Gabriel #16
“Hard to say.”
He muttered.
“I don´t see any weapons, but he can be hiding them under that trench coat.”
However, his focused expression quickly changed into his usual stern one, as he turned back on Myra who continued with her speech.
“No I didn´t, but I am pretty sure, there won´t be anything about us. Don´t you remember? It was Python who beat the marines not us, so there is no reason to put bounty on our heads and so, there is no reason for famous bounty hunter to wait for us in some random port.”
The professor sounded annoyed as if he was suspecting that Myra was making it up just to tease him. However his slightly paler face was suggesting, that he wasn´t completely sure.
Leading their ship into the dock, Gabriel was still carefully watching the mysterious stranger, although he was trying his best to hide his concerns from Myra.
“By the way, it´s a pleasant coincidence that the tournament will take place here. I have few friends that I would like to visit in the city.”
The professor turned back to Myra as he was tying the ship to the pier.
“However, we have more than a week till it´s official opening and it will take me some time to actually find them, here, so if you want to see something, we can make a trip through the city, or...”
“WOOF!”
His talk was interrupted by wary barking of the Beast. Looking on her and there in the direction of her look, Gabriel noticed, that once their ship docked in the port, the tall stranger started walking right to them.
“What the...you weren´t joking?”
Asked Moon, Myra in surprise, while quickly looking around to see, if the hunter was alone or if he had few other friends hidden around.
