Francis #8
The former and perhaps future innkeeper tilted his head to the side, when Wilhelmina mentioned, that she was a singer, although her music probably wouldn´t be for his taste.
“Hey, I am not that old you know.”
Francis laughed, the sound distantly resembling the barking of a dog rather than natural human laughter.
“I had many metal albums on vinyl back home. Although have to say, I never heard about you.”
He admitted after a moment, as his future boss talked about her plans for the future.
“So we are basically building adventurers, guild, with hotel and restaurant? The soil is quite good here, so we could probably start growing our own food lately, but still, we will need to establish some trade…Yeah, that´s fine with me.”
The brewmaster nodded, staying silent for a while as he was thinking about something.
“Place like that will need some waitresses, I might…”
He didn´t finish, as one of the workers hired by Wilhelmina suddenly rushed into the room, gasping for air.
“Boss! Boss! We…. have…a problem!”
He screamed, trying his best to catch his breath.
“Something…monster…it attacked…stole food…down….”
Already alerted, Francis grabbed his shoulder, pulling that man´s attention towards himself.
“Hey, breath, what kind of monster? What happened?”
The worker, pale as if he saw death itself, shook his head, breathing in and out, before continuing.
“I don´t know man. It was tall, slender, and hairy, with sharp teeth and claws. It jumped out of the sea, knocked out Tedd, grabbed a box with salted meat, and disappeared into the forest.
Frowning, Francis turned to Willy, already transforming into a large, wolf-like creature to enhance his smell.
“Whatever it was, I can probably track it down. But dunno about fighting. Grand Line is full of weird things.”
It wasn´t fear that was in his voice, but rather question, if she has his back in this or not.
