Toki did feel slightly guilty about making her feel bad about the situation. This was clearly someone trying her best with what she has despite everything. Still, action had to be taken and he was more than happy to assist in that regard. The tension that was in the room over the serious situations lowly began to disappear as plans were beginning to be made.
He was a little surprised when she held his hand in gratitude "O-of course. If it's within my abilities I don't see why I shouldn't offer some help!" Then, Mrs. Bentley offered them to stay the night and make preparations to keep watch over the fields. "Absolutely. I'm used to sleeping in the wilderness, so this won't be anything new for me. I'm ready to get things set up whenever everyone else is."
Toki couldn't help but notice in Yoshi's mannerisms and demeanor that he wasn't exactly thrilled with the idea and once he had the chance to talk to him, offered him an apologetic look "Yoshi I'm sorry if it feels like I dragged you into a situation you didn't want to be in. I can handle the work if you feel like it's something you don't want to be involved in, I'll understand." He said. Nothing would make him feel worse than dragging someone into something because of his tendency to offer his help at basically every opportunity.
Aside from that, he would begin going over how he could go about discovering the root of the problem. If it were insects that would be a little more difficult to discover without disturbing the fields. Rodents he could probably see just from regular patrols. He didn't want to rule out the possibility that it could be something else entirely, though. Either way, he smiled at Yoshi "Whatever your decision, I'll respect it. Make your own choices, live your own life. People can't be expected to do everything all at once all the time, you know?"
