Alice took the money as it was handed over to her more out of reflex than anything else. It took her a moment to process that Myles had just handed over all of his money to her. Well, if he felt more comfortable with her hanging onto it, then she didn’t mind. Shrugging to herself, Alice tucked it down into her breasts for the time being. They wouldn’t lose it that way at least. Money tucked away for the time being, Alice looked back up at Myles as he explained his idea.
Fighting at dojos for money? There were certainly worse ideas. She rubbed her chin thoughtfully. Dojos seemed a little pretentious though… and there was no guarantee that they’d be able to beat up any random dojo owner on the Grand Line easily. Still, Alice didn’t want to burst the baby boy’s bubble. He looked so excited at the prospect that whatever words of protest that had been building up in her head just melted away. She smiled and shook her head at him.
“Seems like ya got your heart set on it, sugar plum. Just remember to stay sharp, alright?” Alice chuckled, patting his head as he leaned down to look at her on eye level, “We’re in the Grand Line, so don’t underestimate anyone. And we’re not doin’ it if a Marine runs the place, got it? We don't want to go too crazy.”
With the ground rules set in place, Alice felt a little more comfortable. To be honest, she wasn’t very comfortable drawing attention by participating in a brawl without an escape plan figured out, but they needed the money. She rubbed the bridge of her nose tiredly. This wasn’t a great spot for either of them, but at least they had something in the way of a headstart on any possible pursuers from Kabukimono. That said, they needed to get the heck out of here as soon as possible.
Lifting her eyes from the ground, Alice spotted what looked to be a particularly pretentious dojo down the street. She smirked up at Myles and jabbed her thumb over at it.
“Think they’ve got money?”
