Myles tilted his head curiously.
“A bunny hunter? That is the first.”
The large man gave him a playful smile, its true. He wouldn’t have assumed Tokki was a hunter given his demeanor. The man didn’t seem to carry a bow or a gun or a sling. Weapons usually used by hunters. Not to say that Myles was all too familiar with how hunting worked… but he had a general vision of what a hunter should be.
“Ah, Flat-Farm? I was planning on going there next. Sad to hear there was some trouble… it sounded like a genuinely peaceful place.”
As he said that he witnessed Tokki lighting up a fire. The sparks quickly lit up the dry brush used as kindling. Soon a big flame lit up the now dimming landscape around them. Myles put his hands forth warming them up. The chill of the desert was beginning to creep up now that the sun was beginning to set in the horizon… the sky picturesque taking on hues of orange, red, and purple. It was truly beautiful.
“Mmm… I don’t think it’s arrogant. Ambitious, maybe. But not arrogant. It's good you have your heart set on doing good… I mean you’re using your freedom of choice to bring good into the world.”
Myles lifted his eyes up to meet Tokki’s, his purple eyes piercing through the mink before him. A lot of people used their free-will to hurt others. To be selfish. It was obvious the mink before him wasn’t such a person.
“It sounds like you have a dream. What is life… without dreams eh?”
It was true! Dreams are what make men. They are things that give you the spirit and drive to fight for something worthwhile. Sadly, not all dreams were good. Some were in fact evil or devious. Myles shifted his eyes away from Tokki, the people who ran the world likely had dreams. Those who founded the four pillars which hold together the world itself likely had dreams and aspirations. But look at what they built. A flawed system whether by accident or intention.
