Panic flooded through her as she looked up to Sabre's face and was shocked when she found no cigarette in sight. Flailing her arms shortly, she grabbed onto his white shirt, "Sabby-chan isn't allowed to die!" She proclaimed loudly, her childlike mind concluding that if she says it loud enough, it will not happen without her approval.

Sabre almost jumped on the spot out of fright as he saw her leap from the window, falling through the air before eventually landing on the poor, unfortunate soul who he'd been demanding an answer from not moments before. He winced slightly as he watched her crash upon the Marine, knocking him unconscious as she herself remained unharmed from the fall. But of course - she was far stronger than that. Still, without a hint of hesitation she'd suddenly gotten up from the spot and latched her arms around him, binding them tightly around his waist. Almost immediately he'd brow twitch violently again, throbbing like a bad migraine. Dammit, he badly needed those cigarettes. He was so close. The money was just in his office. But Sophia just. Wouldn't. Let. Go. Her cheeks nuzzled into his chest as she made a cat-like noise, causing the Captain's face to go a slight shade darker of red as he shook his head. Whether it was from being flustered or irritated was difficult to decide.

The lack of tobacco in his system was definitely having an effect on him. Keeping up that facade of self-control was now slipping, an arduous task as his body begged for some tobacco. Her barely covered body was hardly something he could face right now. But regardless, he had to deal with it for the moment - thankfully, reminding himself of her childishness suppressed that. Still, all of a sudden she seemed to react to something after sniffing his distinctive scent, apparently noticing something off. She began muttering something about his smell being weird before turning her vision upwards towards him, causing his features to twist in confusion as he stared back down, only for her to suddenly release him, her arms waving madly through the air before she caught hold of his shirt again, pulling at it whilst shouting something about him dying. His entire body twitched that time.

"I'm not dying!" he told her at once, deciding to settle that problem as quickly as possible. "Moreover, why the hell do you think I'm dying?!" he wondered aloud, trying to figure out how she'd jumped from his scent to his death so quickly. Honestly, half the time he couldn't half the things she said. The other half of the time he was more concerned with what she was doing. What he would give to learn how the hell she thought for once in his life. Hopefully then he'd understand. Still, he had to look out for her. He was the good Marine Captain, the one taking care of her. She was his Lieutenant. But damn if she didn't prove to be an annoyance every other day of his life. "Honestly, I need a cigarette..." he mumbled under his breath, not even considering that that may have had something to do with it.

“Huh?” She only voiced, looking up at him and blinking her eyes rapidly up at him, the water that began to fill her eyes, making them look glossy, but no tears escaped, instead is stubbornly clung to the corner of her eyes. “B-but...” She stuttered and began patting his chest again, “But you don't smell like you!” She said, Sophia could clearly see the irritation in his eyes but choose to ignore it, like she usually did. That was usually meant fun was going to happen, but Sabre could be dying! He didn't smell the same, thus he must be slowly dying, it was the only logical explanation!

The other marines watched the scene most in amusement and others looking like they wanted to hit there head against the nearest surface in an attempt to understand the young woman. Even those that had children, and could briefly understand a child's mindset, could not grasp Sophia's. Her logic made no sense...at all. Sometimes she acted more animal then human, but even then it still didn't make sense!

“Sabby-chan always smell like his cigarette smoke! Always! Now...now its fading, meaning Sabby-chan is going to die!” She explained, trying to have him understand her logic...no matter how flawed it was. She hiccupped, she didn't want Sabby-chan to die! Hearing him mutter about having a cigarette, a lightbulb went off in her head. That's right, if Sabby-chan had his cigarettes, they would cure him! Simple as that! They were what was keeping the male alive!

Turning to the nearest marine she looked at him with serious brown eyes, “You!” She said, pulling away from Sabre, to stand before the marine, who jumped from her sudden attention upon him, “Go and get Sabby-chan's cigarettes, buy all that you can!” She barked, placing her hands on her hips. And despite her being in an apron with white shorts, she was looking rather intimating. “Y-yes ma'am!” The marine shouted before scrambling for the door.

"Right. I don't smell like myself, so I'm going to die. I see. That makes perfect se-Why in the world would my lack of my usual scent mean I'm about to die?!" he wondered, honestly struck clueless by her comments. Really, he wished he had an English - Sophia dictionary or something. It would probably save him and his men a lot of hassle - even just glancing out of the corner of his eye, he could see half of the guys laughing in amusement and the other half banging their heads against the nearest vertical wall. Turning his gaze back to her, he listened closely in hopes that somewhere, she would say something that would make even a little bit of sense and explain the whole situation. Indeed, he got an explanation, just not a very logical one - Her reasoning, apparently, was that since he was losing his cigarette smoke smell, he must be slowly dying as it faded. He resisted the urge to let his palm meet his face and settled with shaking his head.

However, apparently getting some bizarre idea in her head, she suddenly released him and rushed to a nearby Marine. At once Thorpe immediately strode after her, about to tell her to wait before she blurted out to the Marine that she was ordering him to go buy Thorpe as many of his favorite brand as possible. At first, he managed to keep up the charade of logical superior he worked so hard to maintain. "Sophia, enough, I'm not-" but he stopped himself. All of a sudden, deep down, the chain smoker within was pulling at his heartstrings and begging him to, just this once, let this happen. The desire for a cigarette, for some semblance of tobacco smoke was too irresistable. Against his better judgement, he spoke. "Oh, just go! You heard the Lieutenant's orders!" he told the Marine, who immediately rushed off to follow the bizarre order, a little more confused than outright scared now.

At the same time, everyone present stared in a catatonic state of shock. He, Captain Sabre Thorpe, the serious, diligent, hard-working Marine had agreed with something the Lieutenant had said. Whole-heartedly. They were expecting the sky to fall any minute now. At the same time, even Sabre himself was more than a little surprised by the outburst. "... Tch, the hell're you looking at?" he spoke back to his subordinates, who quickly stopped staring and went on back to their jobs, not wishing to ignite the Captain's ire at this point in time. They knew better than to let him get annoyed with anything when he was running low on cigarettes. The last time they did... Well, they were still only getting half of their usual dinner and twice the distance in their morning jog across the Mangroves. That had been a bad day. Still, even Sabre acknowledged the bizarreness of the situation. "... I can't believe I actually did that..." he muttered under his breath.

While the grunts were in shock from Sabre agreeing to what Sophia said, the woman in question was in shock as well as she stared at Sabre. He...agreed with her...for the first time in...forever!He must be worse off then she thought! Her arms flailed through the air as she looked to the retreating Marine's back, “HURRY! SABBY-CHAN IS WORSE THEN WE THOUGHT!!” She shouted, her eyes almost literally taking up half her face now.

Turning back towards Sabre with large eyes she clung to his shirt. His breathing at the moment seemed fine, it wasn't increasing or decreasing, it was actually rather nice and even, so they still had some time! Reaching up, she placed the back of her hand against Sabre's forehead, her brows furrowed together in concentration. Maybe he was delusional? That would explain on why he agreed with her instead of going against it like he usually did, however, Sophia couldn't remember any fatal illness', except maybe the flu is untreated, that had someone delusional like that. To her relief- or maybe horror?- Sabre's temperature felt perfectly fine as well!

A whimper escaped her as she buried her face in his shirt, trying to see how long Sabre had. She inhaled deeply, taking in his scent that she had associated with comfort and essentially home and tightened her hold on his clothing. “Don't leave...Sophia will be a good girl...” She mumbled, a flash of a man entering her mind. Handsome, young, she felt great affection for him, yet at the same time a vast amount of hatred. His appearance quickly changed, blood covered his form as wide eyes stared blankly in one direction, forever locked in fear and horror.

“I-I got them!”

And the face quickly vanished as it had appeared, broken from the stuttering Marine, holding numerous amounts of Cigarettes within his arms.

Okay, this time he couldn't restrain himself and allowed his hand to smack his forehead, groaning as he listened to the green-haired woman's cries for the Marine to hurry up. Apparently he couldn't even agree with her about something without her taking it as a sign of the apocalypse, or in this case his death at least. At once she began checking his breathing, before suddenly raising her hand to his forehead, pressing her palm firmly against his head to check if he was sick. He sighed, letting her do it anyway. Geez, it seemed like he couldn't do anything today without her taking it like he was dying. Apparently satisfied with checking his temperature, she burrowed her face into his chest. When she started whimpering, apparently genuinely scared he might die, he sighed, his features softening slightly. "Dammit, after this I'm teaching you biology..." he mumbled before letting a hand pet her head. "Hey, I'm not dying, alright? So just relax" he whispered to her.

She suddenly stopped as the stuttering of a Marine came within hearing range of the two, causing the Captain to cast his gaze upon the Marine. Quickly, he strode forwards, past Sophia, knowing the best solution to this problem as he snatched one of the packets from the top, popped the little box open and grabbed a cigarette from the box, placing it between his lips as he grasped hold of the lighter in his pocket with his other hand, flicking it open and igniting it, a small flame held up to the end of the cigarette. Once more as it was lit, he closed the cap on the lighter, put it back in his pocket and took his first drag of a cigarette in the past two hours. Exhaling the smoke, he sighed, relaxing again as his face returned to it's stone-like, stoic look. Captain Sabre Thorpe was back, no longer the ill-tempered, twitchy smoker desperate for a smoke he was a few seconds ago. He turned back towards his Lieutenant with that same stony face, wisps of smoke rising in the air.

"There, is that alright? I'm having a smoke. I'm not dying anytime soon" he told her sarcastically, though she probably wouldn't even notice it. At least that was one thing finally settled, though he knew he still had to deal with some other problems - such as her lack of clothing beyond the apron and shorts. It wasn't like she could just run around like that, after all. At the same time, the rest of the Marines relaxed, knowing that their boss had managed to calm himself down with the smokes and was back to his ordinary self.

Sophia hummed when she felt him patting her head, something that she was use to. He usually used that gesture as comfort for her, especially when she'd crawl into his bed at night because of a nightmare. Of course he grumble and complain, but in the end he did make room for her and let her crawl into his bed, then bitch about her cold feet which always made her giggle, then settle down and run a comforting hand on her head, which never failed to calm her down and send her off to sleep.

The scent of his brand of cigarettes reached her nose and a wide smile spread across her lips, looking at his face, she could tell that he was more relaxed, and most importantly, his scent was back, with full force. Sabre wasn't going to be dying anytime soon! Phew, they really dodged the bullet with that one, now she just had to makes sure that his little smell sticks were never too far away from him ever again! That way, Sabre will still live and still yell at her for being a moron! Perfect plan!

Giggling happily and hugged Sabre properly this time, nuzzling his chest, and taking in his full scent with much happiness, and this time allowing a small purr of pleasure to escape her. All better...Sabre was all better now, was the only thought on her mind at the moment. Of course this left with the rest of them, a nice view of Sophia's slender bare back, covered in a few scars, which leading down to her behind being covered by small white shirts to finally, her long bare legs.

There were somethings that they just had to admire after all.

After a moment's pause to enjoy his cigarette, making sure Sophia was alright, he caught the gazes of his Marines staring at the green-haired woman and decided to rectify a certain problem quickly. "Sophia" he spoke, sighing. As endearing as her childishness could be at times, she was a grown woman, not a child. He really just wished he could help her be more mature. Maybe then he wouldn't have to deal with her insane ravings of how he was going to die. Taking another drag of his cigarette, he stepped back a bit, placing a hand on her shoulder as he pointed back towards the base. "I need you to put on a top. An apron on it's own isn't going to cut it. I don't care if it's those green rags of yours - just so long as it's something covering you, okay?" he spoke, attempting to reason with her to get her to put on something that covered her better than an apron she got from the chefs. Speaking of which, he made a mental note to check the kitchen later, make sure nothing too drastic happened.

Turning towards the base, he attempted to take her by the hand and lead her back to her room. Not that he doubted she knew the way, but... Well, he had no better way of making sure she'd actually follow him back to her room and do it. Knowing her, she'd probably try to run free and make a game out of making him and the men chase her all across the base. This certainly wouldn't be the first time he ever had to do so. At the very least he'd relaxed somewhat thanks to the cigarette. He fingered the box in his pocket, feeling secure knowing he had them by him again. Oh, how he would deal with this job without them he would never know. He'd probably have to start drinking booze, despite his distaste for alcoholic drinks. Smoking was the only 'vice' he wanted to be affiliated with, after all.

Sophia blinked up rapidly at the other, before looking down at the apron she had that was decently covering her. Frowning slightly, she picked up the edges of it, thankfully she had enough sense to where her shorts. For some strange reason, it always stuck to her brain to where something to covered her private part down there, however no matter how many times Sabre shouted-or anyone else for that matter- she always seemed to forget to cover her top half. Her excuse was that the other marines didn't half too, which yes some did take off there shirts, as they were training in the hot blazing sun!

Smiling widely up at Sabre she nodded her head, “Okay!” She chirped, after all Sabre had a brush with death today! She should be a good girl...for a few hours anyway. She didn't fight or whine when Sabre's hand grasped hers, but rather hummed happily following after him. After awhile though, she released a giggled and with a small jump forward, grasped their holding hands with her free one, smiling brightly, “Sophia is so relieved that Sabby-chan isn't dying!” She said giggling, before humming again and beginning to softly swing there hands back and forth.

“Sabby-chan...Is Sophia's most precious person.” She muttered, her eyes softening at there linked hands, before moving forward and wrapping her arm around Sabre's, “Sabby-chan's not allowed to die ok?” She tilted her head so that it rested on his arm, “Sophia...would be broken...” The smile slipped from her lips before it was replaced with another smile as she let go of Sabre's arm and skipped forward, to the door of her room, “Sophia will change real quick, ok?” And not waiting for his answer slipped inside her room, pulling off her apron as she did so.

For once, Sophia seemed perfectly content to walk along with him, following him closely as he walked her back to her room so that she could get changed. He wasn't sure who to thank for this miracle that she was behaving, though he figured it would change quickly enough. Inhaling some of the smoke, he turned a glance towards her, watching her give a little jump as she clasped his hand in hers, practically beaming. Turning back, he exhaled, only to hear her suddenly begin to speak again, mentioning how glad she was to know that he wasn't dying anymore. Ah, so that was it. He should have guessed. She was being nice because she genuinely thought he might die. Yet since he was smoking again, she was now back to her normal, merry mood, humming a tune as she walked along with him. He sighed - Honestly, he didn't want to worry her, but he seriously needed to teach her a few facts of life.

Suddenly however, he heard her mumbling under her breath about how he was the most precious person in her life. He almost froze for a second, genuinely taken aback by this statement as she took a hold of his arm, resting her head against his shoulder as he continued to walk forwards so that she wouldn't be worried by the sudden stop. He didn't know what to say to that, but it had not ended there - Seconds later she added that, had he died, she would be broken. Broken. There was that word. Such a simple word, yet it carried such a depth to it to hear it come from her mouth. However, before he could form a reply to her, she'd suddenly recovered her happy, childish attitude and skipped along into her room, releasing him as she closed the door and began to change. After a moment of silence, Thorpe sighed, resting against the wall outside as he smoked his cigarette.

"Idiot... I didn't do anything. I just brought you somewhere you could be safe" he murmured, remembering that day, when a killer named 'Satsu' had been at the center of a massacre and he, a newly appointed Captain, had been sent to deal with the problem. However, when he arrived, Satsu was not there - only a young, green-haired woman with a child-like innocence. Out of sympathy he brought her to Marineford, expecting her to be safe there, only for her to go and join the Marines and end up becoming his Lieutenant. He hadn't intended it, but she ended up following him all this way since that day. Always by his side. For a moment, the comment she made almost made some sense, but he was reluctant to consider his 'rescue' of her little more than his duty. The creed of Swift Death to Evil. His creed. His promise to bring this Age of Piracy to it's grave. His promise to protect everyone within his reach.

"I don't know why you're so grateful... I'm just one guy, trying to do a job" he muttered, awaiting her return as he took another drag of his cigarette.

Sophia leaned back against the closed wooden barrier between them, the green hair of her bangs, shadowing her eyes. Her lips trembled slightly before they parted to release a breath of air. She raised her arms and wrapped them around herself, in a parody of a hug. She owed a lot to him, the man that had helped her, in more ways then he probably knew. Raising her head slightly, her more narrowed and mature eyes gazed at the blank spot among her messy room. He helped her so much...cared for her when she knew her child side of her was nothing more then a pain in the ass. She knew he did it out of duty...but she liked to think it was more then that.

Turning around briefly to look towards the door, she gave it a soft smile, “You'll call me an idiot...but...you are my god.” She muttered with great affection. Sophia had much affection for Sabre, she had no trouble placing him on a higher pedestal. She wasn't sure if it was love though, the last time she thought she loved someone...

Sophia pulled her hand away from the door and placed in upon her flat stomach with a sad expression twisting her features. Without Sabre's knowledge, one day, she went to the doctor, and asked him about what the status that her womb was in. Apparently from the traumatic event that she had suffered while carrying the unborn child, made it rather impossible for a fertilized egg to attach itself to the walls of her uterus and thus would be aborted naturally. The chances of her getting pregnant were now very slim to none.

Wandering over to the laundry pile in a corner, she simply picked up a pale yellow t-shirt, one that didn't stick to her large breasts, because truthfully, Shai had bought this for Sabre for his birthday, thus was in his size, but being true to her name, she got much too shy and flustered to even give him his gift. Tugging it on over her head, she giggled softly as it fell to about mid-thigh on her, hurrying back to the door, she grasped the handle, before taking a deep breath.

Then excitedly she pulled the door open and jumped at Sabre, “Sabby-kun!” She cried wrapping her arms around his torso and nuzzling his chest, much like what the younger Sophia would do. Infact the acting was nearly flawless...nearly being the keyword.

Sabre sighed as he waited by the door for the woman to change, taking a drag of his cigarette. How long had he known her now? He wasn't quite sure. It had been a while, at least. Ever since that day when he had been sent out, tasked with chasing down and slaying a mass murderer who had been in the area. Many bodies were to be found - of innocents caught up in a violent sea of blood they never wanted a part of. People died and he was the one tasked with putting an end to it - by cutting down the killer with the blade he held that represented the Justice he followed so well. But he'd never had to - she had disappeared, gone forever, replaced by a young woman whose childish nature had made him take pity. As expected of a man doing his duty, he took her with him and gave her a shelter. But then she had gone and become a Marine, following close after him. Since then, they'd been together through so much.

He'd always be trying to get work done, sailing across the ocean and doing his job, whilst she always giggled and played around and played games with him, frequently riling him up but never really making him angry - it was difficult for him to ever be angry with her. He just couldn't - Everytime he stared into her face, regardless of how annoyed he was or how angry he wanted to be, he'd always melt. It wasn't because she was cute or good looking, but she'd always had those eyes - those eyes of someone who loved the world, an innocent pair of eyes like the child she acted like. Something that wouldn't be found in a pair of eyes like his, which had seen tragedy and death and knew a burning hatred. He tried so hard to keep up his way of Justice and though he refused the absolutes of the World Government, his hatred of Pirates was deep. She, on the other hand, thought they were playing a game of cops and robbers no doubt.

He sighed. He was getting too emotional about this. They were Captain and Lieutenant. Nothing more. He was just doing his duty. He didn't have to care for her so much, but he was just being a nice guy. The door creaked open, and as expected he saw the green-haired woman smiling through, wearing a yellow t-shirt. With her infamous cry she sprung towards him, wrapping her arms around him and keeping her head close to his chest. But something was different. The nickname she usually spoke so freely... It was still as excited as ever, but it seemed as though just a tiny part of her was almost... Embarrassed to say it? Nah, she couldn't have been, but... "So, Sophia, are you alright now?" he asked, raising a brow as he let out a breath of smoke, knowing how she wouldn't mind it.

Sophia tilted her head up towards him, and blinked her large brown eyes up at him in a perfect act of perplexed, “Sophia wasn't alright before?” She asked him, before scrunching her brows together in an act of remembering. While the Sophia currently in control knew perfectly well what Sabre meant, the younger Sophia wouldn't, given that she has such a short attention span. She was childish in every sense of the word.

Keeping up the 'thinking' face for awhile longer, she then shrugged and nuzzled Sabre's chest affectionately, “Sophia cannot remember!” She declared rather proudly, before sighing in contentment. It wasn't often that she was out and when she was it was often on the battlefield. She really didn't get to spend time with Sabre regrettably, but she did watch how the two acted through the eyes of the younger Sophia. It was cute...and sometimes made her envious.

Smiling contently, she tightened her grip around him slightly, but not enough to cause him pain. “Ne, Sabby-kun...” She began, pushing up more against him as her nervousness settled in, “Do you want...Sophia to grow up?” She asked softly, angling her head so that she was looking away from his face when she said this, she was sure that he would point out that her eyes were too serious at the moment.

“Is Sabby-kun...curious as to how Sophia would be all grown up?” Would he be curious about her? Would he...like her as much or even more as her younger half? Or would he just...push her away now that she was thinking like the other marines? Her eyes watered slightly from that thought, “If Sabby-kun is going to push Sophia away, then Sophia is never going to grow up!” She said loudly, before burying her face in his uniform. “Sophia...doesn't want to be alone again...” She whimpered.
