They'd gone their separate ways after heading out from Maria's house, but that was to be expected. A shame, given how interesting Amasagi had been, to be sure, but she'd made her choice - and forcing the issue wasn't really Jaz's style. The young woman shifted the barrel she had her arm partially wrapped around with the shoulder she was seemingly resting it on as she whistled an aimless tune, navigating her way down the docks toward where a simple, small sailboat had been secured for the past couple of days.
She drew a healthy number of curious looks, between her eclectic fashion and the oversized barrel she was carrying, but no one seemed to be able to meet her eye when she acknowledged them with a wave or wink either. Baterilla had been a lovely stop, the whole deal with having to take down a crime lord aside. If circumstances had been different, it would've been a fantastic potential vacation spot; the sunny weather and gorgeous locales certainly made it ideal for that sort of thing, and Jaz couldn't help but reflect on how lucky the locals were to live on such a lovely island. Well, again, crime aside.
It took her only a hop to get up into the boat she'd arrived to the island on, though it certainly should have been a much more awkward one considering the weight of the barrel the young woman was carrying - if it were a factor at all, at least. Setting the barrel down caused the boat to suddenly lurch, dipping down into the water before rising again as it started to settle. Jaz dusted her hands off as she took stock of her newfound stockpile of supplies; a collection of newly-filled barrels and crates that would be enough to see her through to whatever her next destination would be, even if it took longer than a week or two.
Various boxes were ticked off of a mental checklist: Food, check. Water, check. Rope, cloth for any repairs to the sail that might need done, planks for a similar purpose but for the wooden parts of the boat, all checked. Some new reading material to keep her entertained through the dull stretches, also check. She smiled to herself and pulled her hair tie out to run her hands through her hair, only to pull her hair back and up again to tie it back into her usual ponytail once more. "Alright, everything's in order," she said, speaking her thoughts aloud to no one, "so the only thing left is..."
A glance cast toward the ropes securing her sailboat to the dock revealed something more interesting than the final task in setting off from the island in search of whatever part came next. Jaz moved over to the side of her little boat, leaning her elbows on the railing, and waved toward a now-familiar figure who seemed to be moving in her direction. "Yo, Amasagi! Did you come all this way to see me off~?"
