Lea felt far too relaxed at the moment to care about her responsibilities but she could spare her ear for at least half of what Harley had to say. As for the tarp suggestion, it was an interesting proposition. The tot sat upright and slowly rubbed her temple with both fingers, squinting at the area in question. "That might not be such a bad idea actually." Lea hummed as she thought over what else to add to this place but the train of thought escaped her. Perhaps she was too tuckered out from all the prior building and planning.

"Ahhh. Oomph." She plopped her soft head on the ground and exhaled. "We got most of the place set up but mmm there's not much to do around here with just the two of us eh?" Lea turned over and held her head up with her hand as she looked up at the behemoth boulder. A grin slowly formed across her face she narrowed her eyes in smug fashion. "Heyyy, what do you say we play around til the goobers get back? We got a pretty open space and it's not like anyone's out here right?" 

The flattest lass sprang to her feet - which fortunately wasn't high enough to disrupt the tent - and began to stretch her muscles. "I've been neglecting to practice any killer moves since we left that Barbara island. Maybe you can show me some of yours and give me some ideas." Lea walked out the tent and into a open part of the clearing before putting her hands up for a proper brawling. "What do you say, Riot? First blood wins~"

"What do you say, Riot? First blood wins~"

Harley raised her head off the ground to stare over at Lea, one eyebrow raised in a silent question. But rather than voice it, she just sat up off the ground and grinned. "So, you want a rematch, 'Super Sponge'?" The mountain popped up onto her feet - and the tent's luck ran out, caught on Harley's head and shoulders as she stood up. She tore it off and threw the tarp to the ground, looming over the blue-haired gal in front of her. "Hope you're ready, 'cause here we go!"

"What's the matter, Ms. Sayuri?"

The one-eyed swordswoman turned back to the girl, who had gotten off ahead of her a little ways in the time Sayuri had stopped to look back the way they'd come. "... It's nothing. I just... I don't know, I got this feeling that they were doing something stupid. It's probably nothing, though. It's not like there's really anything for them to mess up out in the woods?"

"Is," Holly started, but stopped to consider the next few words before she said them. "Is that something you need to be worried about?"

Sayuri's expression could only be described as strained - a mildly pained expression on her face as she caught up with the little doctor. "Mm. Mmmmmm."

"GUH!"

"GAH!"

"BLUH!"

"BAH!"

"AAAH!"

"OOMPH!"

"PLEE!"

"STAH!"

For the first time in what felt like an endless eternity, Harley had finally ceased using her body as a drumstick to whack the ground with. For now, the Super Sponge, Lea, hung upside down by the colossal woman's grip groaning for a good while, mostly trying to ignore the nausea settling in her stomach from that joy ride. The brave warrior dangled freely in the air yet determined to never give up in the face of adversity, crossed her arms and stared heroically into her captain's crimson eyes. "You're going soft, Harls. All that pummeling and you still couldn't get a drop of blood out of me, tsk tsk. Looks the mighty Harley Riot isn't so tough after all!"

Lea guffawed with a bold laugh, clearly exaggerated as this entire exchange was nothing more than a simple game to pass the time. Nevertheless she proudly planted her hands at her hips and shook her head disapprovingly. "You're just lucky I didn't have any water nearby to get nice and thick for ya. Maybe it would've been a fairer fight but who knows." The mischievous little scamp tried to hold back a smile, obviously enjoying the opportunity to give her captain some witty banter without fear of meaningful consequence. It was quite ironic though, that the daintiest and least physically imposing member of the Riot Gang was the only one who could possibly endure everything its captain had to offer. But it was all in good fun after all, and enough fun was had for now. In the most perfectly timed way, Lea could feel the bubbling in her stomach overwhelming her desire for amusement.

"Um Harley? Playtime's over by the way, lemme down. I'm gonna - HGGH - I'm gonna - GLRGH!"

Lea's further taunts from her current position, hanging upside-down in Harley's grip, only served to get a self-assured grin from the brute. Sure, she hadn't spilled Lea's blood - well, really, all she'd been trying to do was maybe bloody the sponge's nose a little - but, then again, it wasn't as if anything had really changed since their first round back on that weird cactus mountain island.

"Hey, not my fault you didn't properly hydrate first," the massive woman shot back - and then the pleas to be let down started, paired with some nauseating noises burbling up from the blue lass's gut. Eager to not get vomited on, Harley obliged, leaving Lea to the whims of gravity.

With that done, she smacked the palms of her hands off each other and returned to looking over their camp area, and all the work still ahead of her. "Take a breather - I'm gonna start setting up for a bonfire."

Some hours later...

"... so that's why we're staying out here-" Sayuri's voice trailed off as she slowed to a stop, staring up at the orange glow against the dusk sky. If it weren't for the bags she was carrying - the few that didn't fit on the cart Guy was pushing along - she may have dragged a hand down her face in utter disbelief of what she was seeing. "Oh, they didn't."

A five minute walk confirmed that, no, it was exactly as she feared - a massive bonfire was visible even over the tall stone walls that ringed the clearing. The swordswoman sighed and led the way through the collapsed entrance to the camp, but gave herself no time to even begin inspecting the girls' handiwork. "Why the hell is there a giant fire?!"

The massive silhouette against the flames chucked something into the blaze before turning to face the quartermaster. "Oh hey guys! Sorry, we got tired of waiting for you, so we got the bonfire started without you."

As the embers rose into the sky, the sound of tribal drumming accompanied this picturesque scene bathed in fire. Lea, freshly changed into a tattered skirt and frilly crop top, hopped around the bonfire patting away at a makeshift drum. During Harley's preparation of the campfire, the attention deprived imp excitedly shouted about how this called for some celebratory music to accompany the momentous occasion. The rascal scurried into the Runner's shack to grab some raw hide lying around and stretched it over an empty hollowed log with leftover nails they saved up from pitching tents. Hours of arts and crafts ensued until the bluefoon managed to construct a somewhat decent excuse for a bongo drum.

"BOOM BOOMBOOM BOOM BOOMBOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM!!" played the spirited surfer in her own manic way. She was slapping the top of the drum with such intensity that she nearly failed to notice the rest of the party arriving through the ruined entrance. "Yo yo yo, Gang! What do you think of the vibes we putting out?" Lea danced in a circle around her three dumbfounded companions, oblivious as ever to the completely ridiculous situation they had put themselves in. Upon hearing Sayuri's complaint however, the sponge toned down the drumming to mere background noise and pouted at the woman's disapproval over their work. "Yeah, like Harley said! It's getting pretty dark outside, what did you want us to do? Besides, now we got a sweet fire for the cookout! Speaking of, who wants marshmallooows?~" Lea sang with a sweet voice as she drummed. An epic series of claps and slaps against the animal skin commenced until she slammed one last time for the finale and pointed to herself with a grin, "This guy!"

As she took this subsequent silence to observe her audience's reaction, Lea realized that maybe things weren't so hot after all. By the looks of Guy's twitching face, she assumed he was not too thrilled over her and Harley's management over the camp during their absence. She sighed and pointed towards him and muttered, "Yeah okay, you can have s'mores too, man." Surely that would win him over to their side, she thought.

"Oh yeah, there's an actual campfire too," Harley started, throwing a thumb over her shoulder in the direction of the more reasonably-sized fire, "for cooking and-"

"No, stop." The swordswoman dropped the few bags she was holding to pinch the bridge of her nose, and then gave a long, exasperated sigh. "This is... I... We're hiding, you two, which means-"

"Gonna have to stop you there, Sayuri."

Yet again, Harley loomed over her smaller crewmate - and though the air was hot in such proximity to the bonfire, there was a definite chill in the air that could be felt by anyone paying attention to the stand-off. The titanic boss of the Gang stood over Sayuri, arms crossed, glaring down at the smaller woman. "You've been worrying all this time, and stressing everybody out. At least for the rest of the night, no more. Got it?"

Sayuri stood stock-still, one eye locked with the intense red gaze fixed on her. A moment passed like that, and then something was pushed into her chest. The quartermaster looked down from her captain to find a dark, almost opaque amber bottle held there by one giant hand - and when she looked back up, the chilling glare was replaced by a jovial grin.

"Like my old lady used to say - drink, and be merry! Tomorrow's curses can't reach you tonight! Garararara!" Harley's rumbling laughter shook the camp as she dropped the bottle, forcing Sayuri to grab it before it fell to the ground, and returned to feeding logs to the bonfire.

"So, uh," Holly started, dragging a large bag stuffed with foodstuff even as she cast a look over at Sayuri, who was gently cradling the booze as she walked over toward the giant stump. "You said something about s'mores, Ms. Lea? We got everything we should need for those in town, so!"

Watching Harley finally put a stop to Sayuri's pessimism gave Lea a great sense of catharsis that couldn't be expressed in any other way except for a loud "WHOOP!" She raised both hands into the air and hollered like a rabid banshee as their captain put her foot down and told the stubborn swordsmistress to sit back and chillax. "That's right, Sayunibrow. Take a swig and cool off. Tonight's party time~"

As if reading her mind, Holly caught the bluenette's attention by dragging a bag of goods over to her with a reminder of their scheduled feast. She snapped her fingers in realization and smiled, "Hey yeah, thanks for the head's up kiddo!" Lea snickered as she tousled the child's hair into a disheveled mop before kneeling down to dig into the bag she delivered.

While the sponge was doing her own thing, the green giant made his move and began to carry his load of materials to the stump. For a moment he paused to inspect the crudely built staircase leading up to the bridge connected to the ship. The carpenter shook his head and sighed. "Why do we leave you two with the hard stuff?" He took one good look at his cart of materials and the spiral staircase it would take to get up there and shook his head. "I've had a long day. We'll do this some other time." The exhausted lad slowly returned to the normal-sized campfire where Lea had been skewering marshmallows on twigs and leaving them near the flames to cook.

As Guy took a seat by the fire - a stone slab courtesy of Harley - the little tot ran over to him with a precooked s'more in hand. "I already finished this one for you, eat up!" Guy was taken aback by this random act of kindness and obliged the tiny one's wishes by eagerly biting into the graham cracker covered marshmallow. "Mmmm, crunchy, chocolatey and creamy. Thank you, Miss Lea~"

As he continued to chow down on the snack, the smug sponge beamed at the compliment and chuckled. "It's my pleasure dude! Besides, y'all have been such busy bees today. I had to treat you, now time for seconds!" Before he knew it, Guy's mouth was being bombarded with another s'more while he had yet to finish his first. The oblivious runt continued to shove the food into the man's esophagus when she caught sight of Sayuri alone with her booze bottle. "Hey little miss perfect, do I gotta feed you some of my magnamalo's too?"

"MAR-CH-MALL-OCHS!" the choking catman struggled to correct.

Sayuri stared down at the bottle for a while, dead to the world - it was Lea's calling out to her that brought her back to reality. "Huh? Marsh.... Oh. No, I uh. I'd rather not start off with sugar, actually." She turned the bottle over in her hands, stared at it for another moment, and then popped the top off and took a few gulps from it.

Holly, meanwhile, sheepishly returned to the cart with a mouthful of marshmallows and climbed on in. "We also got some sausages and buns," she explained after she finished chewing, "so, I think... Might be a good idea to start with those?"

"Ooooo, what kind?"

The cart rocked as Harley suddenly charged over and started rifling through the bags of groceries and other supplies, causing Holly to fall over onto her butt. "Uh, well! I think they're mostly pork? Oh, and these ones have cheese in the middle, and..."

The one-eyed swordswoman dropped onto the crude stone bench across the fire from Guy, and took another swig from the large bottle she'd been given. She watched the fire for a bit - until a stick was pressed into her hand, bearing a speared sausage on the sharpened and scorched end, and Holly grinned up at her. "Here you go, this one's for you! You know how to cook over an open fire, yeah?"

Sayuri considered it quietly for a moment, and then cracked a smile and nodded. "Yeah, I should be able to work it out. Thanks, kid."

"Um, Ms. Sayuri?"

"Yeah?"

"Are you... Alright? You've had a lot to drink..."

"What are you talking about? I'm fine."

"Well, you say that, but..."

Sayuri shifted on Harley's lap, turning from hanging on the larger woman's arm to gesture at the Gang's newly-recruited doctor with the half-empty bottle of booze in her hand. "I am perfectly fine, thank you very much," she said, attempting to reinforce what she'd said not even a moment before. With that, she turned back to her captain, running her free hand through the mountain's black mane. "Man, how the hell do you keep your hair so nice, Harley? I thought it'd be, like, full of knots and stuff-"

"Does she seem a bit odd to you?" On the other side of the fiery circle, Guy watched from under his warm blanket the downward spiral Sayuri was slowly drifting into. He sipped from his mug of hot cocoa as the one-eyed lass began to admire Harley's lustrous black locks. A shade of pink could be detected over his cheeks as he attempted to hide it behind his cup.

Ignorant to the situation as ever, Lea was simply piling on foodstuffs atop each other and only barely heard what Sayuri remarked of their captain's hair. She replied, "Sayu-clops? Idunno. I'm just glad she's being a bit more open. She's had a stick up her butt the whole time we've known each other. Hey pass me that beer." 

Guy reluctantly obliged but carefully made sure to empty some of the bottle's contents before handing it to the lightweight lass. Good thinking on his part as immediately Lea chugged the container with a ferocious vigor before tossing it over her shoulder and releasing a hearty burp. "Oops, 'scuse me, hehe." The man looked between the two booze infused ladies and raised a brow at how the half-pint full of many pints was operating at full capacity despite the numerous drinks she had.

He leaned over to the girl assembling some abomination comprised of hot dogs, marshmallows, graham crackers, cheddar cheese and milk chocolate. The man nearly gagged as he asked her, "How are you not drunk right now? Miss Sayuri's already getting tipsy!" Lea looked at the lad with a bewildered expression and sneered. "Ehhh? Drunk? What do you mean? Have you really not noticed?" The woman then sat upright for the first time since working on her monstrosity and revealed the secret of sanity to the astonished gentleman.

"B-boobs." He stuttered. Lea grinned and nodded. "Boobs." To demonstrate her point, the absorbent full-pint took his mug of cocoa and took a full gulp of the scalding liquid. Before his eyes, the sponge's figure slowly but surely expanded and grew curvier by the second until finally she returned his cup empty and exhaled with a sigh of relief. "Whew, that was hot to get down! But you see my point?" Guy stared with wide, confounded eyes at Lea's freshly enlarged top and nodded.

"Good. Now help me get this mess into my mouth, the cheese's melting all over the marshmallows."

"I mean, I do try to take care of my hair?" Harley replied, and then popped a lightly on fire marshmallow into her mouth. "Might also be that my hair's just that good."

"Lucky," came the soft response. With that, Sayuri fell quiet, aside from the sounds of her drink moving about the bottle whenever she felt like taking another sip. Harley made no move to stop the woman from continuing to play with her hair, so they stayed like that, even as Harley moved about to put more food on the end of her two-pronged cooking stick.

A few minutes passed before the inebriated quartermaster sat upright a little and gestured around the campfire with her bottle. "We should probably talk about- The ship? And stuff?" Sayuri's eye fixated on the flickering visage of Guy through the heat of the campfire. "Told ya to leave it for when we got back, so..." She trailed off, and then tilted her head back to take another swig from the bottle.

"Oh yeah, any progress on getting us a ship?" After seeming to mellow out over dinner, and especially after Sayuri had sat herself down in her lap, Harley lit up again.

"I-is it in yet?"

"GRGHH...HNGARGHH...ARGGHH!"

"I'll take that as a no...Hm? The ship?"

Guy turned around to see his captain's enthusiastic face peering back at him. He blinked for a second, still unsure if it was him she was addressing until he noticed there was nobody else in view to reciprocate her question. "O-oh!" He stammered, clumsily dropping Lea and her three foot long s'mores filled cheesy hotdog along with her. "AHACH!! GAH AH!" the shortstack coughed up the submarine of questionable edibility and rubbed her sauce stained mouth through tears. "Oh thank the stars, I thought I was gonna choke on that thing!" She slapped the man's back in anger and shouted, "Hello, earth to Guy? Could you not hear me dying of Deadly Sandwich Syndrome?"

The carpenter cat hushed his tiny companion and gestured toward Harley as a sign of respect. "Miss Lea, please. Ahem." he cleared his throat before looking back to the giant woman with as much confidence as he could muster. "Well, Miss Riot, the ship is...coming along very soon! I had a few favors to cash in and what do you know, the fellas at the shipyard offered to build a decent framework for me to work my magic on." His eyes twinkled with pride upon delivering the good news but he wasn't finished yet. "Once we have the skeleton built, I can take  suggestions from you girls on any rooms you'd like to have? Suppose a library for Miss Sayuri, a medical room for Miss Holly, a gymnasium for you perhaps and a -"

"HOT TUB!!" exclaimed the radical surfer. Lea hopped into view between the taller crewmates and flailed her limbs like a spastic starfish. "JACUZZI! SAUNA! HOT SPRING!" The bubbly bluenette then carthwheeled in midair, laughing maniacally at the wonderful ideas she just presented. Unfortunately for her, Guy simply pinched the bridge of his nose and sighed a deep breath of frustration. "Yes, well...we'll see if we can squeeze in a recreational area once the essentials are finished." He looked back to Harley for any visible reaction or feedback to his plans and crossed his arms in a businesslike manner.

Harley nodded along as Guy talked about the progress on the ship, and continued as he talked about ideas for what they could add once construction had progressed. Lea's excited interjection got a grin from the captain, and then an outright laugh at Guy's frustration.

"Screw books, I want a bar. With some good drinks!" Sayuri held the bottle up into Harley's face and made a weird face. "This stuff is just okay, but I want good stuff. Like..."

"Like?"

Sayuri held her pose for a second, and then brought the bottle back down to her face and stared at the label. "... I dunno. Maybe some, like, sake or something. I'm telling you, Lea," she said, suddenly shifting her attention to the blue-haired lass across the way, "you should definitely have some good sake. Used to steal some from my dad, and we'd..."

Whatever the rest of that sentence was going to be was lost as the swordswoman resumed drinking. Harley laughed as Sayuri leaned back into her, and then returned her attention to Guy. "Well, I ain't one for interior design, or planning, or anything, but I'm sure we can work out what we need in it. Maybe talk about that tomorrow, when a certain someone is sober again?" She glanced down to Sayuri, but if the inebriated woman had any qualms with being talked about like she wasn't there, she wasn't showing it. "But that all sounds great, man! You're the best."

It was quite endearing to see Sayuri open up in her own way, even if it was through the influence of alcohol. As the Adder waved the bottle around like some belligerent drunk, Guy couldn't help but stifle a giggle seeing his proper crewmate devolve into a less than proper one. It was fortunate she didn't become a completely different person in this state, much more fortunate she did not join the likes of Harley and Lea when it came to their levels of debauchery.

Speaking of whom, the little runt in blue positively cracked up once she was regaled by Sayuri's invitation. Though that last part did catch her intrigue. "Sake? Sounds awesome! Bahahaha, I think I prefer you this way Saysay! Let's do this more often!" The lass raised her own bottle as cheers and chugged it down, gulping audibly to the disgust of her feline friend. Naturally, Guy squirmed and slightly scooted his butt away from the thirsty tot before catching what Harley had to say about his performance - something that gave him quite the shade of red in his complexion.

"O-oh, I er - thank you - I mean - you really don't need to haha - say that - and I uhh - HMMM!!" The gentle giant bowed down to poke his index fingers together and smiled, "Hehe...my pleasure."

Lea, who finally finished consuming the last drop of booze in her possession, gave one tap of her stomach and one pat on the man's back. She cackled with a drunken stupor at his bashful nature and squished her thumb in the gent's cheeks, taunting him in her own loving way. "Nyaww, Guy! You're so pink, that's sooo cute! Yer the best carpet turn ever! Hic~" The ecstatic sponge gave one last giggle of glee before falling face first into the grass and snoring through a muffled nose.

The timid titan took a second to process what the hell just happened until he decided not to bother and chuckled anyways. His eyes were then drawn to the starry night above, hinting him that maybe now was the time to close up shop. An enormous yawn left his equally gigantic jaw as he stretched one arm and used the other to pick up Lea from the dirt. "AAAAAA! Well, I believe now is the time for - h o o -  getting to bed. Do you need a few more minutes here, captain? I'll be taking Miss Lea aboard."

"Let's," Sayuri agreed, raising her drink in Lea's direction, and then downed the rest of the bottle.

"As your doctor, I don't know if I'd advise that...?" Holly shifted in her seat, holding a giant s'more she'd just constructed with both hands to keep it together. The swordswoman made a vague hand gesture toward the child and then upended the bottle over her head, looking to see if there were somehow a drop she'd missed.

The bottle was snatched from her hand, eliciting a whine from the Adder. "Alright, tomorrow's curses might not reach you tonight, but tomorrow's Sayuri will thank me for not letting you go any further." Harley laughed and set the empty bottle down beside her, out of reach of Sayuri. "There's some bedding over in the stump, so why don't you go lay down, Say?"

"Uuuuuuuuugh. Fine," she whined again, but slowly removed herself from Harley's lap and, after a moment to steady herself on her feet again, slowly moved over in the direction of the giant stump. But Sayuri froze in her tracks partway there, and looked back at those still gathered around the fire over her shoulder. "Hey, I think I love you guys? So, thanks. And g'night." And then she continued on her way, until she disappeared through the covered entrance into the stump.

As the light of the fire began to die and those sitting around it began to dwindle, a figure shifted on their perch in an attempt to work out the cramping in their calves without shaking the branch under them. It was only once the largest of the five people who had made their camp in the clearing stood, stomped out the remaining embers of the fire, and moved to turn in for the night that the figure on the branch allowed themselves to stand and stretch properly, before dropping silently down to the forest floor below...

"Hmmmmm..."

"Maybe some blue?"

"Maybe? Hm, hand it over," Harley said, reaching her hand out behind her back. A can was placed in it, which she shook and then pressed down on the nozzle, releasing a pressurized mist of blue paint, which she applied in quick arcs over the rock surface. After about a minute, she stepped away, next to Holly, and tilted her head to the side. "Oh yeah, the blue's nice. Good choice."

Sayuri stopped in her tracks behind the two girls, balancing the tub of dirty laundry she was carrying against her body. "And... What is it, exactly?" she asked, looking over what appeared to her to just be a splattering of brightly-colored paint sprayed over that particular section of the rock wall Harley had raised with no rhyme or reason.

"Well, you see..." The big brute held her hands out in front of her, pressing her pointer fingers against her thumbs to create a crude rectangular frame that she then held up to her eye - and then dropped them after a minute and turned to give the Adder a big grin. "I dunno, but it was fun!"

"Aaaand that's the last bandage! Huzzah!" Guy unraveled the last of his gauze wrappings in celebration of his near-completely recovery since the events of Arabara Island. The lad carefully attempted to stretch his limbs to check for any lasting damage and to his joy, found no such discomfort. Though he did find it took more effort to move the way he used to, possibly some dystrophy from being out of action for so long. Nevertheless, he could finally get to doing what he loved most, carpentry!

The lad did a mental count of how many days they'd been on the island seeing as how the fog and trees obscured most of the weather until nighttime. At which point the crew fell into drunken stupors around the campfire. The lad chuckled to himself at those fond memories. But enough leisure, time for some work! He kicked the door of the Runner's cabin open and took a heavy sniff of that outdoor air. "Ah. The wilderness really grows on you once you get used to it."

From the other side of the deck came a relaxed smug voice he knew all too well, "I'll say." The jubilant catman turned to greet his bluenette comrade when suddenly he came into eye contact with what she was wearing - or lack thereof. "M-M-M-MISS LEA!!? PUT ON YOUR CLOTHES!!" The all-too-comfortable amazonian remained sunbathing against the deck in a pair of sunglasses but did tilt her head just enough to take a look at the panicking gentleman. "Ehhh? What do you mean, these are my clothes."

"TH-THEY COVER UP ONLY THE PARTS THAT NEED NOT BE COVERED! PLEASE, HAVE SOME DECENCY!" The flustered, now steaming, carpenter shielded his eyes from the woman's body as he slowly walked toward her with one of his work cloths - large enough to cover her tiny frame. As he shook the fabric in front of her face, Lea swatted his hand away and laughed, "Oh pshaw! We're in the wild, cut loose, be free my dude!" Before she could rest her pretty head back on the floorboards however, the man bent down to whisper into her ear, "There are children here..." which seemed to finally get the point across. Guy scratched his chin curiously as he looked over the railing of the deck and saw exactly what she described. He tilted his head to process the picture before remarking, "Well uh...the blue looks nice."
