Sidestepping quickly, Sabre swiftly succeeded in evading another shot from the pistol, only for the enemy's blade to come crashing down, forcing him to raise his guard to deflect the blade. But as their blades remained locked, pressed against each other, the Pirate took aim again, firing. This time the pirate had been successful - the shot echoed through the scene and blood escaped Sabre's first wound of the fight. His right shoulder had been pierced through, the crimson liquid dripping down his form. With his left hand he quickly clasped a hold of the hand the Pirate held his pistol in, a deep-seated glare piercing into his eyes. Pushing the blade aside, Sabre's arm twisted in and the pommel of his sword smashed into his temple, stunning the Pirate and sending him to the ground as his body shook. But keeping a firm hold of the Pirate's wrist, the Marine Captain was not merciful in the least - As the man fell, he let his blade plunge downwards and pierce the Pirate Captain's stomach through. As the man howled unbearably, many of the crowd suddenly turned to watch the Marine.
Releasing the man's hand at last after having wrestled the pistol out of his hand, tossing it aside, his right hand pulled on the Justice Coat he wore and cast it aside, refusing to let his own blood stain it further. Twisting the blade in the man's gut, he elicited a pained cry from the man. "Do you smell it yet, Pirate?" Sabre asked almost casually as his voice remained stoic and calm. However, to look in his eyes, one would be very frightened - if anything, the Pirate Captain's expression was evidence of this. "This is only a fraction of the fear incurred by normal people. The mere mention of pirates sends a chill up the spines of the innocent civilians. People cower and bend to the will of pirates not out of choosing, but out of fear. So it is only fitting we Marines exist to instill fear in your kind, before sending you to a Hell on earth - Impel Down".
Tearing his blade out of the man's gut through his flesh, he proceeded to kick the wound, forcing more blood out. As the Pirate's crew attempted to close in on the Marine, Sabre was quick to descend into a crouch, suddenly becoming an incredible blur as he zipped through the crowd. Each man took a shot at him, but each was felled almost instantly by his swift blade. With four or five down, the Captain himself in far too much pain to respond, it appeared that defeat was imminent for the Pirates. Casting a glance back once his own enemies were felled, Sabre watched to see what had become of his own subordinates, all the while fishing for his Ko Den Den Mushi - he'd have the men give him a little treatment and take these men away. Then he'd go back to the safer districts and buy the girl some ice cream.
Not that he was eager to do so though - she'd be draining his pockets in moments.
