Sylas was able to yank his ankle out of the man’s grasp relatively easily before he stood up again, but his opponent somehow did so as well. The four armed man’s attention was divided between his attacker and Bella, seeing that she appeared to be taking a beating of her own in between the terror that she unleashed on her enemies. With ease, she took care of the fleeing man, just narrowly missing Mrs Milton herself, who hurriedly scrambled to her feet and ran out of the warehouse, alone.
"No!" Sylas was about to run out after her, but the man that made it to a standing position caught his attention once more. As the bodyguard rose from the floor, his body seemed to bulk up, his suit growing tighter.
“You’ve got to be kidding me…” Sylas uttered, quite unnerved as he realised what was happening - it seemed that Bella was right, people manipulating their hair in battle was very common here. His opponent was doing just that as his own body hair wrapped around his body to form some kind of interwoven protection that could only be described as hairy chainmail. The bulk of human hair around his wounded knee enabled the man to steady himself and put weight on it, but could clearly not bend it at all.
His leg completely rigid in its protective casing, the bodyguard balanced on one leg and spun around to kick Sylas back with the other.
“That is disgusting…” Sylas mumbled, repulsed by the very idea of what he was up against and perhaps that only motivating him to move fast enough as he quickly dodged the attack, not at all eager to come into contact with whatever sort of armour that was, wrapped around his opponent’s leg.
It was at this point that Bella was grabbed by the throat. “Bella!” In an attempt to protect the girl, Sylas immediately lunged at her aggressor and grabbed his shoulder, but could do little more than that before he had to let go again, as his own attacker was about to punish him for being distracted. As hair wrapped around the man’s hand, he took a hefty swing Sylas with a fist the size of a boxing glove.
Sylas turned around to try and defend himself against the massive punch, releasing the other man’s shoulder and leaving Bella to fight for herself, but the impact was stronger than he expected. As the hairy glove pushed through not one, but two of Sylas’ arms that had been raised to protect himself, it proceeded to slam into the poor man’s jaw and sent him staggering and nearly falling over.
In a fraction of a second, all of his concerns raced through Sylas’ mind as he weighed his options. First and foremost, Mrs Milton was getting away… he couldn't have that. Secondly, Bella was in danger, and he couldn't allow harm to come to her either, though a part of him was sceptical that it would. Thirdly, Bella’s attackers were also in danger as it seemed that the savage of a girl was less likely to leave anyone alive with that huge sword of hers, which meant there would be no possibility of questioning any of these people to find out information about Bishop… Prompted to act fast, Sylas kicked off the ground and charged at his enemy with incredible speed, leaning forward to ram into his waist and lift the man in his four arms. In one swift motion, he swung him overhead and slammed him into the ground with all his strength.
Sylas assumed that he would have enough protection all over his body to prevent any serious damage being done, but it was enough to disorient the man and buy Sylas some time. He needed to catch Mrs Milton, who had been allowed to run free since her escort was impaled by Bella’s sword, rather than them being captured.
The next problem was Bella - despite her terrifying demeanor, he could see that she looked awfully wobbly and he wasn’t sure leaving her here would be a good idea…
As he made a quick decision, he swiftly lifted her in two of his arms and made a run for the door, picking up her sword for her along the way to make sure it wouldn’t be stolen by anyone while they were gone. Once outside, he first checked the stairs they had come from - there was no way Mrs Milton could have run up those slippery steps so quickly and disappeared already, as she was nowhere to be seen, so that meant she must have run the other way, further into the dock market. As Sylas spotted her in the distance, he stopped his running in an abrupt moment, and suddenly leapt forward and upward into the air to the height of the warehouse rooftop.
In a matter of seconds, Sylas’ feet slammed into the concrete as he descended through the air and landed right in front of Mrs Milton, Bella and her sword in his grasp. Stepping out of the cracked craters in the slabs of concrete where his feet crashed into the ground, he turned to face Mrs Milton and gently put Bella down.
“Where’s Bishop?”
Mrs Milton, shaken to her core was frozen in horror until she collapsed to the ground, her mouth open in fear of the pair who somehow fought off five trained bodyguards.
“I… I-I… I don’t know! I don’t know w-where he is!” The woman stuttered, “Please don’t hurt me! H-He said you might come, but I don’t know where he is!”
